Quite different context but the message in 'Christ's Saying becomes clear: Every individual Soul IS in essence ONE!

@@WhatIfProjectPodcast This argument was made before in the white goddess, for the same reasons. The author had an ideological need to reinterpret old evidence to build a theology that conformed to his prejudices.

@@WhatIfProjectPodcast The white goddess? Yeah. The book written by your guest? No. It is a common misconception you have to read books to judge them, you can usually get a very accurate judgment just from reading the cover, with the amazon blurb serving as the back cover in a digital format.
@@WhatIfProjectPodcast I didn't want you to dismiss my book-judging strategy out of hand, so I looked at it again. The book by your author was printed by Keneh Press, a subsidiary of Keneh Ventures, which funds media properties that promote cannabis use. It is revisionist history funded by industry money. Think about how much time you could save if you adopted my strategy. Life is short, there are only so many books to read and you must re-read the best ones periodically, so tactics like this can save lifetimes of misspent reading time.
Pretty interesting until about the 40 minute mark. Then you started the whole apologist tirade and undercut everything that was said before.
It wasn’t really an apologist tirade … he said he was giving his opinion - nothing wrong with what he shared especially when it was prefaced with, “this is my opinion”. ✌🏻

Sure but I think it all depends on how you see the Bible and use it. I don’t see it as an inerrant or perfect Word of God, but as a collection of writings depicting people who were trying to walk with God over the course of thousands of years - sometimes they said things that made sense and other times they said things that were crazy. Either way, I think we can learn from it as we develop our own walk with God or without God or wherever our journeys take us. But I get where you’re coming from, thanks for sharing ✌🏻

Religion can be split, Imho, positive or negative. Islam is warlike, says to enslave, tax, or kill any who will not convert. Voodoo , Santaria, and black Magic religions can murder people (look up "voodoo death due to cardiac arrhythmias" ) or use fear to control, intimidate, or extort money.
Not so with Judaism, Christianity, Buddhism, Taoism.
Only the most extreme fundamentalist Christian sects serve God because of the fear of hell. The rest serve Him because His nature is Love Itself ( a whole 'nother rabbit hole) abd they serve Him by recognizing they could always do better for their Coach who promises (and delivers) blessings if they do.
The Bible contains wisdom so deep J. Peterson and ? J Pageau can discuss the book of Genesis for 2+ hours.
The Bibld contains tremendous scientific wisdom hidden in ritual and alluded to ( non-dominant hemispheric information processing which cannot easily be put into words)
Non-poetic facts: soap manufacture and use by scrubbing with water before eating, avoiding trichanosis and the slaughter of highly intelligent animals just for bacon and ham, not eating filter feeders 14:07 which harbor viruses, vibrios, red tide toxins, and coliform washed into the sea. Managing menstrual blood and feces is prescribed to avoid spreading disease. Throughly cooking meat, plant crop rotation and fallowing a field with salt to avoid soil diseases and kill weed seeds. Using signs to time planting to optimum times, not consuming the blood of animals to avoid catching blood borne pathogens.
The slaughter of every Caananite infant and child has blessed all humankind because many carried untreatable congenital illnesses and STDs when no method to tell those with and without those illnesses. Same with the diseases in MSM and prostitutes, but not in virgins, whose exra-societal DNA limited the effects of a closed society where inbreeding would occur.

Imago Dei is a stupid concept scientifically as there are always some people who contribute more to society and others are a drain. Social Darwinism was the norm everywhere except the Western Enlightenment. Kings made eunuchs, boys ok for adult males to use for sex, forbidden. Societies which considered women equal to men morally and judicially was utterly unheard of in other parts of the world where powerful males dominate.
Kill the Bible, you lose all this.
Remove all art and poetry and literature, churches and cathedrals, and atheists say the world will be better.
