- I am a big fan of Marvel Select and love it as its own line as and as a way to improve my 1:12 scale lines.

I think style is something to consider when integrating Selects into Legends. Some Selects look stylistically fine with Legends, but other Selects have all that texture and detail and paint that stands out compared to Hasbro's smoother flat looking figures. Juggernaut is the prime example, with his Legends one being smoother and arguably fitting in better with the Legends style, compared to Select's ultra textured and paint heavy figure. I personally don't mind that but I think that's something to think about.
See, I'm less picky with that sort of thing. I'm fine with displaying MCU Legends with comic Legends (i.e. MCU Carol Danvers with comic Kamala). But yeah, it depends on each person's preference.
I was thinking of buying the MS Colossus and Juggernaut since I have both Kitty & Magik and wanted Colossus to be alongside them in his classic suit, not the modern ML suit. Now that there's that two pack coming out soon, I'll just pick that up unless it's somehow considerably cheaper to pick up the Select versions.
I’m less picky about that too, I still prefer the highly detailed Toybiz figures and still have those on display
Venom, Colossus, Hulk and Sabertooth. These are the ones that I think that can also work. Considering the ones that I have and you didn't mentioned. Man I need that Rhino!

He's great but I think he ls to big for legends. He's one of the best Select figures ever though.
@@UnparalleledUniverse I think he fits good. Comic height has him at 7'5" so I think that's just about right on.

He is 8½" I actually took a picture of Yao Ming who is 7'6, cropped him and put him on a empty scale chart. I found a picture of Ryan Reynolds who is 6'2 and put him on the chart. He came up to Yao Ming's armpit. I took a picture of the MS Colossus and ML Deadpool together, Deadpool stands a little over Collosus' bicep. That scale looks right to me.
Absolutely! Not my favorite Select, but definitely the best Colossus ever made. That figure is in no way over-scaled compared to Legends. Any big character they put out will fit in perfectly. The characters are always drawn bigger than their stats. Even a character like Beast (who isn't even 6'), for example was drawn gigantic by Jim Lee.
Superior Select figures that go perfectly with Legends:
1). Venom
2). Juggernaut
3). Abomination
4). Colossus
5). Rhino
6). Sabretooth
7). Lizard
8). Anti-Venom
Also EVERY SINGLE HULK (including red hulk)
Ultron, colossus, mephisto and red and green hulks.
I don't own mephisto but I heard he works really good with legends. I am with you on Ultron but disagree with Colossus and the Hulk.
Mephisto works great! Too bad he is stupid expensive

I’m kinda shocked you picked that Thor over the disney store / modern Thor with the alternate head and awesome spinny hammer effect, but still a great list. Really regret not picking up groot when i could now lol

Ultron works really well.
I think Ultron works ok but he's a little big for that look. He's awesome though, probably one of my top 5 Marvel Select figures.
Unparalleled Universe I think he is like one of the more subjective ones you mentioned. I believe Ultron even changes height sometimes because he rebuilds himself a few times, I was curious so I looked on Marvel’s website, which described his height as 6ft by default but variable.
@@LinkMEP he is one of the figures I had in mind when I said there are more but I don't think people would agree . I guess I was wrong haha. But yeah for that classic look I imagine him as being no bigger than Cap.
I've had the select Mephisto in my Legend collection for years works very well and is a very nice Figure fits well with the toybiz Blackheart too
The marvel select Ultron is my favorite select figure.
Since he’s a robot with a different body each time he fights the Avengers, he can fit perfectly against them.
Have him on a flight stand on my major villains display.

Selects Lizard fits well. found him for $40 at Zia Records.
wish that 70's Storm fit too though.
Ultron, Cable, Venom, Thanos, Sandman, even the newer TV show Daredevil might work since he's short compared to other Marvel Selects
Nice choice of topic! Not only are you making unique vids, for someone like me, who is not familiar with ML, MS, and Old ToyBiz figs, these vids act like mini history lessons! :)
I think more modern Thor from the god butcher arc fits pretty good in some displays with legends also the select venom with the dark avengers display is pretty good

Classic Thanos being too big for Legends..for me, if anything, they always looked a bit too short and stumpy. And I just don't see Select Rhino looking too big from any angle with Legends either.

The Marvel Selects I have with my Marvel Legends are Juggernaut, sabertooth, Collosus and Venom. I also put the build a figures Man Thing, Sasquatch, Monster Venom, Sandman, Groot, Thanos and Apocalypse

I see people using the Green Goblin in their displays. I found a Emma Frost for $19 that doesn’t work but works for me because I love Emma lol. Also if you play around with Spider Gwen she could work
Great vid! All good choices to fit in a ML display. I was definitely impressed by that Hulkbuster when I first got mine. The Rhino would be almost perfect if he had better hip articulation. Still a great figure though.

Man that Marvel Select Rocket Raccoon figure and design looks gorgeous, it definitely fits better for display cosmic Marvel Legends.
I'd love to see Groot get outfit, that Marvel Select looks amazing, but it would nice if they gave him DnA's Guardian uniform.

Ya missed out on Lady Deadpool. She fits pretty perfectly, I passed on the ML one just because the Select fits in an looks way cooler then the Legends
I don't have her. I have heard a lot of great thinngs about here though. I am going to have to hunt her down.
That Disney thanos is one of my favorite figures he looks like the thanos rising version

Select Ultron, Select Abomination, Select Cable (with custom head), the other select Thor with the spinning Mjolnir, Select Hulk(s), Red Hulk & Select Venom are also up in mine in addition to all the ones you use.
What do you think of Select Colossus? At first the size didn't bother me, but the larger my X-Men collection grows the more he looks a bit out of scale with Legends. I want Legends to do his classic look on the Colossus they gave us last year.

So happy you didn't include the giant hulks, abomination and thing on this list. Classic thanos is too big too, same with rhino. Juggernaut is just too detailed to look right with legends imo and I think the baf is better scale anyways.
Only selects I use are Groot (I need rocket still), mephisto, uatu, destroyer, hulkbuster, Colossus (but I have his knees bent so he looks shorter).

Would it make sense to do a video about which Legends could fit into Select collections? I have ML Ronan, the old baf ko, and it kind of works + I’m thinking about getting ML Hela too.
I like putting my Marvel Select Thanos in with my Legends. I get that he's not supposed to be huge, but I like to picture him slightly shorter than the Hulk and in newer comics like Deadpool vs Thanos he's much bigger

If Select wasn’t limited on how many figures they could release a year, I’m sure they would release more figures and have unique sculpts for them all. If they did that I would stop collecting Marvel Legends

I want to buy a wolverine legends for my marvel select because I think the select is very large and poorly articulated, which you advise me would be better with the select taking into account the size of the character in the comics.

Thanks! All three of those are nice figures (especially Colossus and Ultron) but I don't think they really work with legends. Just my opinion though.... Ultron maybe but he's a little big for that look.

Collecting Marvel Legends doesn't really work for me, mainly because of the constantly shifting level of quality.
Some figures (especially movie figures) have great molds and paint application that give them a realistic look...and then there's 100% cartoony figures like most comic book Wolverines that have been released in the last 3 years.
Freddie Mercury totally agree. I will give hasbro credit for silver surfer and Thing, those are actually really good.
