Thanks for the tip on setting the top "in" first!
Thanks. Doing this in a few weeks.
So, in case anyone else is trying this fix, it really is a 20 minute replacement, if you actually pay attention to what you're doing. One thing that isn't mentioned in the video: the seal has a surface that looks like a cup shaped channel. That goes DOWN, toward the car sheet metal. If you try to put it in upside down, you're an idiot like me. ;-)
Question: my 2010 BMW 528i Xdrive has metal strips on the top and sides. I have not seen them on any rear glass seal videos. Should I remove them?
I watched to see how the lower seal goes on and he don’t even show it
True, perhaps I'll do a more detailed shot of the lower seal if I end up replacing one again.
I see the original part was glued. Will this require glue also? Will it not fly at high speeds?
+7UP Alliance the one that goes on the bottom has come off .. yes that one will require glue
Chris Asipyan I will replace my top part only soon. You think that will be ok without glue? E46.
I have to do this to my 96 328i but would it be the same? I cant find a video
I'm guessing it's a very similar process
