    AWESOME JOB 👌
    DID THIS FOR THE SECOND TIME ON MY WIFES 2010 BMW 535I. I BOUGHT THE CAR NEW FOR HER IN 2010 . JUST HIT 142,000 MILES. A LOT OF MAINTENANCE TO GET IT THERE.

      You say you are a e60 finatic. I have a '08 e60 and I was wondering what your experience is about interior rattles. I have a few from different areas of the cabin any tips would be appreciated

    Just replaced mine thanks to you. The biggest issue I ran into was getting the second corner pushed into place, otherwise it wasn't bad. Thank you!

    I totally understand about the FL sun and how the cars take a beating. Here in Orlando the sun blasts my 2006 550i all day as it rises from the East all the way to sunset. I’m currently replacing my window moulding for the 3rd time. I also replaced the window moulding 3 times when I had my 1999 540i. Like you, my garage is just too full of “stuff”

    I had an issue with the upper left corner, took forever to get it to seat like the upper right one. Also the bottom seal, right side, didn't meld with the glass as easily as yours's did.

    • @hotroderic8318
      @hotroderic8318  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah! A little persuasion and a bit of modifying helps for sure. You may want to use a bit of 3m adhesive in order to keep it in place if necessary (green tube). Well thanks for watching and hope it helped you with the install. Any questions feel free to ask.

    I congratulate you, excellent work. I have the same problem, where did you get the replacement rubber? Water is already entering the rear glass of my car, and in fact created a short circuit and the water fell on the radio amplifier and damaged it. I appreciate you can help me.

    Was the rear window leaking from this and does this seal the leak? We have been finding water on the floor in the rear seat area. We sprayed water on the car and found the rear both corners were dripping on the rear posts when we did.

    • @hotroderic8318
      @hotroderic8318  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      superturbocharged the seal around the rear windshield protects from leaking but it’s main reason is to Chanel the water away from finding it’s way in through the factories main window seal. I suspect you have a door vapor shield leak the film has finally separated from its factory seal a common issue with BMW. Your sunroof drains Rear pods can also be clogged. I only changed them because of them rotting and drying out. The capo shields are behind the doors interior panels.

      @@hotroderic8318 Thank you. The car was kept garaged since new and really never driven in the rain, but we brought it out this year and unfortunately discovered this. I plan to replace all the seals and get her back in the garage asap.

    What about the adhesive?

    • @hotroderic8318
      @hotroderic8318  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There shouldn’t be any adhesive used whatsoever... you want to be be able to remove it at any time if necessary or if it dry rots. I’ve installed these weather seal numerous times and never had to use adhesives. Only the front windshield header seal has a 3m peel away double sided tape inside of it to better adhere to the roof of the car to seal it on. Hope this helps you. Thanks for watching.

    what tools are you using?

    • @hotroderic8318
      @hotroderic8318  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dan I’m not using any real tools other than a Snap on non marring plastic scraping kit ... do not use any metal scrapers or chisels unless they are made of plastic. I used a small tiny little green handle pick only as a back up and only used it very carefully to pluck out any stubborn jammed pieces that would just blow out with compressed air. Watch the video carefully and good luck.

      Dan Skinner you can go with any set actually I just happen to have that Snap On set cause most of my tools are Snap On and Mac Harbor freight sells a decent set as well if your looking to spend less. In fact I purchased a set from harbor so I wouldn’t turn my 60 dollar set into shit so quickly. Lol. Anyway how ever you feel. Just git’R done!! Good luck!
