Hi Nath..... You made a good job of that installation, well done. Im looking forward to watching your forthcoming videos. Thank you for posting, Best regards to you and Jon, Stefano.
I find a solution for my problem, the antenna wire in the radio needs to be connected on the yellow and red wire in a US model, maybe different in a UK models.
Sorry, just working through the comments, just replied to your other - Great suff, glad you sorted it - weird how they change things for different markets - pain in the butt :)
great video very helpful for me to follow. I cannot see any specific part codes for what you have ordered. Is it possible to detail the connects2 harness and the joying head unit. Apologies if your have it listed elsewhere nd I have missed it.
www.connects2.com/Product/ProductItem/CTSFA004.2 is the one I used, but check the year of yours to be sure :) (sorry for slow reply, been away for a few days )
Hi ,had an 2015 abarth ,installed a 7" single din joying and it didn't start at all ,bought a chinese canbus harness but didn't connect it yet. also connected an outer amplifier. how sould i connect it? like you demonstrated here?
Tried to connect 8'' single din joying in my 2013 Abarth and found that device is starting but no image on the screen. Used 12V power supply at home and connected only three wires: +12V, Gnd, ACC (yellow, black and red). All good, system works. After disconnected ACC wire screen went black and system went to sleep mode.
Hey mate, what’s the kit you bought and where did you get it from? Looks nice and versatile for piggy backing off a cable rather than splicing. Keen to get one.
Hi there, this wire tapping kit was from AliExpress. I’m sure there are millions like it for sale elsewhere. a.aliexpress.com/_mK9LEb2 Thanks very much for the comment 👍
🤣 we had a 1.2 500c here - traded that for the Panda 4x4 traded that for the Abarth - the Abarth is an amazing car really - great laugh, way faster yet overall more economical than the 1.2 as we thrashed it everywhere and the twinair when thrashed drunk fuel like an alcoholic in a gin factory - get one 😈
Have you tried a software update - that is Joying's weak like, any type of customer service, the products are really good, quality good, but if you need help 💩
You can use the touch screen - there is a floating home button to connect to various bits, I would not recommend it, very hard to see, and thats stopped, impossible when moving - there maybe a unit with a remote that you can hold in a holder or some clip to the steering wheel ?
How did you get the microphone wire from the bottom of the A pillar to the back of the stereo? Did you just reach your hand into the stereo hole? I'm trying to do that...
@@DrivenMadShow hi thanks for answering my question. I actually have another one. Did you manage to put the mic inside the small area where the factory mic is located? I can’t figure out how to access that little space. I know how to remove the overhead console with the dome lights in it but, as I said, I can’t get the factory mic out of that little area with the vented holes in it, it’s sealed up tight. Any advice on what to do with the aftermarket mic is appreciated, thanks
Thank you for the video and information. Those connectors for splicing wires are no good. You need to use male-to-female connectors with a special patching tool (and even better, add a soldering process to it).
Hi there, great install video! Could you post the actual link to the unit you purchased from Joying please? I have had a look on the website and even sent an email to them asking them to recommend the appropriate head unit and cage but have had no response as yet. I have an Abarth 500 also. i love the way the head looks and just want a nice install following your tutorial. Many thanks !
It is a great unit, works excellently - had an issue with wireless carplay, their customer service is non existent :( otherwise it is one on my favorite upgrades
hi i have a 2015 fiat abarth and i have the same problem, i need to get signal to the amp , radio comes ON but not audio also is a Beat system do you know what wire i need to splice?
Could be the Speaker Wires: If using a factory system, the audio signal might be carried through different speaker wires. Identify the speaker wire colour codes from a wiring diagram of yours as it may vary from mine (its an import).
Very very good video! Thank you for your effort! After installing the radio, does your subwoofer under the passenger seat work normally or did you have to unpin something on the cables? Best regards
Great video, were you able to set all the steering wheel control buttons or just the volume and mute? I don’t have a Connects2 unit in the US yet and used a Metra interface and Metra Axxess SWC module wired to Key 1 but could only get the volume and mute as the other buttons register the same resistance levels as the volume up button so the head unit was not able to distinguish all the commands.
Yes! All the steering wheel buttons were available, and my head unit has a lot more options than I have buttons. Unfortunately I don’t know much about this but the connects2 canbus has been perfect. I recommend contacting connects2 to see what they can do. Thanks for the comment 👍
@@DrivenMadShow thanks for the reply, I have ordered the connects2 Fiat kit from the UK to be shipped to the US and will redo the installation with that kit. Good to know all the buttons worked for you with the Connects2 kit.
Great video! Ive been searching for forever for a screen for my 2015 Abarth. Is this the "universal model" or does it have a specific model ID that I need to find on Joying's website. Thanks!
Hey mate. I am looking at getting this exact Joying headunit for my Abarth. Do you mind linking all the wiring harnesses you need to get? Thanks. EDIT: Nevermind. I just noticed you mention that the headunit comes with a generic harness.
Hi, yes the stereo does come with a regular harness but if you want the steering wheel buttons to work you will need a canbus harness as well. Check out “Connects2” as they have all the info and a really simple plug in harness which I used in this video. Hope this helps. Thanks for the comment and good luck 👍 www.connects2.com
Not sure what to say (as we need every sub we can get :) .... best look at last year (when Reg featured in all of them 🥰 ) - sadly he had feline leukemia, hence why heating, cat flap and auto feeder went into the mancave when he decided to squat with us - in December it manifested, vet did everything she could, but he did not make it to 2023 - great couple of years ( I am the classic, don't want a cat - but had the catflap that text me to say he was in or out - the auto feeder had a camera so I could check for the one day a year we did not go and feed him ourselves 😂) we never took him home as he wandered in and out of all the factory units, one chap banged on the door every morning - Reg would come out and he (and his dog) would walk around for a bit, Reg would go in there for brekkie, then be waiting for us to arrive (for yet more food) miss him a lot, but he still got us a sub 😇

Oddly, after a couple of years it’s still possibly the best mod done, we love it, love the look and the air is no problems, 40 degrees here at the moment 😎
Did it in our house - wearing my baggy trousers - it was one step beyond, but now its in, it must be love, ready to take a trip and take the night boat to Cairo 🤣
It's good, issue with bluetooth connection and the fix from Joying (an update) is beyond complicated (as we have iMac's I think) the screen top notch, no freeze issues or anything like that, only use apple car play, love it
Cracking video. Looks about the best unit for our new Abarth.

Looking at this unit, how arw you getting on with it 6 months later? Any issues? Reliable? Sound?
Top notch, to be honest, faultless - looks great, very happy !
Great screen - might just be treating myself to one
Really lifts the cabin on the Abarth
Very nice and detail video. Which size of the screen did you get? There are multiple sizes on joying. Thanks.

Is there any other unit that sits flush?
Only ones I found were on AliExpress / ebay etc, but very cheap - I wanted a glass screen, so chose this style.
Can you recommend a radio for a fiat 500 5” unconnect
There are a few on AliExpress, but recommend I cannot - our Joying one works well, but not a direct replacement you need to fit it.
Thank you for the video and information.

Ok, thanks, we are useless at soldering - no clue why, just cannot do it :(
