    5 stars and two thumbs up for your video which encouraged me to do the same conversion on my 500c, having upgraded the door speakers already to Rockford Fosgate's speakers earlier, and now the sound is really fantastic. The original set up is an already very good OEM Interscope sound system but the original subwoofer speaker gets its membrane disintegrated with time so your upgrade is an excellent one. For other potential viewers just a small suggestion to pause and look carefully at the disposition of the wires at the frame 14:39, which you nailed, that is the correct way of connecting the "+"s, they are sitting on diagonal opposite sides and the yellow and red wires need to be connected to the "wider" connectors on the speaker marked also with a red dot of paint, as already shown in the video. Thank you for the very nice video and for the references.

    where is the pillar tweeters? and the crossover attached to the pillar tweeters?

    Inside the plastic case in which the subwoofer is inserted there is a small PCB, I imagine for cutting frequencies. At this point how should I connect the rear sub (which I will replace with a Ciare 130cs)? I have doubts as it would be connected in parallel to the rear speakers by varying the impedance at 2ohm, making the rear channels work at 2ohm and the front ones at 4ohm. Do you know how I can solve it or does the board inside the sub box have a system to maintain the 4ohm (if necessary I can check with a multimeter by connecting it to the wires that reach the stereo from the rear speakers)?
    I will use a 4 channel amplifier (4x75Wrms)
    Thank you

    Looks nice. But why putting coaxial speakers in the front doors when you have the tweeters in the A-pillar?

    • @DrivenMadShow
      @DrivenMadShow  ปีที่แล้ว

      The original sound system was pretty bad, so rather than remove/replace the tweeters I just thought it best to just ignore them. I choose the speakers on value for money and these seem pretty good. I’m certainly no professional that’s for sure.
      Thanks for your comment I appreciate it 👍

      @@DrivenMadShow The front speakers you installed have a tweeter, the issue now is that you have 2 tweeter pairs with different specs in the front, plus another pair in the back.
      It will sound better than stock, but if you had chosen the SXE 1750S (that has the same tweeter and speaker, just separate), you would have paid marginally more than the SXE 1725S that you have installed, and you would have the tweeter in the intended placement and without mixing sound signatures.

  • @1rexrex
    @1rexrex ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Unless you completely abandoned the tweeters. The tweets on the Alpines are receiving any sound. If they are. They are pulling the sound stage down. Too many tweeters can have their own issues.

    A good upgrade video thanks. I’ve recently swapped the front speakers in my Panda 169 to the same Alpine 1725 speakers . Like chalk and cheese! Next upgrade will probably be to move the 1725s to the rear doors and put in Alpine 1750 speakers (with the separate tweeters) to the front. After that maybe a underseat sub? I’m hoping you will do a video first to show how to install one properly 👍.

    • @DrivenMadShow
      @DrivenMadShow  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ous comes with the sub as standard - maybe worth looking at getting a used one from a breaker ? should go in a 169 - then its a cheap (ish) install ?

    • @2rocship
      @2rocship ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@DrivenMadShow good idea using a 500 sub in the panda. How would you secure it to floor? I’d be nervous drilling the floor. The car was owned by an elderly lady for its first 17 years and it had only done 20000 miles. Since I bought it in the spring, I’ve added 5000 miles, a towbar, alpine speakers and a pioneer head unit. Poor thing must be in shock 😂

    • @DrivenMadShow
      @DrivenMadShow  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Abarth has 3 bolts that go in the floor - the sub Nath fitted into the ML was an aftermarket box thing; was a pain in the ass, taking up too much space, and that's a big ish car ! - under the seat is great, if there is nothing there (I cannot remember and we had our 169's seats out 🙈) - it's a brave pill and bolt to the floor or bend a bit of metal and locate it with the seat bolts ? Great find a low mile Panda, even better if she garaged it - I think the 169 is built really well, the doors are especially good, love the arm rest grab handle bit - the newer ones are rubbish in comparison - Panda's love a good thrashing, it must be like being set free for it ( you need a name for it - my suggestion is Brenda 🤣 in honor of the old girl (well that just sounds like an old girl )

      @@DrivenMadShow My previous car (Citroen Berlingo) was written off after being hit when parked up on the street. I wanted to downsize so I could park on my small driveway out of harms way. Got a soft spot for small Fiats (used to have a Cinquecento sporting back in the 90s). Was looking to get a Panda 319 but your videos convinced me that a 169 was still worth having. Very happy with the car. Just enough power (54hp) when towing a camping trailer.

    • @DrivenMadShow

      @@2rocship Sorry, bit slow in replying - if I were to pick one, the 169 would be my choice as well, just feels more robust, the dash looks great when the new stereo is in, transforms it - I was spoiled in the UK with a company car, had a boggo E class Merc last, loved that car, it was just so easy at everything, and all the better for being a boggo one, I was lent a top of the range one when being serviced (other than the sunroof) it was nowhere near as comfortable or fun as mine - when the contract was up (the car tax was horrific ) I bought my own car - a used automatic Fiat Qubo, in metallic lime green, my wife hated it, really hated it, I loved it, it had a politically incorrect name and was the topic of conversation everywhere I went in it - frankly, I would get one here but an auto is mental money here in Portugal - keep is updated on Brenda 🤣

    Nice little upgrade. Did the speakers in the front have the correct plugs? Did you make sure the wires in the new ones went in the same way as the old ones? If you don’t know you might get them wrong and get the phase wrong.

    • @DrivenMadShow
      @DrivenMadShow  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes they plugged straight in! All 4 connectors that came with the speakers where the same. But my rear speakers have a smaller plug than the front for some reason. luckily with the fronts there is only one way to plug the connector. Thanks for the comment, much appreciated!
