- A certaine someone commented on my last video that she won't comment on anything I do until I make a TOS video... Look what you've done.
Also huge thanks to MacduffProd, who's been the main recipient of my intense fangirling and screaming. Thank you for your endurance.
Anyway, in this video I've tried to portray Jim's relationship with the ship & the crew. Because the recurring theme of TOS was that Jim would do anything for the crew, and I am so happy it was also the theme of Beyond.
I mean, I loved basically everything about TOS, but this is what I love most.
Also I fucked up with texts. Again. I should forgo working with texts at all.

I love that one small moment you placed in where Sulu and Bones had both protectively moved in front of Kirk!
In what episode did that happen?
Honestly I'm in tears right now. This hits the core of what I loved Trek about, the bond between the crew and the sacrifices Kirk would make to save them. Honestly the Triumvirate is timeless and you've captured that quality so well between both series, pressing up powerful scene up against powerful scene between TOS and AOS, like Spock carrying McCoy or the "I don't believe in no win scenarios" quote. Stunning work. Thanks for bringing back the meaning in Trek in videos. I mean, I love ship vids but THIS, this is what I love Trek for.

You captured the essence of Kirk's character. He was never my favourite, but now, I truly feel why he was such a great leader. I can't say anything else. Amazing.

I've been binge-watching ST TOS fanvids these past few days, and this one is really amazing ! You did a lot in just 90 seconds! I'm not fond of AOS, but you showed it has nice references that echo with TOS. I love the Jim you depicted here, a selfless leader, alway worried about his ship and his crew, and a crew always backing him up, working all together, trusting each other.
Thank you so much for such a nice comment! That is exactly what I wanted to show - Jim, who would risk everything to save his crew. I see why you don't like AOS as much as TOS. I don't either, but I do think that Beyond showed Jim as he is supposed to be, not some macho man boy wonder in 2009 and Into Darkness. It was after Beyond that I fell in love w the world and watched TOS for the first time, and the wonderful characters they have build there.

This video is just amazing.. I love the scenes you chose to show that they all would do anything to save the others, for example Spock taking care of McCoy in TOS since even though the two of them often disagree they really mean a lot to eachother and of course their common friend Kirk taking responsibility and being ready to sacrifice for his crew is the best leader you can imagine.. I love the trio and what you made out of it, thank you!

Finally someone who has TOS and AOS. It gives you an amazing dynamic and a view into the character of kirk. My only thing would of been to add more Scott from TOS. Only thing I'd change with this amazing piece!

Хех, сериал вообще классный. Очень добрый, почти всегда хеппи-энд, но в то же время поднимаются серьёзные вопросы и темы. А "графика" такая милая, аж до слёз.
В общем, я рекомендую сериал для лёгково времяпровождения. (Лёгкого, говорю я, я которая месяц не вылазила с ноута и жертвовала сном ради следующей серии, а потом по просмотру последнего фильма рыдала в 2:30 ночи)

Firstly, this is a TOS/AOS video, not a TOS video, so this is cheating.
Secondly, how come out of all characters you pick the worst one. OK, in AOS he might not be that bad, but in TOS he's just laughable.
Last but not least, this is an awesome vid. I honestly love it! The timing and the effects are great. Well, the text effects are indeed not perfect, but mainly because they're too big and distracting, at least in my opinion. I understand your pain completely, I'm never happy with the text effects myself and they're a pain in the ass. But they're not that bad here, just too distracting. Otherwise, this vid is perfect

Heh, why don't you like Kirk? I mean, whole show is laughable (and I say this with utmost love - I binge watched it under a month), and although Jim is all bright smile and all, I did like his devotion to his crew and friends. And how often he ended up shirtless/in a torn shirt.

Idk, he always annoyed me. Both the actor and the character. And his being constantly shirtless and his romances with everything that looks female. I like him a bit more in the movies, I mean the old movies II - V (because I and VI suck) and Star Trek Generations. Fortunately, he is a bit too old in them to be without his shirt all the damn time.
