This video just makes me realise how much Star Trek means to me. I joined the fandom possibly less than 2 years ago, but considering the amount of fandoms I am in, it didn't really feel that significant to me. But now that I look back on the past, Star Trek has always been, in a way, like a beacon of hope to me, of how we humans envision our future, and of how we can find our own crew to rely upon and love in life. I'm still slowly watching TOS and TNG, trying to catch up but at the same time wishing I would never finish them. It truly means a lot to me, especially amidst this global pandemic and all the chaos.
