    (SCALING)
    E- Extrude
    S - Scale ( move mouse )
    E + S - Scale, And extrude
    (MODELING)
    Shift + A = Add stuff
    Tab = Edit Mode (Scale, Rotate)
    Modes (Vertex, Line Select, Face Select Mode) (Top Left Corner)
    G = Part/Select Freecam
    O = Proportional Editing
    Ctrl + R (Scroll Wheel) = Loop Cuts
    S + Any Axis = Scale in any Direction
    E + Any Axis = Extrude in any Direction
    (MOVEMENT)
    Shift + F = Free Cam (if shift + f doesn't work for flying, try shift + ')
    Middle Mouse Wheel Press = Rotate
    Middle Mouse Wheel = Scroll In Out
    Shift Middle Mouse Wheel = Scroll Side to side
    Scroll + Alt = Scroll Between Sides
    R = Rotate
    R + Any Axis = Rotate in Any Direction

    Thank you for starting at the very basics. Its refreshing to click on a tutorial that doesn't treat beginners like they know everything or jump straight into modelling.

    Just getting back into Blender after an 18 year hiatus. It sure has changed and I have lost most of what I did know back then. But thanks to you it's all coming back now. Back then you couldn't even undo. you had to constantly save so if you screwed up you could just close out and reopen the last saved good one.

    Found many turtorials of people yapping about random stuff whilst i didn't even know how to create something else than a cube...

      Your problem is probably that youre on Layout. You have to go on Modelling. You can find this function on the upper side. I hope I solved your problem.

    this taught me 20 times more stuff in a much easier to understand way and shorter amount of time than the several 20 minute + long professional blender tutorials i watched before.

    Appreciate this. I took a few 3d modeling classes through fullsail. they taught maya. now out of school im not wanting to pay 1500 per year for a maya subscription so learning to transition to blender

    i went from source level editing to this and it bugged me for so long, most of the tutorials out there were just ridiculous and it stayed install on my pc for a year or more and then i finally found this video and it inspired me to touch the program and i've learnt more in under 5 minutes of this video than i have done from any other video i have ever watched about blender... THANKYOU! :)

    This was probably the most helpful tutorial I've found while trying to make 3D assets for the first time for a game! A lot of other tutorials would skip over how to do the most basic but important parts of modeling, and then simply show you how to do a million different things in Blender with little to no time given to each concept. This one helped me understand what I'll be using most of the time and that's all I need to understand how to get started.

    Thank you for your quick and concise explanation of the most basic steps in Blender and not convoluting it with unnecessary crap such as your neighbor driving by or your dog passing gas. Sounds like many people benefited from this video. How about continuing with a few more.

    For anyone coming to this recently the mapping for freelooking changed to change it back go to :
    Edir in the top left
    Preferences
    Keymap
    In the search bar on the top search for Navigation
    You can then change the binding to whatever you like. (Shift F is what is mentioned in the video)

    I'm so glad for this video, I just wanted a basic navigation tutorial that wasn't super long. You are also fun to listen to! Some videos I saw are a bit hard to focus on because the presenter drones... you are so chipper - it's really great!

    Without the face select, S and E have different functions on my desktop. E simple duplicates the objects and S enlarges, shrink, or extends it on the z,x,y axis's.

    I have a suggestion(might be hard, but will for sure get more ppl to watch your vids):
    You can put every hot key u press on the screen, so players w/o speakers can also get it

    omg thank you for this little tutorial. im brand new to blender and this helped a lot. i could figure out how to move the cam from the initial center point and im so glad it was one of the first things you showed in the video

    Great inteo tutorial! I've also seen side to side camera movement referred to as "panning" the camera.
