The best tip I've ever read: Don't judge your own island to harshly! You see so many picture perfect island on socials and it might frustrate people whose island isn't up to that standard in their eyes. I remember I was feeling so dumbed down by how my island was compared to others, and by 2/3 of my playthrough people were complimenting me and asking how I did things. I think the thing I'm getting to, is the start is gonna be rough but after that it's up to you to find what you want to make with your village/town. Look for inspiration, maybe even get a piece of papper and map out what you want to do, I think theirs an app where you can literally design your island but I'm not sure the name of it. Either way, everyone is able to make a masterpiece, it just takes time.
It also takes a long time to actually get items and diy recipes/ ingredients to actually build one of those super decorated islands naturally. Most of the people who post new every inch decorated islands like every month are technically cheating by using nookazon and or treasure islands. So don't feel bad or like you're too slow if you're just playing normally. Take your time and enjoy the game.

Pro tip on getting blue roses. It won't be the 25% shown in the graph but it has only 4 steps. Seed whites mixed together to get purples, mix those purples with seed reds to get pinks, mix the pinks with seed yellows for special reds. Mix those for a 6% chance for blue roses. Lot less of a headache.

The max number of bridges and inclines goes up to 10 if you have the Pro Construction License :3 It appears as a buyable item in the Nook Stop if you already have 8 bridges and inclines already present. Steep requirements but can be very handy!
I don't know if this might be helpful for someone but: whenever you are going to shake several trees have your net on your hand, and try to shake it from the front and a little bit with an angle, too, so a bit to the side, if a wasp appears, right after the character shocks press A and you will catch it! they sell pretty good and you will have around 5 wasps a day (2500 each at Nook's Cranny and 3750 if you wait for Flick so that makes more than 10k bells if you can catch them all!)
If you get wasps you can run into a building if one is close enough. You don’t have to be super close, but you would need to have a clear & close to straight path to a door.
This is great thanks for sharing! I learned that if your turnips spoil, you can set them out and wait for bugs like ants and flies to come eat it, then catch them with your net. This was great for me as I hadn’t donated those to the museum yet.

Thank you for the tips! I restarted my island recently. Last time I paid $ for bells so I never worked the island, it became boring. There was so much about island design and turnips that I had no clue on
This was super helpful, considering I am a beginner! This definitely deserves more attention! (The dimensions of the buildings are just what I needed to plan my island out!)
Using party poppers instead of nets for wasp nests is a lot easier. Just use the party popper and they fly away. It can be in your tool belt or your inventory. The wasps stop when you access either of those things so you have plenty of time to grab them.
This is super helpful for a newbie like me. My island sucks bc I had no clue what I was doing 😂 I think I’m moving all the homes to the beach and starting over like you suggested. Thank you ❤
0:39 you literally save my life I was having trouble knowing where to put the house is what I need to renovate and terraform my island you saved my life ❤ Thanks for the great video
When I had gotten back on AC and realized that there was a new camera app feature, I knew it was only a matter of time until someone tried utilizing it to make TH-cam content! This came out really nice, probably one of my favorite AC tutorial videos I've come across. Very well done!
For placing houses on the beach, you can move residents houses and your house (Moving residents houses is 50K, moving yours is 30K) To move your house, you have to have paid off your moving fee (5,000 nook miles) and taken a 98,000 bell loan for your new house. You can replace houses by talking to Tom Nook after building Nooks Cranny.
Great video, super helpful! Also I’m loving all the additional tips and tricks people are leaving in the comments! This is such a great community! One that I’d like to add, in case no one else has yet, is that your turnips will only go bad if you time travel backwards! If you go forward, they should stay just fine (granted you don’t time travel past Saturday) Hope this helps! Happy crossing!!
I usually gather resources on trees on my island in the beginning with axes- and one big tip that helps is when chopping a tree have a net to the left or right of the axe and when Wasps come down just press left or right the game will face you forward then press A and boom caught a wasp every single time.
Love love looove all this advice! I just started playing new horizons, used to play the old animal crossing back in the day and it’s so different. I’ve literally only been playing for 3 days or so. I didn’t know you have to beautify your island for KK to come so I still have a long way to go before all that. But I appreciate this advice. I have paid for online yet so I can’t visit real islands but once I have things settled I will! Thanks so much!
Even though it wasn't on your list, I had no idea you could plant the fruits/veggies from crops as starts, I thought you could only plant the literal ones you got from Leif. THANK YOU!!!!!!
I got burntout of the game and didn't play it for a year. The burnout didn't come from only the game itself but also from school and stuff. Now I have started playing it again and it has been really fun and made me feel guilty for not playing it :") Thank you for these tips, these videos just make me want to go back to the game and play it for the 3th time of the day :D
I am just starting out and this is my first Animal Crossing game (also my first video game without counting a couple crappy Android apps I’ve had over the past couple years.) These sound* so helpful and literally perfect timing! Thank you so much 🙏🏻
Had a switch in 2020, sold it to a friend. Animal crossing was probably my most played game. Last month I've started getting an itch to play again, been a minute since I played a nice, relaxing game. Naturally, I bought a switch again and this is helping me get back in
I really like your channels energy. It’s nice for in the background or watching someone else build. I hope that you continue to have fun with it this year 🎉
2 things i wanna add: Always carry a net when shaking trees, particularly if you havent had the 5 wasp drops from each day (also face the tree from the front and the nest will drop to the side or right where you are, then all u have to do is swing your net without running away in fear lmao) And with crops, if u have the patience to get a 3 star island, kappas boat tours have a pretty good chance of islands with a bunch of specific crops (all carrots etc) and u can take home a ton of any ones u dont have :)
So freakin helpful!!! I just started playing in 2023… greatly appreciated. I love playing the game and these tips make the experience even more enjoyable.
This is extremely helpful I just saw it but Omgee the amount of bells I’m going to be making now thanks to you and I’m just starting out is freaking phenomenal thank you.! Please keep the videos coming.!
Loved your video....I'm always learning new things. The comments below brought up others I thought about while watching yours. I'm at the designing phase. I didn't know where to begin in moving my houses.
Very good video but here’s some expansions on the things that might clear things up for new players. - in spring when you hit bamboo, you can get young spring bamboo instead of normal bamboo to craft seasonal items - if you shake a tree you may also find a item inside of the tree (one spawns per day) and ornaments inside of decorated ceder trees in winter. Bells also can fall from theme - you can use a toilet in the game to remove the fruit/food buff - eating cooked or purchased food will give 5 spaces of food buff instead of one. Eating turnips will fill all 10, which is fast for wildlife removal. - if you break a rock, it will respawn the next day, yes, but it will be in a different, randomized location (this can be manipulated) - each day one rock on your island is filled with money instead of rocks - there is one diy recipe bottle on your beaches every single day, not including your secret beach. Your friends can take it from your island so make sure to collect it before having others over - you can wait for lief to come to your island for the vegetables and shrubs, but you can also have him set up a shop at Harv’s island where you will be able to buy from him all week long (he will still continue to visit your island, unlike Mabel) - bugs are very good for making money, but keep in mind that old videos about emptying a nook mile island and farming tarantulas has been patched and no longer works. Look for more recent farming methods. hope this helps if you were confused why something might be happening in game ^^
Just started playing animal crossing seriously. I’ve had the game since it came out but I’ve never really been that interested in playing it. I’m not binge watching videos about it while playing the game 😂
Just found your video today, these tips are so helpful. I just started my island not too long ago, I’m so excited to play the game again and I’m taking the game slowly before thinking about designing and when I do I’ll be sure to use these tips^^
I don't really get, why so many players always fuss about being unlucky with wasps, while chopping/shaking trees. Just pre-equip the net, shake through any fruitless tree once. The first shake always drops what is set for that tree for the day, you can't get multiple furniture, bells or wasps from the same tree, only resources like seasonal ones or twigs. You either get a wasp nest, furniture, 100 bells, one seasonal resource, a twig or nothing at all during the first shake, afterwards it's just twigs and seasonal resources, if you spam shake the tree. Additionally, you always automatically get turned to the wasps by default from the game, so you just swing the net instantly and voila, that tree's safe for shaking/chopping away on it all day long risk free. As a morning routine, I always pre shake all my fruitless trees with a net in hand, so if I invite someone, it's safe for them and for me, too.
For max resources from rocks: Dig three hole one space behind the rock, place yourself in the middle and hit the rock as fast as possible and see to it, that the nine tiles around the rock are free from other rocks, twigs or holes when you start hitting it. Once you hit it the first time an invisible timer starts and once that timer expires you can’t get any more rocks. (Or money) 🕳️ 🕳️ 🕳️ ⬜️😁⬜️ ⬜️🪨⬜️ ⬜️⬜️⬜️
For the rock hitting, make sure all 8 squares adjacent to the rock are clear for maximum reward. And hitting with shovel is slightly faster than axe, so gives you a chance at all 8 rewards.
If Kapp'n takes you to a nighttime island, spend some time watching the sky. Shooting stars will keep appearing pretty much the whole time you are there. There might be 2 in a row, than a gap of a few seconds to like a minute, then 3 or 4 shooting stars, and so on. They appear in a random pattern. I'm not sure if there are nighttime islands without shooting stars, I've only ever been taken to two, but they both had shooting stars.
First off THANK YOU! OMG love you for putting the dimensions for all the buildings, I'm no beginner but I never took the time, and thank you for putting them all together and one nice screenshot 😁👏 Also I love that gown you're wearing! I'd like that code please
Thank you!! I don’t have the code on hand right now, but if you look at my fashion show video it will be in the description, it’s called the autumn artist gown I think:)
Hiya great video! I've been playing animal crossing since march 19, 2021 and i did learn something new rn :) i'm gonna go for the stunt trees on my new island i started 3 weeks ago! thanks for your tips! even though alot of them i already know :) i subbed your channel! 💚
I can’t jump across the water to get to the rest of my island, it’s really bothering me, I don’t know how to get one of those sticks. I also can’t make my own spade yet or axe ?
I’m just now starting out as of a few days. I had no idea this game has so much to offer 😭 your island is beautiful omg. I regret placing houses in the land now 😭 i only put my house near the beach (not on it). Ahhh
If you do have a resident services that is only one or 2 tiles away from the airport, I have seen some amazing builds that still manage to hide it both natural and urban islands. My old island was very close and I still managed to do it. It comes down to if you really want to deal with the challenge or find something else. But it isn't a deal breaker by its lonesome.
Hello! I've been playing for a decent while and managed to learn some new stuff, thanks! Also I was wondering if you have any tips for planning islands, I have about a third of mine planned but there's a lot left... 🤔
That’s awesome! And my suggestion for finding little things to plan on your island is turning to social media. Pinterest has the BEST inspiration in my opinion. I would throw in some nice waterfalls and terraforming, too. You can never go wrong with that:) If you don’t want to go in blind with terraforming, I suggest maybe working with a blank space on your island so you can get a feel for what you want, or maybe ever draw it out irl. Before putting my island together I used Procreate to completely map out what I wanted (I took a screenshot of my island map and made it blank) this helped me so much. Maybe I’ll do a video on space fillers someday:)
I do the same with my apples , for rocks and trees .. also use coconuts that gather on kappn tours to get sell fruit nook points to go .also use kappn tours if you don’t want to plant any extra shrubs or trees
That cottagecore dress is so cute O: We just got the Resident Building so we're pretty far behind haha. My girlfriend got into AC just a few weeks ago and it was maybe a few days later I was into it in no time. I never realized how extensive the game was. I subscribed and I'll go through more videos later. You do a good voice over and your videos are nicely done.
it says in the book that every time you hit rocks there is a 10 second silent timer that goes off. you have to hit the rock as many times as possible in 10 seconds, which is eight times.
this will give you eight resources from each rock per day. the way to do this is to dig three holes behind you or plant three items behind youso your character won’t move around as much

Oh, and make sure there isn’t a hole or weeds in the 9 spaces around a rock. Otherwise there’s not a free spot for one of your resources to fall.
Hope that makes sense!
Yeah that’s another way too! Thank you for clearing that up:)))
Well described. Covered off in my video ;)
I use little L fences for some of my rocks depending where they are to prevent the push back.
Thank you! I’m glad this could help:)))
Using party poppers instead of nets for wasp nests is a lot easier. Just use the party popper and they fly away. It can be in your tool belt or your inventory. The wasps stop when you access either of those things so you have plenty of time to grab them.
Nah the putting the houses on the beach tip is smart. Awesome video
You’re welcome! I’m glad this helped you out
When I had gotten back on AC and realized that there was a new camera app feature, I knew it was only a matter of time until someone tried utilizing it to make TH-cam content! This came out really nice, probably one of my favorite AC tutorial videos I've come across. Very well done!
I love this comment, thank you so much:)
If you go forward, they should stay just fine (granted you don’t time travel past Saturday)
Hope this helps! Happy crossing!!
Thank you! And isn’t everyone so helpful?? I love it:)
I usually gather resources on trees on my island in the beginning with axes- and one big tip that helps is when chopping a tree have a net to the left or right of the axe and when Wasps come down just press left or right the game will face you forward then press A and boom caught a wasp every single time.
Good tips!
You’re welcome!! I’m glad this helped you out!
Even though it wasn't on your list, I had no idea you could plant the fruits/veggies from crops as starts, I thought you could only plant the literal ones you got from Leif. THANK YOU!!!!!!
You’re welcome:)
I’m glad you’re back at it!! Also I’m happy the tips helped encourage you!
I am just starting out and this is my first Animal Crossing game (also my first video game without counting a couple crappy Android apps I’ve had over the past couple years.) These sound* so helpful and literally perfect timing! Thank you so much 🙏🏻
You’re welcome:)
I'm completely new to playing Animal Crossing and you're videos have been so incredibly helpful!! Thank you so much 💞
Thank you!
I love how you take the time to like all the comments, I love your vids btw❤
Your channel is going to blow up- keep up the great vids! 🙌
Thank you so much:)
Had a switch in 2020, sold it to a friend. Animal crossing was probably my most played game. Last month I've started getting an itch to play again, been a minute since I played a nice, relaxing game. Naturally, I bought a switch again and this is helping me get back in
I’m glad you liked it!! Have fun with it:)
I'm new to ACNH and love it. Thank you for posting this video as I found it very helpful as I build my island.
Thank you, I’m glad I could help and have fun!!
I really like your channels energy. It’s nice for in the background or watching someone else build. I hope that you continue to have fun with it this year 🎉
Thank you so much! I appreciate it!
2 things i wanna add:
Always carry a net when shaking trees, particularly if you havent had the 5 wasp drops from each day (also face the tree from the front and the nest will drop to the side or right where you are, then all u have to do is swing your net without running away in fear lmao)
And with crops, if u have the patience to get a 3 star island, kappas boat tours have a pretty good chance of islands with a bunch of specific crops (all carrots etc) and u can take home a ton of any ones u dont have :)
I love this vid too! Its super helpful, and u have such a soft relaxing voice uwu
@@skwidgril8171 thank you so muchhh
I'm starting my animal crossing adventure tomorrow when it comes. Thanks so much for the cool tips ❤
So freakin helpful!!! I just started playing in 2023… greatly appreciated. I love playing the game and these tips make the experience even more enjoyable.
You’re welcome!!
Great video. I started and stopped the game a couple years ago and had forgotten so much. This was a great reminder!
This video was so helpful and easy to watch! Thank you for all the tips and tricks :) I'm excited to start using them and to design my island
You’re welcome! I’m glad it helped you:)
This is extremely helpful I just saw it but Omgee the amount of bells I’m going to be making now thanks to you and I’m just starting out is freaking phenomenal thank you.! Please keep the videos coming.!
Thank you, I’m happy this helped you!
Your voice is so CALMING!
Thank you!
Loved your video....I'm always learning new things. The comments below brought up others I thought about while watching yours. I'm at the designing phase. I didn't know where to begin in moving my houses.
I’m happy the tips helped you:)
Very good video but here’s some expansions on the things that might clear things up for new players.
- in spring when you hit bamboo, you can get young spring bamboo instead of normal bamboo to craft seasonal items
- if you shake a tree you may also find a item inside of the tree (one spawns per day) and ornaments inside of decorated ceder trees in winter. Bells also can fall from theme
- you can use a toilet in the game to remove the fruit/food buff
- eating cooked or purchased food will give 5 spaces of food buff instead of one. Eating turnips will fill all 10, which is fast for wildlife removal.
- if you break a rock, it will respawn the next day, yes, but it will be in a different, randomized location (this can be manipulated)
- each day one rock on your island is filled with money instead of rocks
- there is one diy recipe bottle on your beaches every single day, not including your secret beach. Your friends can take it from your island so make sure to collect it before having others over
- you can wait for lief to come to your island for the vegetables and shrubs, but you can also have him set up a shop at Harv’s island where you will be able to buy from him all week long (he will still continue to visit your island, unlike Mabel)
- bugs are very good for making money, but keep in mind that old videos about emptying a nook mile island and farming tarantulas has been patched and no longer works. Look for more recent farming methods.
hope this helps if you were confused why something might be happening in game ^^
Thank you:)
Great addition. I would like to add if have enough trees you get 2 items per day, 5 wasps per day and a bunch of bells (have not counted the bells).
@@carmiiie. ofc! Great video!
Thank you! I recently just got animal crossing and got Horribly addicted so all of it was super educational!
I’m happy this helped you out:)
THIS WAS SO HELPFUL i’ve had the game for a year and these will help me so much!!
I’m glad this helped you!!
Just started playing animal crossing seriously. I’ve had the game since it came out but I’ve never really been that interested in playing it. I’m not binge watching videos about it while playing the game 😂
You’re content is so peaceful but also so helpful! Thank you so much for these tips! Definitely subscribing!!💖
Thank you so much!!
I got it today and only have 3 hours on the game so far but seeing how gorgeously decorated your island is makes me want to play more 😭
Your voice is so calming and these tips are awesome! i was thinking about starting over and this is very useful! subscribed!
Thank you!!
Thanks for the tips! I didn’t know there was a limit on inclines and bridges.
You’re welcome!
Your video has waay better information for a new person then a lot of the ones I've watched. Thank you!
Thank you so much for saying that!! And you are very welcome:)
You can also get crops occasionally from Kapp'n Islands
I just started in the game, great tips
thank you !! i hope you have fun with it
You know when your terraforming and you get that annoying corner? Break the one to the left of it and it deletes it too!
I love that they added the vines and permanent ladders. I barely use all my inclines now!
Me too!!
Just found your video today, these tips are so helpful. I just started my island not too long ago, I’m so excited to play the game again and I’m taking the game slowly before thinking about designing and when I do I’ll be sure to use these tips^^
Thanks! I’m glad this video helped you!!
Your voice is so comforting 🥹🤎
Your outfit and island are so precious! ♥
thanks!!
The real big brain move is making a video like this and getting hundreds of more tips for ACNH in the comments.
Haha everyone is so helpful:)
For max resources from rocks:
Dig three hole one space behind the rock, place yourself in the middle and hit the rock as fast as possible and see to it, that the nine tiles around the rock are free from other rocks, twigs or holes when you start hitting it.
Once you hit it the first time an invisible timer starts and once that timer expires you can’t get any more rocks. (Or money)

Thank you for making this video!! I'm just abt to start Animal Crossing and these tips will surely help me alot, keep up the great work
For the rock hitting, make sure all 8 squares adjacent to the rock are clear for maximum reward. And hitting with shovel is slightly faster than axe, so gives you a chance at all 8 rewards.
For hitting rocks you can make two holes on the diagonal and get all the resources
thanks a lot for making this vid! sending this to my partner so they feel more confident starting an island
You’re welcome!! Send them my best wishes for their island as well:)
thanks for all of the tips. i just started playing today and having good time so far!
Thank you so much for this video. I'm so new to this game. This really helps me.
You are very welcome!!
Thanks for this video, I am a newbie and have just started playing today. 😇
You’re welcome and have fun:)
First off THANK YOU! OMG love you for putting the dimensions for all the buildings, I'm no beginner but I never took the time, and thank you for putting them all together and one nice screenshot 😁👏
Also I love that gown you're wearing!
Thank you so so much!! I’m glad you learned something new:) Stunting trees will do so much for the look of your island in the end.
Ahhh
Thank you so much:)
Thank you Carmen! This video was very helpful, I would very much love a part 2 to this!
Thanks again for this very helpful video 😊
And thank you!!
@@carmiiie. thanks so much, This was very helpful!
I always eat my native fruit when I want to dig up a tree or rock… cos all other fruit is worth more bells when sold.
(Sorry for so many comments!)
No no you are being so helpful!!
Thank you so much:)
Just keep your net equipped and shake all trees from in front, then when wasps fall out, press A as soon as you can and you will always catch them.
Wonderful video thank you! Just started playing a little over a week ago ❤️
And thank you!
I love the design of your Island.
Thank you so much!!
I remember when I first played I had no clue you could catch wasps. It was a very hard time 😅
Haha same
About to get a switch and play this game, thank you for this 🤠
You’re welcome!
Great video! Many different tips in different areas.
Thank you!
it says in the book that every time you hit rocks there is a 10 second silent timer that goes off. you have to hit the rock as many times as possible in 10 seconds, which is eight times.
this will give you eight resources from each rock per day. the way to do this is to dig three holes behind you or plant three items behind youso your character won’t move around as much
Your voice is so soft 🥺💜
Awe, thank you
I subscribed a couple das ago your voice is so Nice and calm
