I'm really sorry, but there was quite a lot of mistakes in your video :( I want to start by saying that english isn't my first language and that I have chronique fatigue, I probably made mistakes. The rare bugs you mentioned can be found in the southern hemisphere in January and February while the northern hemisphere gets them in July and August, so just 2 months a year. Scorpion islands are also a thing, they look different than tarantula islands but with the same results and you can find them when tarantulas are gone. There is also "fin island", an island where you can only find sharks that is also very rare. I didn't even get to the third thing, I was raging after he said how to get five stars (which is false) and that you can only make golden roses with the watering can (also false)
To be honest I got these flowers when my island in worst shape, everything was outside the home storage.. not to mention the huge amount of flowers here and there 🦦🦦
The requirements for a 5 star island are wrong, you definitely don't need to place fences around every building (and pretty sure you don't have to breed flowers for it either). didn't do those for my 5 star island and online sources list different requirements as well
I've got 5 stars for a few weeks now only about a quarter of my island is properly decorated. The rest is just trees and flowers maybe a couple furniture items each map square or two lol
@@unpaidduo Hey there, what i'd reccommend you to do is go to isabelle in the resident services building, and ask about your island rating. There she will state the rating, and after that give you a hint at what you could do to improve your island. For example, she might tell you that there aren't enough trees or furniture, so go ahead and place more of those (and for furniture you'll have to place A LOT). Now you need to do that as long as she's telling you the same thing you have to do (when you ask for your island rating). Then finally, when you have enough, she will now tell you a new thing you need to do, once you've done that enough again, she will tell you about another thing and so on, until eventually you reach 5 stars and she won't have anything for you to do anymore. (NOTE: the same task may return later in future, it doesn't mean that it didn't work, but probably that you need more at that point for a further rating) That's at least what worked best for me. Also as far as i know, placing lots of expensive furniture (doesn't have to placed in a certain good looking way, you can just put it anywhere) and building bridges/inclines and things like the upgraded shop help a lot with reaching a better star rating. Good luck!
@•ᴄᴀʟɪᴄᴏ ᴄᴏᴏᴋɪᴇ• just be patient and keep putting decorations outside. Little things add up, and that's what this game is all about: doing little chores daily and making your neighborhood a bit better. Plant lot of flowers. Try to make little yards using gates. Plant lots of trees, especially non-native fruits (but not too much, I think 200+ is considered too many). Keep the weeds under control. Make sure the villagers have bridges to get to each others houses. Buy plots of land so 10 villagers can move in (having the more villagers contributes to the score). Most of the suggestions I gave are guidelines though, there isn't a list of requirements unfortunately (though there is a list of things that will automatically hold your rating back: like weeds, too many trees, litter, etc.) Good luck though friendo, I hope you get those 2 extra stars! (for the record it took me 8 months of playing to get the perfect score, so don't think you're not doing it right if it takes a while).
For the Gulliver thing, sometimes you can get a rare character called something like "Gullivarrr" hes the pirate version of Gulliver, instead of digging for parts you have to swim for them
I got Tarantula Island while Villager hunting with my mom. Didn't even realize where we were until, while my mom was talking to Tia the elephant (Yes we got her) I noticed a tarantula, and told her not to move. We then spent about 2 hours catching tarantulas. She was jumpscared so many times by them, I got smacked in a face by mistake XD
A better way to catch scorpions and tarantulas is hold A with the net equipped. With this, you can slowly walk. Once the bug takes notice to you and defends itself, stop walking (keep holding A down!). One you’re close enough, release A and catch it!
for Celeste, if its your first time seeing her during that Zodiac time you will always get the Zodiac recipe first anytime after that in the same Zodiac time period you will get a random recipe from the other series that isn't a Zodiac one
Just a quick note:the great white shark is just like the whale shark (or any normal fish),you have a chance of finding it around your beaches. The great white isnt found specifically on the peir, just on the beach.
Surprised framed photos weren't on this list. The average framed photo goes for around 100 NMT. It took me 2 months of playing without time travel to get mine for all 10 villagers.
I finally got one after half a year of wooing Audie and talking to her every single day. Finally I got fed up and went on the charm offensive and bought some expensive furniture that I didn't think would ruin her room and gave her a piece every day. (I dunno if wrapping makes a difference but I did anyway). I got the portrait after like four gifts/days. I'm currently trying that all over from scratch with another villager who just moved in to see how long it'll actually take (and how many bells it'll cost ;;;; )
@@arthas7 The antique series seems to get their friendship up pretty quick and it all tends to look fine in most houses. The way the houses are set up, I think it's like HHD or the happy home tests in pocket camp where they have one spot for a chair, one for a table, one for a dresser etc. So you can give them the same piece of furniture (i.e. the antique table) multiple times and there won't be multiple tables in their house. I've given Marina like ten antique chairs so far and she still only has one set out. That said, if you want to preserve their original homes, one other thing you can do is take a screenshot of their house and then, after you get the picture, start giving them the furniture they originally had. Of course, that's assuming you had the stuff in your catalog. Anyway, this is pretty much how I did it. I actually got another photo doing this since my original post, so it definitely does work, on some level.
Nice video but there were so many inaccurate things listed that I couldn’t finish watching it. Sorry dude. I highly recommend playing the game or even talking to people who play the game before you create videos like this. People will most likely come here for factual advice/statements, so to spread misinformation like you have done is just, weird.
this guy just likes to make clickbait videos. i guess it works cause i always click them, but i agree there are so many inaccuracies. Including that the prices listed on nookazon no one really pays that price for stuff. and the prices shown with the gold leaf crown and wreath are probably for the diys not for the actual item themselves
They are just a process of breeding roses in the right sequence. It is nuts and time consuming but you will definitely eventually end up with a blue rose. Then you just have to water and watch them multiply
This game is probably one of my favorite games of all time. It got me through quarantine, and even though I had massive burn out a lot of the time, I still played through it.
Good advice, but there is an easier way to get a tarantula or scorpion every time. Just hold your net at the ready and approach slowly. They'll turn towards you and tense up, so just stop moving when they shake, and you'll catch them without aggroing them.
9:53 that statue is the King Kamehameha statue. He was thr first king to unify all the islands of Hawaii. That's super neat that they included that! Thanks for sharing :)
I didn't have to breed every danged flower either for my five star island or decorate it to death. My island still has a very laid-back, open, and natural feel with plenty of room to move around and be with nature. I only have a few token items on the back cliffs. It's still five stars.
I know. I watch these videos to see what he has to say. But sometimes I'm looking at it thinking this seems like so much for a game that's always been so simple to achieve the goal outcomes.
@@kameronhowell3324 If you don't mind an island that has a terrible layout (I didn't understand natural layouts when I picked it way back then) and the fact I have absolutely no sense of cohesion in "decorating", then yes. Facts. Sturgeons are literally the easiest fish to catch. I can literally catch like 16 per day. You can tell if its a sturgeon too in months like November when the only 6 size river fish are sturgeons.
It takes a quick search on the Animal Crossing wiki to know most of these are wrong. You are spreading misinformation, you clearly worked hard on this video so why didn't you fact check yourself b4 you posted it? It's kind of embarrassing :/
@@chestypants78 -having to build fences around everything to get Lily of the valley -having to have your island 5 stars before you can get gold roses. A friend with gold watering can or having one from trade/whatever can still get you -the one about the expensive stag bugs wasn’t wrong per say, but they can only be caught during the late summer months of whatever hemisphere you’re in (July/august for northern and January/February for southern) -the great white shark is not exclusive to being caught on the pier, it can be caught anywhere in the ocean -gulliver does not send random items, it’s always a monument that cannot be purchased from your catalog -on the gulliver note, he won’t ever give you the robot hero (as the recipe can only be purchased with nook miles), but you do need the rusted parts you find when he’s on your beach in order to craft the robot hero -Celeste recipes are not completely random. When it’s a new zodiac sign (20th/21st of every month), she’ll give you the recipe for that sign if you don’t have it already. After that, what she gives you is random -while it’s wasnt one of the points made, as for “rarity” of some of the items referenced from nookazon, that doesn’t equally correlate to rarity in-game. Some extremely inexpensive, easy to find items are going for a lot of bells, and the reverse is also true for some more expensive items. Nookazon prices are largely trend-based, and what’s “rare and expensive” one week could be *essentially* worthless in a few weeks. The mermaid DIYSs are a good example; they were originally going for millions of bells when the diving update came out, but within a few weeks, the demand went down and people offered/asked for/paid considerably less.

Fun fact: I think that a villager (if u got the new HHP DLC-) wants a Christmas themed vacation home- and your able to buy both the furniture, wallpaper, flooring, etc, if your can use it in designs. So- it is pretty easy if u come across that villager and make her(?) a vacation home. Soooo, it’s kinda easy if u design her(?) house. Im not 100% sure, but I think so?
Overall nice video but filled to the brim with inaccuracies. One I haven’t seen mentioned was what you said about art, since looking for inaccuracies was true in previous games as well and was just as hard, if not harder in certain cases.
You don't have to fence every building to have a 5 star rating. Each fencing piece you have does add to your score. You also need a certain number of flowers and less than 30 items of "trash" (dropped items or weeds - even if it's a dropped item on a table) To grow the lily of the valley you need 8-10 villagers, upgraded shops, a certain number of flowers and trees, and have decorated your island (which includes fences) Fencing every building is not what gives you the rating
yeah it's not the case for everyone but usually the people who got tired of it are not old animal crossing fans and are new to the series, which is perfectly fine because the game is not for everyone and it's hard to keep up with at times
I saw the south pole up there, and was instantly like; “holy shit, i got a rare item.” Kinda neat to find out that i got a landmark, but i honestly dont use it
There's a much easier way to capture spiders/scorpions. Creep on them until they raise their guard. Wait. They'll lower their guard. Keep creeping then waiting for them to lower guard. Eventually you're close enough to net them. It's pretty easy
You can also catch tarantulas by playing red light green light with them. Red light (or stop moving) when they are in attack form. When they go back to normal mode (green light), creep with your net at ready to swing and start moving towards it until you get close enough to swing. I wish I could credit the TH-camr I got this info from. I dont remember who posted it but they saved my sanity
I just got my mum playing and Gulliver visited her island on the 2nd day. I had to show her how to find the parts and now she has Stonehenge before her museum is even open. lol
I've seen so many turoials about catching the scorpions and people make their lives hard for no reason. Maybe it's a new feature as I've just started playing in November 21 after the update, but all you have to do is slowly approach the bug until goes into attack stance. Wait a few seconds and it will calm down. Move forward a few steps until it goes in the attack stance again. Wait until it calms down, then move a little closer. Eventually you will get close enough to catch it like a regular bug. No need to dig all those holes.
The golden water can thing is kind of wrong and right at the same time. I bred my black roses to golden roses around 5-6 times then stopped watering them with the golden can. After that, whenever it rained on my island it started growing golden roses. Now I have 11 golden roses instead of 7.
The string fish model is the most expensive because the string fish is arguably the rarest fish in the game due to the small time frame of it spawning, only spawning on clifftop rivers and having a low spawn rate, meaning catching 3 of them is more difficult than getting 3 celicanths and great white sharks
I dunno why people see tarantulas and scorpions as difficult… they get ready to attack, stay still, they calm, you continue forward and repeat until your close!
you can sneak up on tarantulas, scorpions and quick sea life to make life easier:) sneak and wait until theyre out of attack mode or swim slowly until right above
with timeskipping and much fish bait, you can complete all the fish in a few months! the only one that is left on my list is the SUPER DUPER INCREDIPLY RARE stringfish and I've been playing acnh for like 3 months
Another easier way to catch scorpions and tarantulas is to keep holding down the A button and stopping whenever they turn around and hiss. Basically you need to play Red Light Green Light.
"The most expensive and rarest Item in the game is the Royal Crown" We actually found the Royal crown in our town's Able sisters' about a month after the shop opened. Which is crazy, now that I think about it.
About #1. A cool fact is that you can get the lily of the valley to grow even if you have a 4-star island. How? Well, if you BASICALLY have a 5-star island because Isabelle tells you that the only thing wrong is that there are too many items on the ground, and you don't pick them up, the Lily of the Valley can still grow. I know this from personal excperience. I have a messy island :)
for some reason 3:09 is funny to me "it's a scorpion, what shall i do?" "i know, i should let it sting my butt by turning around, that'll save me- *faints*-
I went on an island tour with my friend and a couple other random people and me and my friend dressed up as fancy people. At the end of the tour, we had a little party and one of the people gave my friend a golden watering can but my friend wouldn’t accept and there was a whole argument and I had enough so I just took it and said “BYEEEEEEEEE”
My game of the year honestly and this is my first AC game too. Here's my opinion of each. 15. I think the Blue Rose should have been mentioned since it's the hardest flower to breed. I was able to breed every other flower, but with so many methods out there to breed blue roses, I ended up getting a few from someone who had them. 14. You forgot the Scarab insect. Other then the Golden Stag, that one only appeared ONCE on my island and I got lucky because I thought it was another bug. 13. Once I learned the method to catching these guys, it's pretty easy to catch them, same for hornets. The method you mention is awesome, but it brings too much anxiety for me, so I do the slow method. I think you should have mentioned that if you don't have a net out, these guys run FROM you and I take full advantage of that, especially on Money Rock 2 island and more recently Tarantula island. I basically 'hurd' these guys where I want them, then bring out my net. You move slowly and stop when they rear up and move again slowly as you get closer before you're just close enough to nab them. 12. Yeah those suckers are fast! I do corral them into a corner. 11. Uh, the Great White can be found in the sea in general (you showed footage of exactly that happening). But yes there are fish which you can only catch on the pier, like the Marlin. 10. I don't think Nookazon should count since prices vary here. I wouldn't consider statues to be rare either since both CJ and Flick appear on your island once a month at least (or more if you're lucky). 9. Yeah, I am still trying to get a white piano bench. have all the other colors, but not that one. So yeah furniture can be luck based. 8. Well, for the net and fishing rod, you're mostly right, but it's only taken me 8 months to get all the fish and insects because of the seasons. I've yet to get the golden shovel. I think you should have mentioned that you have to help the regular Gulliver too, NOT the pirate one. The golden watering can isn't the rarest though. It only took me 2 months to get a 5 star island. I would say the shovel is the rarest to get since regular Gulliver only shows up occasionally. Net and fishing pole are up there too. But the watering can, sling shot, and the ax are the easiest ones to get, at least they were for me. 7. Um, I think you phrased the Robot Hero wrong, at least on how you obtain it. The robot itself is a DIY you can get from that Nookmiles machine in Residence services. However, you do need rusted parts from both regular and pirate Gulliver to create this robot, and that does take awhile. 6. I am noticing another flaw about this video CC, you mention dates, but they're only the North Hemisphere dates. It's different in the Southern Hemisphere. And while I would agree that the rarest season event is cherry blossom, it's not the only 10 day one. You're forgetting the Maple Leaf one too. 5. This why it helps to join a Discord channel, you can actually make wishes on other people's island and there's a possibility Celeste is there (if someone announces it). I recently got all of the regular Celeste DIYs. All I need left are the Aquarius and Pisces DIY. 4. What's even worse sometimes is if ALL of Redd's art pieces are fake or if you have the real ones he's selling. So yeah it's been a very slow go filling out my Art Museum. 3. Seeing how this video was made before winter in the Northern Hemisphere, I feel it shouldn't be listed because much like the Summer Months, getting the regular frozen items is easy, but yes the Festive gear is harder to get since you can only find those DIY in balloons. 2. Uhhh that's not rare at all. Plus prices vary, what could be over 2.5 million bells may change later. 1. Yeah I did buy that bad boy recently.
If you just creep up on a tarantula or scorpion and stop moving once it threat poses, it’ll stop moving; then you creep again, stop, creep, stop - and eventually you get closer. You don’t need to do all those holes and all that effort. But super informative video!

(NOTE: the same task may return later in future, it doesn't mean that it didn't work, but probably that you need more at that point for a further rating)
That's at least what worked best for me.
Most of the suggestions I gave are guidelines though, there isn't a list of requirements unfortunately (though there is a list of things that will automatically hold your rating back: like weeds, too many trees, litter, etc.)
Good luck though friendo, I hope you get those 2 extra stars! (for the record it took me 8 months of playing to get the perfect score, so don't think you're not doing it right if it takes a while).
yeah and i only have 9 villagers
I finally caught every bug and fish in the game as well as collecting all the fossils, i can now die in peace
For the Gulliver thing, sometimes you can get a rare character called something like "Gullivarrr" hes the pirate version of Gulliver, instead of digging for parts you have to swim for them
@@angelcat1439 same he’s so annoyingly common for me

I always just run full speed at them (holding down b i think, to run fast) and catch them every time.
for Celeste, if its your first time seeing her during that Zodiac time you will always get the Zodiac recipe first anytime after that in the same Zodiac time period you will get a random recipe from the other series that isn't a Zodiac one
I played for 4 months and only got 5. But I don’t play everyday now
I finally got one after half a year of wooing Audie and talking to her every single day.
@@Prodmullefc which expensive feature doesn't mess up their home? Please share
@@Prodmullefc thank you, will try this
Nice video but there were so many inaccurate things listed that I couldn’t finish watching it.

“Nook’s Corner”
Lol what?
Good advice, but there is an easier way to get a tarantula or scorpion every time. Just hold your net at the ready and approach slowly. They'll turn towards you and tense up, so just stop moving when they shake, and you'll catch them without aggroing them.
to many Ad’s :you get me😲😂
I’d say the actual most rare items are the Sanrio posters from scanning those Amiibo Cards in Harv’s Island.
9:53 that statue is the King Kamehameha statue. He was thr first king to unify all the islands of Hawaii. That's super neat that they included that! Thanks for sharing :)
If you stop when the scorpion 🦂 goes into "attack" mode, it'll calm down. Easier than luring it to a hole trap.
*me who accidentally went to tarantula island twice in a row*
I didn't have to breed every danged flower either for my five star island or decorate it to death. My island still has a very laid-back, open, and natural feel with plenty of room to move around and be with nature. I only have a few token items on the back cliffs. It's still five stars.
I know. I watch these videos to see what he has to say. But sometimes I'm looking at it thinking this seems like so much for a game that's always been so simple to achieve the goal outcomes.
I know this comment is old, but do you have a dream address? Every five star island I go to is so crowded I can’t even walk around 😭

What ones are wrong?
@@chestypants78
-having to build fences around everything to get Lily of the valley
-having to have your island 5 stars before you can get gold roses. A friend with gold watering can or having one from trade/whatever can still get you
-the one about the expensive stag bugs wasn’t wrong per say, but they can only be caught during the late summer months of whatever hemisphere you’re in (July/august for northern and January/February for southern)
-the great white shark is not exclusive to being caught on the pier, it can be caught anywhere in the ocean
-gulliver does not send random items, it’s always a monument that cannot be purchased from your catalog
-on the gulliver note, he won’t ever give you the robot hero (as the recipe can only be purchased with nook miles), but you do need the rusted parts you find when he’s on your beach in order to craft the robot hero
-Celeste recipes are not completely random. When it’s a new zodiac sign (20th/21st of every month), she’ll give you the recipe for that sign if you don’t have it already. After that, what she gives you is random
-while it’s wasnt one of the points made, as for “rarity” of some of the items referenced from nookazon, that doesn’t equally correlate to rarity in-game.

Bat winged Valiant statue was dope tho
You don't have to fence every building to have a 5 star rating. Each fencing piece you have does add to your score. You also need a certain number of flowers and less than 30 items of "trash" (dropped items or weeds - even if it's a dropped item on a table)
To grow the lily of the valley you need 8-10 villagers, upgraded shops, a certain number of flowers and trees, and have decorated your island (which includes fences)
Fencing every building is not what gives you the rating
This game was fun for the first few weeks, but then it became like homework. I noticed so much I could do that I just didn’t do any of them
yeah it's not the case for everyone but usually the people who got tired of it are not old animal crossing fans and are new to the series, which is perfectly fine because the game is not for everyone and it's hard to keep up with at times
I feel the same but that’s because I am comparing my success to other beautiful islands. Now I’m trying to not do that, I’m enjoying the game again.
Only just realised the value of my Statue of Liberty! Didn’t realise t was rare at all! Only gift gulliver has ever given me !! 🗽
I’ve gotten 3 landmarks already. They were like the first things I got from gulivar. I have Stonehenge. The head and the leaning tower of Pisa
Bro I just realized the Stonehenge is rare. It was the first ever gift I got from Gulliver
I just got my mum playing and Gulliver visited her island on the 2nd day. I had to show her how to find the parts and now she has Stonehenge before her museum is even open. lol

Him: five star can only be achieved via maximum design.
Me: clearly not
Also big clam super easy to get. Just exist at day you’ll get it eventually
Big boi white shark is not pier exclusive. In fact it’s same chance as non pier
I got 5 stars in the first 2 months of the game, no you don't need fences nor hybrids of every flower, cause I didn't
I dunno why people see tarantulas and scorpions as difficult… they get ready to attack, stay still, they calm, you continue forward and repeat until your close!
I helped the bird guy with his communicator parts for the first time like yesterday and got a stone henge. Is it rare?
you can sneak up on tarantulas, scorpions and quick sea life to make life easier:) sneak and wait until theyre out of attack mode or swim slowly until right above

My happiness
I'm 2 minutes in, and I can't take it anymore. Everything you're saying is just so... Not correct at all.
Great calling out. I wish the guy would have seen this, he prolly would have taken the video down if he had. So many inaccuracies.
The irony of tarantulas and scorpions not being insects, thus not being technically the same as the other bugs.
If you just creep up on a tarantula or scorpion and stop moving once it threat poses, it’ll stop moving; then you creep again, stop, creep, stop - and eventually you get closer. You don’t need to do all those holes and all that effort. But super informative video!
