Marci, you did a great job! And Freya's giggle is so infectious--always makes me smile. Hope you have more chances to speak to the public about your experiences. ❤😁
Great presentation marci, I hope you get to do more like them. Frays looked like she loved her biscoff biscuit ❤ also enjoyed the tempo of Chris patting Freya’s back 😂
Marci- you did absolutely incredible! You're a natural public speaker. This really made me tear up because that's exactly the experience with our autistic daughter! I always leave appointments so depressed. She's made so much progress but all they want to do is compare her to neurotypical children🤦♀️
You did a wonderful job and I’m sure those nurses left there knowing more than they did before hearing you speak. Freya had the giggles and it’s so cute 🥰
My kids are so tech savvy. When my son was little he wrote, created, his own computer game for his little sister. The characters were her and all her little friends. I still don't know where he learned that. Then, we lived next to my mom, and bought her a new tv. She was trying to set up the tv, and he did it. He said she needed a wire and he had an extra in his room, running home to get it. He was in the 2nd grade. We were stunned, how he knew how to do it and why he had extra wires in his room. Years later we were sending him to college for computer programming and video game creation. If Liam has interest and natural talent, who knows where that will lead!
You did amazing Marci! It has to feel good to share your knowledge with nurses who one day will remember your words and have a better day because of you. You're a natural speaker! And Freya getting the giggles with Chris was adorable!! He always finds those giggles. You are truly making a difference in teaching us all about CDLS and your sweet Freya!! Much love ❤
I love Freya's giggle, so cute! I'm so proud of you Marcie for presenting to nursing students!! You did a fabulous job and it showed. You're so proud of Freya and of course the rest of the kids! You are very smart and beautiful. Shout out to Liam for helping you, smarty-pants! I'm jealous cuz I'm NOT tech savvy. Enjoy the rest of your day!! xo
You done an amazing job speaking Marci! I love seeing this. Hopefully even more people will see your videos and learn more about this syndrome (and all disabilities) so they can not only be more skilled but have the compassion that is so needed when you have a child with a disability! Having a daughter with Autism, I can understand so much of what you go through! Even though they are two completely different disabilities people need to be educated. Instead of the staring and whispering when out in public, I would much rather someone ask me about it so I can explain. Great job!!!! Makes my heart happy!❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤
Enjoyed your presentation greatly & I really appreciate how you've taught us all anout CdLS. Freya is amazing as are all of your kids. I love how sweet they are to each other. Hope you are feeling better!
I am very impressed with your public speaking. I totally understand your frustration regarding ticking the box. Why can't parents say, this is what my child CAN do, instead of 'can they do this?' I think Freya is beautiful and she is loved. That giggle makes me giggle. 😘👍🙏🏼
You did an amazing job, Marci, and I believe it is an important message. The computer program Liam helped you with was so well done! I’m in love with your family. You all play a huge part in making Freya’s life meaningful and fun!
Fantastic Marci! You're a great public speaker! You should do it more often! OK, can I talk about Freya's giggle? LOVE IT!! Way to set up the slide show Liam! Love you guys! ❤❤❤❤❤
Marci you are an excellent public speaker!!! That is a very difficult task! ❤ Freya’s laugh at the samples in Costco with Dad was too cute! 🩷 As someone with a Special Educator background, I understand your disappointment with rating scales…..I always tried to point out my student’s strengths, progress, and milestones-no matter how small, because I can’t imagine sitting there and hearing all of the things your child is not able to do. I was always very aware of that when meeting with parents/families of my students! ❤
Great job Marci, I hope you find more opportunities to share Frey`s story! You are a natural at speaking and sharing to make a difference,. Another gift Freya has brought to your livess. Her giggle and bond with her daddy is precious!!❤
Great Job Marci, then again I didn’t doubt you! This kind of thing needs to be done more often. I really hope the interactive pad is working well but slowly as it’s early days for Freya. Such a sweetheart in every way.
Hi Marci! I was wondering how you guys were doing?! I can't believe you have strep throat! 😱😱😱 Thank God you went! It can be dangerous left untreated! ( : What an honor to get to talk to the nursing students! You will be amazing! ( : You look and sounded great! ( : Soo impressed! ( : Your talk was amazing! I loved watching you you there, Marci! I know they were impressed, as much as they learned so much from what you taught them this day! I hope this opens many doors for you to spread awareness about CDLS and kids/families with disabilities! I was sooo impressed myself, but I always am with your intelligence, beauty, and passion/caring about your family and spreading awareness about Freya and her condition! ( : Definitely see you next time! ( : Love watching, learning, and spending time with you, Freya, and all your beautiful family! ( : ❤️❤️❤️
Marci, you’re a wonderful speaker, advocate!! Maybe write a book down the road too! You’re a great mom, a great wife, a great role model. Thank you for sharing your life and all 4 beautiful children with us! ❤️
I absolutely LOVE that you did this!!!! As a nurse, now nurse practitioner, I think it is so great to put real life in front of these students. Most are young and inexperienced and quite honestly, terrified to death. Your willingness to share your real life situation will make such a difference in their empathy levels and how they approach and care for patients AND families. I could not love this more!! I hope to see you guys do more of this in the future!!!
Hi Marci, I don’t usually comment but you were just fantastic & I so pleased you could educate the upcoming nurses in such a wonderful & practical way, just need to educate the young doctors now! Well done 👏🏻 xx
I totally hear ya! you did great! I have Cerebral Palsy and 30years ago very little was known. my doctors gave my mom a completely opposite outlook than I had because of my combonation of disabilities. so most of what she learned was from nurses & researching herself. good for you! and I hear ya about them not covering every expense & only having medicaide
What a great video and very informative. I had the opportunity to give a lecture years ago about my Cdls child at Amos Cottage Winston Salem, NC, a part of the early childhood development program through Wake Forest Hospital. Marci, you are very blessed to have a great family. I hope you are feeling better. Love Margaret
You did great! Hopefully what you shared will really help those future nurses with awesome patient care! Good patient care seems to be a thing of the past unfortunately, but I think you planted a seed today. As always, Freya is the cutest little one ever! ♥️♥️♥️❤️❤️❤️
Great job with the presentation ! I love that your friend asked you to come and speak. That will definitely help those coming into the medical field. Freya gets happy about yummy free samples too. I love her giggles so much. Those are good cookies. How is Jessie doing now? Did the surgery fix it? How has Freya been?
There is a lady in Dundee, Scotland who has twin boys who both have Down’s syndrome. She talks to many groups of medical professionals in the area and like you, finds it “enjoyable “ to be able to inform them of what it is like to have a child with a disability.
My aunt had down syndrome. Everyone doubted her intelligence cause of it but give her any wrestling game and she will figure out how to beat you at it every time 😂
i posted toy for freya i thought she would like. I am not a troll. I trully enjoy watching your channel and your family is one to be admired. I don't see this post, i hope you don't think i'm a bad person.... just want to help out.. Thanks
You were brilliant Marcie. Congratulations on helping carers to think outside the regular model. 👏👏👏
Marci, you did a great job! And Freya's giggle is so infectious--always makes me smile. Hope you have more chances to speak to the public about your experiences. ❤😁
So cool what you do advocating not only for Freya but also for other people in similar situations ❤
Great presentation marci, I hope you get to do more like them. Frays looked like she loved her biscoff biscuit ❤ also enjoyed the tempo of Chris patting Freya’s back 😂

I’m sorry it is awful. Why do we try to put kids in the same box. No kid fits in it.
Love seeing if things make a difference at medical visits.
You did a wonderful job and I’m sure those nurses left there knowing more than they did before hearing you speak. Freya had the giggles and it’s so cute 🥰
Great job Marci! You should consider being a teacher. And the pictures of Freya in the slide show, so adorable 💜
Freya has the cutest giggle 😊❤
I absolutely love her little giggle/laugh. She is so cute.

😂 that reminds me of Liam. He does computer camp every summer and is able to take game development in wchool
You're a great advocate for Freya.
Learned some new things from your presentation. Can’t believe she tested negative for CDLS 2ce. Great advice for nurses. Amazing talk🔥

She sure loves her daddy
You were a natural teacher and lecturer! You did great Freya and Marcie.
Wonderful job. Freya was so cute. I loved her messing with the chair.❤❤❤❤
She loves spinning the chairs

Great job with being a guest speaker. It is great that you are sharing your life about Freya. ❤
Marci you nailed it. I think you should do more talks to medical professionals.❤❤❤❤❤
I would love to
How wonderful, Marci!!! Liam is SO awesome too!
He is amazing

Great job 👏🏼 You are a great mom with a beautiful family ❤
Enjoyed your presentation greatly & I really appreciate how you've taught us all anout CdLS. Freya is amazing as are all of your kids. I love how sweet they are to each other. Hope you are feeling better!
As a nurse your insight is invaluable. To be able to help this class better care for their patients is so exciting. Good deal.

Marci you were awesome. Didn't sound nervous at all. Bravo to you n this group for asking you to speak. 😊
Great job, Marci. It is so sad that Utah does not have a better system for services. Liam, awesome job with the slides.
Great job! 💜🌻
She makes my day when she laughs
Fantastic Marci! You're a great public speaker! You should do it more often! OK, can I talk about Freya's giggle? LOVE IT!! Way to set up the slide show Liam! Love you guys! ❤❤❤❤❤

I’m so happy you focused on what they can do. We hear far too often what they can’t.
Great job, Marci!

Yes! I need to do an update but Jesse says it does feel a lot better so I do think that was the issue
Fantastic job Marci xx

Good morning
Can I share this?
Yes please

I know that nursing teachers are in great demand. Do you have a degree in teaching?
I don’t.
