Did you try the rubber brush to see if it goes down deeper in to the carpet because it looks like the bristle brush loosens the top of the carpet hairs really good.
It’s always a good idea with any carpet cleaner to rinse the solution out of the carpet by running the machine with hot water (and in some situations an acidic agent like vinegar water to ph balance the alkaline cleaners). I also love that you sprayed the solution and then turned off the machine so you let it dwell and have time to agitate. What I’ve started to do is to spray my carpet with one of those pump sprayers with my solution (the solution varies depending on the situation) and then I run the machine with just hot water for extraction. Sometimes I’ll do two passes in a situation where I put the solution in the carpet cleaner and then go over it again with water but 99% of the time that’s not necessary.
That’s a good idea with the pump and then hot water. Hot water helps. But it’s usually not all that necessary. Just the water coming out of the machine will work. But if the stain is really stubborn, hot water can definitely help. Thanks for sharing!
@@DillonCleans no problem! That’s more for rinsing after the stain is removed though. I say hot water but it isn’t very hot- I imagine most people can get much hotter water from their tap than I do. (for context I live in a hot place so my tap cold water is barely cool and it doesn’t take much heat to make it hot so most water heaters are set to about 120 F). Hot water does help with some stains, though it may set certain protein stains such as blood. I mostly use it so the carpet is neutral. If you leave soap in the carpet fibers then the cleaning agents are reactivated every time the carpet is even slightly damp and and then the carpet will trap dirt because of the soap. Rinsing the carpet also helps it to stay feeling soft and prevents the build up of soap residue that can be a disaster over time. Even a professional has difficulty when there’s too much cleaner in the carpet as it causes a lot of foaming.
@@aval5098 you sure do know your stuff!! I wouldn’t expect any average person to know all that, but that is all correct! I personally don’t use hot water because it works just fine for me with cold water, but hot water definitely helps. I’m glad you take the time and learn things before trying it. Hey if you came here to see why your hand sprayer/spot remover is not work, or no suction please read watch the video and then read @asiab8647 comment. If you don't find it, this is her/his comment "I couldn’t get the hose to suction for the life of me.... then I realized your brush attachments were removed, so I removed mine and it worked !!!! So everyone try that if you’re hose isn’t suctioning!"
Thank you!
