I am 21, yet here I am watching a video about a smartwash at roughly 11pm. I love your videos by the way, never did I ever expect videos about vacuums and the like to be *that* interesting, but they're great. Very much information in a little timeframe, straight to the point, easy to follow experiments. Loving it.
So. My wife just bought this machine. We had the small version. Got on sale for 65$. But the motor burning out. Had it for 5yrs. Use it regularly because of pets. She recently bought the one in your review. I will say it's an awesome machine. 👌. Falls apart a little to easily. But. It is soooo much better than previous models. Like the tank for dirty water is completely open. The filter is on tank. The suction rail is easily removed. (To easy, be aggressive it will come apart) but my favorite feature of this machine. The brushes are removable. Just push one way. The brush pops right out. Impressive. Overall. This is almost a professional machine. The suction is impressive. The cleaning is impressive. If you have dirty corners or need extra cleaning. The adapter is completely easy to hook up. (Vacuum hand wand) drawbacks. Honestly for the price and functionality of this machine. There's 0 drawbacks. 160$ for an almost professional carpet cleaning machine that is easily disabled and cleaned. Yeah. Used many "pro" machines. Yes they are stronger. Clean better. But are a nightmare to clean between uses. This is an awesome 4☆ machine in my opinion. There's a few flaws this machine has. If you want to know. It is how it comes apart to easy. Some latches will actually snap off. Can't turn on dry only with machine in upright locked position. I understand why. But still annoying.
So far i love mine. ive been thru so many, different makes and used them until they were in critical conditions. Duck tape helped. But so far this one does the job and simple to use, saves me time.
I'm plenty satisfied with my Powerscrub Elite. I see no reason to pay even more just to be restricted on what I can for (ie: depress the trigger for more water as I desire). I have enjoyed and been so satisfied with my PS Elite that I just purchased my third one, and it will make its inaugural run this morning. I had a Bissell carpet cleaner several years back - no big complaints, I like their formulas- but I'm hooked on my Hoover.
Having been a 2 pet household for almost 30 years, I've owned a few vacuum shampooers. 2 Hoovers and now, A Bissell, based on a review from this channel. Hoover has had premixing for many years and I found it to work well. If you really wanted a stronger solution, you could add more to directly to the tank. That said, leaving soap residue on the carpet is not a good thing to do. Which brings me to my biggest issue with the Bissell machine - it does not allow a pass with water only for rinsing after the wash. Does the new Hoover still allow the user to turn off the soap so the carpet can be rinsed? Sure, this could be accomplished by running it without soap in the soap tank, but it's much easier and less wasteful if the user can simply turn off the soap.
Yeah. The soap tank simply pulls right off for water only. Seriously it literally lifts right off. Super easy. Edit. I meant the soap and water tank pull right off for soap only and water only. No mixing or guessing. But you say you don't want to use so much detergent. Easy fix. When filling detergent container. Add water. Want more detergent? Add it to water tank. Really good machine. Except it can fall apart to easy.
I just bought one spot chaser Hoover deep clean looking forward in doing my carpets never thought I'd say that but it's true lol I just need the energy to do so lol
After watching your videos and now imporving your testing variables... Hoover pet vacuum (which is a new contestant), or Bissell pet vacuum? They both seem great, but hard to compare them from two different videos. GREATLY appreciate your videos. You saved the day! My boyfriend gave me some weird looks when he saw me get all excited over your videos.
Wonder how it compares to the bissell 2x revolution per pro? After my horrible experience with a Hoover spin brush model I will have a hard time buying another Hoover.
A friend of mine borrowed mine and brought it back all gunked up and hairy. (I didn't notice it until I tried using it on my carpet today) I was so pissed! Now it's only putting the water down and not sucking it back up. I spent a couple of hours cleaning it tonight. When I lent it to him, I specifically told him that it's very important to thoroughly vacuum the carpet before using the carpet cleaner! I'll try again tomorrow and see if it works.
I know, I got a powers scrub thinking it was the same thing but the build quality was low and used a lot of water and shampoo. Got a Pro Heat Revolution 2x pet and it's a lot better
Do you recommend this one over the Bissell pro heat? Or is the pro heat still the preferred from the video you did 2 years ago, with the Hoover smartwash (non pet)?
I've had 2 of these not This particular model but both were Hoover smartwash. And both had issues of leaking after a short time of use maybe less than a year. I've even read reviews on Amazon by those who bought such product and a fair amount of people run into the same problem. Sometimes water is dripping down at the bottom where the motors at. Or below the small solution tank. And I noticed that they make them almost impossible to try to service. The ability to be able to maybe replace a hose or just stop a leak or something It looks to be a nightmare that disassemble. They almost seem to be made to be tossaway machines If it doesn't work they have you cut the cord and I'll send you a new one. Their customer service needs a lot of improvement.
hi could you use this machean as a dry vacuum cleaner only I love the purple light saver wand this carpet whasher has its so cool for a carpet cleaner 😄👍❤
Looking for advice on a carpet cleaner primarily for dog accidents and recommended pretreatment spray and shampoo? Had to retire an older Bissell Pro heat 2X select pet unit that stopped spraying... so was leaning more towards trying the Hoover brand this time.
I just bought this from Hoover directly, and so far it has worked super well. I’ve only done a runner and 2 bedrooms, but it’s easy to take apart and clean, plus it made my carpet softer(?) to the touch. I used the solution that came with it at first, but it was a super tiny bottle. I’m using up the rest of my RugDoctor pet solution before moving on to trying the Bissel Max solution. Is it safe to use in the machine? I’ve heard conflicting reports.
Didn't read all the comments but if you want a stronger solution couldn't you just add some cleaner to the water tank? In addition to it mixing with the chemical tank to boost the mix ratio?
great video! when you push forward, do you have to put all your strength into it or does the machine help you? i'm not sure what you call that process but my regular vacuum cleaner is very easy to push forward.
I have the Hoover smart wash pet care complete and it's the lightest weight machine I've ever used. Very easy to push and pull, much easier than other models. It's slim like a regular vacuum. It doesn't get super deep into carpet but many home models rarely do. This model is excellent for rugs.
I've been in the market for a carpet cleaner and now that this Hoover Smart wash is out, I'm debating this or the Bissell Pro Heat 2X. Anyone help me decide?
@@yazmindoesnails I got the Bissell Pro Heat 2X. It works really well, I will say that I'm not crazy about the forward shampoo dispensing and the pull drying BUT it does a great job of cleaning overall
Hi. Which hoover carpet cleaners would you recommend for a thick carpet? Hoover smartwash pet vs Hoover power scrub deluxe, which ones would you recommend?
You should make it clear if you can turn the brush off. I have a very high end carpet that just got damaged because I ran my Bissell over and over the same spot to dry it. You state this has a dry mode. You don't state if that turns the brushes off. A critical feature.
I just finished my initial SmartWash Pet job on my living room carpet with good results...my comment has to do with the handheld tool - the solution comes out fine but there just doesn't seem to be much vacuuming power with the tool! Any suggestions?
I've noticed you havebr tested the hoover smart wash pet with the Brussel 2x pet. Which is better in your opinion. Also our house is around 2700 Sq feet and mostly carpet. I think that's a relatively good sized house. Would you recommend either of these or one with a bigger water holder. If a bigger one, whish one
Those types of carpet cleaners really damage older carpets. My vacuum dealer told me to get the Hoover Max Extract Pressure Pro with the "6 Brush Block" (different brush design) and that helped a lot. Is this one as loud as any of the other carpet cleaners?
I think it would be very interesting If you test dysons new cinetic big ball absolute 2. Since it claims to be the only vacuum with HEPA like behaviour, but without any filters.
Did you have a warranty with them because as I understand who gives five years warranty so any problems you supposed to take it back and they'll fix it for you or replace it
You should always vacuum carpets first imo so you can get up as much dry dirt as possible, less likely the water from the cleaner will mix with it and slightly make mud. This is why some people say it looks like the machine cleaned a spot but after the carpet dried it came back. Also the more you get up be4 the cleaner I'm sure your cleaning machine doesn't have to work as hard
Consumer Reports rated this FH53000 dead last. I'm confused by this as they rated the FH52000 fairly high. I thought they were basically the same unit with the exception of the Spot Chaser.
Thank god I don't really listen to reviews CUZ MORE TIMES THAN NOT Ive listened to reviews giving 5 stars and the thing was trash to me. Don't depend in reviews only
This carpet shampooer leaks. I filled it up 2 days before doing my carpets and all the shampoo solution leaked out plus some water. It's also very hard to clean.
Wait, why would you fill your liquids 2 days before doing your carpets? Of course liquids are going to travel down while sitting stagnant. I'm sure somewhere it is recommended not to store with liquids. Besides, wouldn't you want to use hot water in your tank when you clean your carpets? I do.

Cool, thanks!

Dude, your channel is totally under appreciated .
I got this at Walmart for $129 and it works so well. I was thinking about to get a rental for $20/time but this one is well worth the money
Will you be re-testing previous carpet washers using the same shampoo so we can see how they compare?
Let’s see an updated 2020 carpet cleaner test with the new testing implementations!
Devin Hart This!!

I HATE how they made fun of/dragged bissell in their ad as if they didn’t get the whole design idea from them 😂
Ikr!

YES
They wont do this because the bissell will make it look like junk.
I wish Hoover SteamVacs still exists today.
I know, I got a powers scrub thinking it was the same thing but the build quality was low and used a lot of water and shampoo.
Got a Pro Heat Revolution 2x pet and it's a lot better

Can you the quantum x vacuum?

Why isn't this available at bestbuy?
That's not fair!!! How does the Hoover SmartWash Pet compare to the best from Bissell? 😆
