Came here after going around in circles reading the manual (I'm a visual learner anyway!) Thanks so much for the straightforward video - much appreciated!
Thank you. Your carpet cleaner videos are the most straightforward and easy demonstrations I have seen yet. It’s nice to see someone demonstrate a product in a concise and direct and easy to understand manner.
Jim, Thank you! I have been staring at this stupid machine and the handbook it came with for 2 days. I usually can figure it out. I could not for the life of me figure out the attatchments. Now I can tackle the stains on my new carpet. My cat decided after installation that he's almost 16 so he now gets to vomit all over it. Wish me luck! I will refer to you plenty in the future cuz I consider myself a bit of a "do it yourselfer". Thanks also for getting right to it and not being a "Chatty Kathy". I hate that business
Sorry about your cat. Try some probiotics for the cat and some gentle stomach food. Purina makes it that help with my cat's vomiting issues. Now she doesn't vomit anymore but she's about 15 or 16 years old maybe even more
good videos. I just bought that model today and if I had to rely on just the manual I don't think I could have gotten started. good camera work - I could see everything you did clearly. (OBTW: I love that you have a 15 year old truck. Shows that you know your stuff!)
Many thanks to you, I've had a hoover cleaner for many years and still paid to get my couches cleaned, but not today. Me and you cleaned our couch today😂😂😂😂😂Thank you for you video🙏🏾
Great video! I so appreciate your detailed thoroughness! It’s so much easier for me to learn by watching someone opposed to reading it in a manual. You’re a blessing to have taken the time to create and share this!
Thank you. I thought mine was trashed after I loaned it out and it came back filthy. The brush block stopped turning and it was clogged. I picked all the yuck outta the brushes and got it all cleaned up and it works as should. Now to clean the upholstery brush. I'm working on cleaning my sofa now.
Very appreciative of the guy who created this tutorial, God knows Hoover's "support" isn't any help. I'll share my results and possibly save people some more time and headache. To start, I think using it as a carpet cleaner does a great job, I really do. However on upholstery, did a very poor job. Does the spin brush work? Yep, and it spins about as fast as your 90 yr old nana would churning butter, but it does spin. Does it suck up the dirty water? Yep, and you can apply that same logic in my last sentence here. I used half the tank of water and it picked back up just shy of 1/4 of the water used. The water it did pick up was dirty, no doubt, but there's 3/4 of it left behind. Now, if that equals clean to you, then have a go, but if you're like me and know what CLEAN really is, this thing won't do the job. Further, this was all done on my cloth couch (yes I checked the fabric labels) and it's a standard cloth couch, nothing fufu-ey. I used the spin brush (which did very little imo), the large flat scrubber that was a bust, and I'm here to give a shout out to the little guy!! That little tiny flat scrubber you think is probably trash, that was MY HERO, at helping pull up any water this little machine even could muster up. My two cents - call a professional or find another machine, this was a waste of time, on upholstery to be clear.
do I have to admit it, after a few years, I opened the two hoover bags and one was the plain one and one was the power scrub, I'm excited since I also have a steam unit too...this will allow for more extraction. It's amazing how dirty the water gets, even after 3x ! Just saying....have a great weekend !
Very detailed video. Even the cleanup at the end... The only thing I would do in addition to what you did is put a box fan or something in front of the machine and all the parts for a few hours to blow everything dry....You know that screen on the bottom front when you take the lens off? Let air blow through that screen to dry the turbine that spins the brushes on the inside....it will hopefully help keep it from rusting...I think a lot of people store them away for a year or so and when they go to use it the brushes stop spinning... it's because they didn't dry it out before storing it... These are my favorite types of carpet cleaners but they have to be babied somewhat..
Excellent thank you very much. Your instructions and tutorial was great. Cleaned my hallways bedroom and my stairs. They look good. Blessings to you and yours.❤
Thanks for the video. I will clean my living room couch today. I noticed you drive a tundra truck. I love my tundra truck. It's a 2010 crew max trd pro with 4 wheel drive. 296000 miles and counting. It's the smoothest running truck I've ever had . A 5.7 I force V8.
You, sir, are a ROCK STAR!! I've been trying to figure this out - how to attach the flippin' upholstery cleaner - for 20 minutes!! 🤬🤬 You've saved the day with this video. I'd love to stay and chat, but I've got a yard sale sofa to clean!! Big hugs from the southern California desert 🤗🤗🌵🤗🤗
I just ordered a newer machine and the hose is easier to connect. Thank goodness. I’m planning on order some additional heads as the carper cleaner I order only comes with one
Great instructions. So it looks like the solution is used straight out of the bottle and not mixed with water when adding to the solution side of the tank...correct?
Thank you! May be a silly question: Is there no way to rinse with water only to ensure all the soap is gone? I know when cleaning the carpets, it's wash with soap, then rinse. Are the attachments wash only?
Hi Jim, great video. I'm thinking of buying this product. I wanted to ask when you're done cleaning, and when throwing away the remaining clean water, why throw away the solution? Would you not recommend we keep it so we can use it next time? I'm wondering if there is any specific reason behind this. Please let me know. Thank you
Are you suppose to do a rinse cycle after you do a wash cycle? My brand new machine seems to spray soapy water whether or not the knob is turned to wash or rinse. Any ideas?

It certainly works on upholstery, but I find the vacuum is so slight that it removes only a small amount of liquid. From what I can see there is no way to place clean water on the upholstery so I am left with cleaning solution still in the fabric. Is there something I'm missing? Thank you
