Wait, are some people really giving you BS about doing this kinda vid for an event like Sick Week - as opposed to your revival-type videos?? Wow - they need to cool it! You and Jessica go have some fun! The nerve of some folks ! I love everything you do and taking us on adventures like this fella!
@robertmceuen3630 so it's embarrassing to support Derek and his family while outing the idiots who do nothing but complain over free content? Good to know, I'll gladly be embarrassing.
This video was a blast !! Usually your driving a sketch mobile but driving these sweet rides is a change, thank you and Jess , Motion, Volunteer, Chad not Chad but the other Chad🤔
I love it when you let us tag along with y'all on these drag and drive events. Really makes a disabled and homebound fellers life just that much easier. ❤
Here I am, 4 days out from a kidney transplant and I get to watch Derek and all the Chads rip sick week! I am so thankful that you guys are filming this and I get to tag along with you in my hospital room here in London, Ontario. I can't wait for Day 2 coverage. I got to meet you some day and shake your hand and say thank you for making my life that much mor enjoyable.
Variety is the spice of a fellas life. Don’t stress yourself if some viewers complain about not every video being a junkyard revival. You have TONS of us who enjoy all your content, drag racing, new builds, old builds and revivals.
The revivals, sick week, everything about your channel is to be admired but your attention to your fans is what is really special and what really matters. Very impressive sir. You are a legend 🙌
Derek, You do what's fun for you and your family (and your team) and I'm totally here to enjoy the ride and support y'all. That's what your channel's about for me. I'm just a 60+ yr old mechanically - minded chick from the Motor City who likes folks who know how to wrench on things. Simple as that. Thanks for all the fun and learning.
You're awesome; I've known some ladies like that; the one at the parts store was so smart, asked all the right questions, she had my total respect. The other girl was a biker, ready to race anyone (her dad owned a cycle shop) & she told me what changes she made to her turbocharged Kawasaki. Impressive!
When he's not doing car revivals a feller is reviving families and communities. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all you do to make us all feel like a part of the crew Derek! Stay safe and keep her between the lines good sir.
SICK Week is Graduation Day for the whole darn year of VGG!!! We get to watch the results of a year's worth of Derek's work that he shared with us. Who wouldn't watch every year?!?
I haven’t had time to finish the last one and now this?! Thank you for bringing us along! Hope you’re having fun, stay safe. ~ Chuck. EDIT: Man, both of those ripped! Congratulations
Everybody loves a revival, but watching sick week is a bonus in my book, because we get to see some of these rigs doing some pulls on the track, and seeing them cruise somewhere in America. I love the variety of stuff you guy's do, and i liked seeing Jessica smiling as you and her were cruising to the next destination. G-d bless from a gal in Michigan.
Thank you for what you do from Manitoba Canada! Been a follower for quite sometime, what you and you’re family do and portray, legitimately I might add is an inspiration to all of us! Edit.. Whether it’s a revival or any other content you create we’re here for all of it!
Your love of Chevelles is close to my heart as I had a grandmother (this is NOT a joke!) who's husband was a chevy dealer. They had a small dealership in a small rural town in Missouri. Grandmother wanted a "zippy car I can get to town in," so Granddad ordered her a 1970 Chevy Malibu, Gold, non SS coupe with white vinyl roof (very very grandmotherly-looking), with a 350 8cyl, with just a little ole racing cam. Driving my 2 brothers and I around (I was one of the younger twin boys), she would pull up to a stop lights with an unsuspecting teen boy driving a muscle car; (did I mention she had snow-white hair); she would rev. her little 350 just a smidgeon and give the kid in the lane next door a little raised eyebrow; when the light changed she would "put the onions to her" leaving muscle car kid in the look behind mirror. I just loved my grandmother; and her little grandmotherly rig as well....! Have fun!!!
Thanks Big D, for me Derek has literally saved my life, tough times for me in New Zealand at 51 years old and 4 kids I love to bits, the raw answer Big D (that's my term of endearment for Derek so not trying to take the piss at all) about when he said I won't miss a football game or a parent teacher interview was just mind-bending stuff, 16 24 hindsight is a clear way forward and the 1980s building a 355 chev'y HZ Holden Ute with my late dad was and still is my fondest memory, next to holding each of my 4 daughters in my arms for the first time, thanks TTM and thanks VGG, salt of the earth I think is an understatement, my universe is in line with how I get through the week waiting to see my internet dad Big D 🤗 Thank you for letting my face smile
Glad to see you guys enjoying the opportunity to have a good time with friends and fans. Both all the cool fans and your own cooling fans... 😉 Watching your shows is a genuine pleasure. Keep on keeping on.
Derek, just saw the interview with Truck Talk Media. Man, take a break, we'll be here. You admitted it, you are burning out. GRFEAT to see the Chevelle running like it is, and the Motion Raceworks truck...wow...what can you say. Running 9's right out the gate!
Your enthusiasm is infectious Derek. The feel good factor is a low 9 on the 1/4 and a high ten on the scale. Thanks for the update. You're blessed man.
I've got a 70 chevelle sitting in my garage with an ls6 in it. It used to be an 1/8th mile car back in the day and it was given to me by my dad. I start it once in a while but don't drive it much. This makes me want to throw some paint/tires on it and get it going again!
THE most gorgeous Z28 race car. God the 80/81s are my favorite. Had my 80 Z28 since April 94...I was 3 and a half. We've always had that one and usually a second 80/81 at the same time. Most recently an 81 with 8600 original miles. Chads Z28 and KSRs soccer mom are my favorite race cars. True street cars.
Events like this are the whole reason for reviving building these cars! Anyone who would complain about these videos.. they’re just not seeing the big picture. Thanks to everyone at VGG for all the great work and sacrifice it takes to make it happen for your followers. Love and gratitude from the Bronx, NY
I live in New Zealand and ive been following this channel for a couple of years and I just love the drag and drive weeks thank you Derek for bringing us along with you
So excited for this series! I have a 1950 3100 that I’m working on and fingers crossed I’ll make it to sick week next year! Keep up the great work! Thanks for taking us along!
Jess & Derek - we VGG’rs know you two love doing these together…y’all always enjoy the ride, so thanks for bringing us along. the kiddos enjoy breaks from us, too (and getting all jacked up on Mtn Dew) -we’re currently seeing revival. the blue Chevelle is reviving its former 8th & 1/4mile-rip life
That looks like a blast, thanks for taking us along. Liberty is my favorite in your stable and was stoked to see her run in the 10's on first try. I have watched so many of your videos that you feel like an old friend at this point, hope I get the opportunity to give you a fist bump in person sometime.
I think you and Jess are the perfect example of the true American family. American Proud, God loving, and Family Supporting. Thanks for all you guys do. Never forget where you came from. And the rest will fall into place.
I like videos where you’re making a car better at home, racing at these events, than just revivals all the time. I love how you do everything. Plus it makes me feel better that you’re at home with your family more. I work for an airline, I know what a life on the road is like. Keep it up
I live in Brevard county and work as an hvacr technician. I saw all the cars coming down 528 on their way to the port. What a treat!! Thank y'all for what y'all do!!!!
To any of the people who complain about what Derek and family put out content wise, please feel free to start your own channel and show everyone how its done. I'm sure many here would love it if the keyboard pros would show everyone exactly what it takes out there. Thanks Bieri family for entertaining us.
