    💥 3 Major Benefits of Jump Rope Training Are:
    1. Burns Major Calories
    Compared to jogging for 30 minutes, jumping rope actually burns more calories. According to Science Daily, “This aerobic exercise can achieve a “burn rate” of up to 1300 calories per hour of vigorous activity, with about 0.1 calories consumed per jump. Ten minutes of jumping rope can roughly be considered the equivalent of running an eight-minute mile.”
    Very few exercises burn calories like jump rope. Even jumping at a very moderate rate burns 10 to 16 calories a minute.
    2. Decreases Foot and Ankle Injuries
    Jumping rope is beneficial for those active in other sports. Many athletes in basketball, tennis, football and other sports often suffer foot and ankle injuries from running and then stopping quickly and turning. This is very common in both tennis and basketball. Jumping rope not only improves your foot coordination but also increases your strength in the muscles surrounding your ankle joint and in your foot, which decreases the chance of injury to those areas.
    3. Improves Coordination + AGILITY
    Jumping rope actually improves your coordination by making you focus on your feet. Whether or not you’re paying attention to them, your brain is aware of what your feet are doing. This practice, over and over again, makes you “lighter” on your feet.
    Are you ready to get started? Lets's GO! 💦.

    I did this one second time today. First workout ropeless. Second workout, i made some of them with rope. As i improve my jumping per minute count and jumping height and syncronization i will do all moves with rope. I found this one useful for explosive power, cardio, improving energy level for boxing workouts. I think 20 sec work 10 sec rest is ideal. Thanks.

    • @PHOENIXNATIONFITNESS
      @PHOENIXNATIONFITNESS  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Dan thanks for the honesty. What I suggest is that you practice the skills outside of the workout and even take out the rope so you can work on the footwork first. Keep your hands at your side as if you have a rope so that you keep practising the rhythm and coordinations of moving your hands and feet at the same time.

      Hey Wilson I started learning jump rope skills in my late 30's. There are many other jumpers out there with far more tricks than me because I am a generalist and not a specialist. If you want to learn a NEW jump rope skill you should do this outside of a workout and preferably at the beginning of your session. Treat your workouts as that and learning skills as a separate session. I hope that this helps.
