That counter attack was absolutely insane.
Everyone is going nuts about the graphics and settings and here’s the actual excitement, where the tactics are what matters and realism comes from the interaction rather than the GPU. Superb!
Did my first operation in kp liberation last night for the 4th! Really want to thank karma for running such an awesome server.

@@idk2865 its not that easy, reworking the engine could impact a lot of things and could mess with the ecosystem of mods and tools. That's one of the reason Reforger was born to help transition to the newer engine.
Why would they update the engine if Arma 4 will come out next year

This one shows how battery efficiency is of key in drones. The tank AI can be a good force multiplier, anything AI can be used for an edge in battle.

Yeah there's ambient wildlife native in Arma3. You just ignore it after a while.
The firefights in Arma 3 are simply unmatched when it comes to complexity. The tactical and realistic gameplay creates an authentic combat experience where every firefight is filled with strategy and unique challenges.

@@KRKR77it’s for PC. And the maps are massive so they can be urban in some parts but rural in others. There’s a million modded maps and 3 base game and a couple of others through DLC’s

I love how Russian underslung grenade launchers, use simple and fast reload from the front. Grenade gets locked in nice and tight and you can let fly within a second. No complicated pump action reload mechanism, nor the need to disassemble parts of the rifle in order to mount it like the M203, just slide that baby under the firing barrel, get a grenade in and let fly.

That’s it. I’ve been starting the arma campaign recently and this game really is just king of fps milsim, as much as I love other similar games. I must join this.

@@Elgallo1107 he's making the right move. even the noob friendly annex servers will roast you for being a noob at this point in arms lifespan. i guarantee a once over of the campaign will be a + before joining right into karma server and asking 1000's of questions the avg arma player would know, let alone the mod specific stuff.

@@Elgallo1107 the ai is definitely pretty old and dumb, but eh it’s still fun to immerse oneself into the cool mechanics while kicking their butts. I’m hoping to get a grip on the mechanics before joining multiplayer. Only recently did I figure out the looting system. Also the game’s sheer plethora of keybinds is daunting at first until I can commit them to muscle memory.
This is the game that got me into the world of open world shooting game
Man I cannot wait for arma 4, If reforger keeps doing on well on consoles it will be the second and the best arma game to be released on consoles.

Yep, Arma does have the best realistic feel to it and yes, it's totally handcrafted 🤷🤷 That's why squad's attempt of reinventing their infantry combat is so interesting

The learning curve for just using mods in arma is wild. I like to consider myself relatively tech literate and the game never feels right for me after i install everything. Who knows haha

The firefights in day z epoch are still unmatched.
ARMA 3 has always looked really fun to me but setting all the mods and controls up for it was such a pain then only to find out its just as hard to find a group to play with. I do hope that another game can eventually bring that level of realism with not as much hassle, until then ill stick with Squad.

How can you tell where an enemy is located?
Some noobs and most casuals think ARMA is boring or dumb because they never "find" the enemy and lose, but it's because they have no sense of awareness, let alone reality. "Operation Firestorm: Elite" back in the day had the same intensity and dynamic freedom of placement. The campaign was a classic as much as you could make your own. Hell, I used to drive kilos of cannabis in ARMA II tryin' to hustle. Popped my tire on a short-cut, and BLUE-FOR fixed it in the middle of the desert while I was doing jumping jacks in a turban. Later that day, they tried to slow me down for speeding when I finally got back on the road. What a ride.
Arma 2 is something that will never be matched imo. Got 3 expecting to have the same experience and nothing comes close to the joy I got from Arma 2

I have a question for those who’ve played Arma for a long while I’m new to harm and I love the game but I’m still learning specially, since I’m a new PC player is there any Milson groups of people recommend that would be good for me to start
Unfortunately this isn't too great a place to ask, tried offering help to someone previously and my comment got deleted. Its understandable Karma doesn't want anyone poaching potential players for his unit
Honestly the Liberation server is pretty good for new people as long as you're willing to learn, they also have the Training server where you can shoot the range. I've been going on and off the past few months going from looking for a unit to just going into Liberation server and made some great memories while learning. They also have recruitment periods if you actually want to join the unit
Can try Rubix Raptors group, or I think 7th Cav and 2ID. There’s a lot of public experiences kind of like this one, Mike Force Servers, invade and annex, and liberation servers.

Reforger is literally Arma 4 Alpha. As stated by the Devs when Reforger was launched.

I have been playing Arma 2 for a while now and I've been wanting to play ArmA 3 for years. I'm kinda worried that my 2.6ghz i7-9750H, 6-Cores/12-LPs, and RTX2060 won't be enough though. I've got an NVME SSD and 16GB of DDR4 RAM - plus I'm most likely getting a second 16GB stick of RAM soon, but my slow CPU is kinda trash and always gives me trouble in the more complicated games I play (which is 90% of my favorites..).
Everytime I see Arma3 gameplay, I can't help but feel that it's the absolute best game out there. Something about Reforger seems to lack the rawness and punch of ArmA 3's aesthetic. Damn I want to play this game lol
If the servers are still getting action in Arma 2, then you're still having a ton of fun. I have them both and never got into 3 the way I did with 2.
@@PrimeForm1 It's the headache leading up to that fun that is starting to make me want to move to 3. Armaholic is down, ArmedAssaultInfo is on life support since they said they were closing 5 years ago. Only ModDB is stable with a few dozen mods. Arma2 is kinda abandoned for the most part. It sucks that I came around too late to experience it at it's height, but I had a lot of fun for a while.
I have a better processor and a worse GPU (RX 480) and I can run Arma3 at 60fps at medium with mods with no problem on a HDD and still looks great, maybe you just need a better procesor for playing but the rest seems good
battlebit proved that people would be happier with an efficient multiplayer system, capable of handling more players and being smooth, than AI which will never live up to expectations.
Arma 3 and Battlebit aren't comparable so not sure why you mentioned that here.
@@69DangerousD They are comparable. Not sure who told you that or why you believe that. The AI have always been garbage and ran like garbage. People made videos just to show off how much AI they can handle because they are like a performance test. Then the multiplayer performance of A3 is itself terrible, because they never really put any effort into it. I know this because I was a serious modder of the game, and modders went so far as to just circumvent the engine for its absurd handling of multiplayer.

This is very heavily modded. Almost none of what you are seeing is vanilla ARMA 3

The fixed wing flying needs so much work but literally everything else is amazing.
Rotary wing is garbage as well. Honestly, the only thing arma does good is Large dynamic warefare. Everything else is wonky, from movements to vehicles to the map editor

I wonder how everyone's reaction would be like if some dude start playing like he was playing CS or COD and somehow wiped a whole squad? Would the admins quickly make major changes to balancing to make sure it can't happen again? because from what ı know of multiplayer gaming once something like this becomes open to masses players will find exploits or unrealistic ways to play within few days. To make sure this doesn't happen the devs/admins would probably have to constanly do balancing patches and in extreme cases ban players for not playing the intended way.
How succesfull would this be for the masses anyway? Majority of people don't have that much time to dedicate to set multiplayer sessions like this and even if they do life have many unexpected circumstances that can collide with that. I would love for stuff like this to be more open to masses and more accessible but it does pose questions on how good it would work and how succesfull it would be that a devoloper and a publisher would try to do something like this. (Man ım such a doomer talking so negatively on something ı would love to be happening XD)
It wouldn't happen. Arma, especially karmas mod list punishes you for rushing into things.
The balance comes from the tech. IE thermals. But even then you can beat it.
Can you get snipers on here? I'm ditching call of duty and moving to arma in done with Activision's lack of willing to sort out their hacking problems but I love sniping

could you tell me what is your average fps ?
I'm pretty new to Arma 3 and I play SP campaign where I get 90 fps and Annexe in multi where I literally drop to 35 fps !! I am so disappointed and feel cheated after spending 100€ in all DLC's...I knew it would not be good opti' and quite low fps, but 35 fps, that's so unplayable (or at least not enjoyable at all).
Arma 3 is old and relys heavily on single core performance... Modern GPUs will do absolutely ZERO to boost your frame rate, at most maybe 1-2 frames...
vanilla Arma is super easy to run you can easily touch 100-150fps but when you start adding mods even for this server that uses like 60 mods then performance takes a real hard hit especially with, 100-200 AI spawned.
If you really wanna boost performance, get an Intel CPU they have some of the best single core performance however if your already Ryzen check out the X3D CPUs that have some of the better single core performances for ryzen
35fps is not unplayable, I promise.

I own a Ryzen 7 5800x - Rtx 3070 - 16Gb. I don’t know how good that is for Arma 3.
On the “Annexe and invade” server, they don’t use any mods. As soon as we are in a city, it drops like hell…which makes it super hard for close combat !
I’m almost considering moving to Arma Reforger, I saw they have a modern warfare mod.
@@hugojozwicki yeah that's pretty much expected... I have Ryzen 5 5600x, rtx 3060ti and 32gigs of ram and once I enter a city it will drop to 30- fps.... Like I said Ryzen CPUs just have shit performance for Arma 3. Don't worry your in a similar boat with like 90% of the Arma community. But yeah I think Karma's rocking 13000 series Intel CPUs. Since your already Ryzen check out those X3D CPUs, they can bring you to near 60fps in cuties and iv seen someone have 110 outside of combat. Otherwise you just learn to cope and work with the lower frame rate
Intel CPUs and more RAM seems to be the best way to improve FPS, I’ve got an i7-9700k and 32gb of ram with a 3060 and I get around 30-60 fps in my groups modded ops with around 60-80 mods. 35 FPS is most definitely playable in arma 3 if you want better performance drop your object view distance especially in cities.

Vast majority of Arma 3 mods are free. A couple of the DLC are paid but for that you get a LOT of high quality content, especially the Vietnam DLC. But you can have a great time using 100% free mods.
This game is two inaccessible. I got no servers to join nobody to play with.
Squad is more for the masses.
