Just from a blatant C2 perspective, your guys comms are insane. Amazing to hear how quickly you guys can transfer information in meaningful ways, while also maintaining brevity. Really should be proud of what you guys have built. Really impressive.
It’d be interesting to see a different scenario like a 12 man ODA defending a Village from Insurgents or instead of an Afghanistan type map run it something closer to Iraq or Syria with more Urban settings
"uncompromising immersion" >"you're not allowed to plant IEDs as the insurgents" >"don't shoot at the rear helicopter because Karma and other leadership are on it" lol
lmao, not exactly embracing realism and how quickly a plan can go to hell (part of the reason why i never joined an event, since you could get kicked from future events for finding the enemy FOB, not my fault you placed it in an obvious spot)
i wish insurgents had stingers i think it would add more tension and then the kilo guys would be doing under fire extracts less, they would try to head to safe LZs ieds as well

Honestly, I'd like to see a manhunt where a small squad moves to neutralize an HVT; dodge the opposing players as best you can, infiltrate their hideout, take care of the target, and then disappear into the surrounding environment. Bonus points if you leave the server up for awhile and don't tell them exactly when you're coming. Even more bonus points if you're never caught and forced into a gunfight.
Man i watch a bunch of tactical-games youtubers, you played a lot with them, but it feels like no one is as passionate about "tactics" in tactical games as you are. What a great community you've built to do such event and what a pleasure to watch your videos. Great stuff man, very excited for your game
Love these videos. Does anyone know if any of the guys from the different squads also upload on here? Just want to see the different perspectives. Keep up the good work Karma!
Would love if you made a page listing alphabetically all the different acronyms and so forth you use in coms, with a link to it in the post description. That would be cool, and would help dummies like me get even more immersion. :)
Absolutely love these videos Karma. The in-depth planning at the beginning gives us additional ideas for our Operations and helps people understand planning better. Would love to see a tutorial on how you guys plan with a list of different acronyms and your tactics you use. Otherwise support you guys the whole way
Love watching the KillKOG events, just curious have you ever thought about doing one as a Zeus camera and just floating around doing some commentary letting your 2IC lead sometime? It would be cool to see the operation from a birds eye view of some of the different engagements that we as viewers dont typically get too see
I know you guys love the power fantasy and I understand why, but you should really run some symmetrical warfare scenarios instead of just your US side having the only drones and air support.
He explains that in more detail in the first mentioned video. But yes, there's handicaps. In each KillKOG event these are slightly different, here OPFOR didn't have any NVG's, no air assets, no drones. A few tanks and mortars was the most they had.
OPFOR are typically obliterated in the opening stages of the raid by initial pre-staged fires from Air. Its hard to mount a significant defense when your force is spread throughout 3 objectives and any positions you established are identified and erased prior to the BLUFOR force even landing.
love your videos Karmakut! Would love to take part in these some day ( when I get more free time from irl that is ). your operations look so interesting. Especially the Nam ones ( my favorite videos from ya ).
I actually heard about this game coming out that you might like, I think it’s called Bellum? It’s supposed to be really good when it comes out, plenty of realistic mil-sim mechanics and visuals. I know most of this community is excited for it ❤
i tried getting into SQUAD / arma more than once. having to wait SO long just to be able to even begin to have a firefight, having to wait for pickup OR run for 10 minutes to reach the front line.... idk.... not for me
Why has no one made like a seal team game? Learn a bunch about Navy Seals and create a game. A campaign with missions and units of 2-6 personnel doing recon, surveillance, and elimination and make everything come together. Single player or multiplayer. For people who love seals I feel like it’d be a hit
I just noticed how much Karmakut uses clips from Squad in his Arma video / War Thunder ad. Unless that's just this video (which I'm thinking is the answer lol)
Very good coordination, good team. I would like to point out though that out of all your videos that I've seen, not 1 person 1 time used the term "copy" correctly, its been incorrect every single damn time, lmfao
The thing that helped me get 3x more fps on Arma was using lossless scaling app on steam, And It doesn't hurt Arma much either because its not a fast paced game like cod. You might wanna look into it

Did you read my mind? I was just searching for a one-life, night time mil sim operation and you upload 5 minutes later... Crazy AF.
I would love an after action report: Casualties for both sides, tactics actually used by both sides etc...
A debrief would definitely add to the stem of mil Sim for these guys
Hopefully with your game it will be.

The chaotic voice comms remind me of sitting in the command channel of massive Eve Online fleet battles
Eve is a vibe
Insurgents are so low quality, even their recording is low quality. XD

That landing with the helicopters was epic
Ground Branch is pretty amazing but it doesn't have the vehicles and other things.
I watch every single one of these videos. Great control and appropriate simulation.
hey @karmakut i had a question in your milsim vids who is the commander. he is always in command
I know you guys love the power fantasy and I understand why, but you should really run some symmetrical warfare scenarios instead of just your US side having the only drones and air support.
Those comms, very nostalgic.
Yes, they mod in FPV drones and you barely advance before the host just destroys you and your column in transit to the objective.
My god who is that JTAC that is amazing
Would love to see a Gen 6 vs Gen 6 event with some sort of 3rd party. Or current Gen
Do the opfor have less guys or some other kind of handicap? The enemy rarely offers any significant resistance in these videos.

Another great, entertaining, and informative video! I really liked the small sections showing things from the "enemy" perspective!
Just something I was wondering. Why didn’t you guys use IR lights so that the drone can identify friendlies easier?
Do a similar type of video on Squad, it'd be sick.

They did, the SOCOM series. Was an amazing series but was exclusive to playstation.
I'm surprised there isn't a counter battery radar unit mod in Arma.
Yeah, ARMA is the best ground based Mil-Sim on the planet. DCS is the best mobile version. Imagine them as one.

I think It would be better without music, maybe In the intro but not during fire fights.
I hope in the game you make there is a one life mode
Why would they move into the buildings, or room to room, without tossing grenades, first?
