It's good in the sense that it looks like a man in an alien costume that is more accurate. However looking like an actor in an alien suit was never anyones intent which is why the alien in the movie is edited so that we can't linger too long and make these observations. I'm happy with my Neca.
Hahaha…. I was thinking the same thing… the legs look too human. I am thinking it should have animal like hind legs - like the queen. But it is movie accurate since they did use a man in a suit for those scenes rather than stop motion figures and CG aliens did not come to play until the third movie.
@@brianng8350 and yet the cg models (including Covenant) look infinitely worse than any of the original alien or aliens costumes. Also they got rid of the whole slow and predatory movement that they used to do originally to some generic cgi creature crawl...
Apparently you can lightly coat the figure in Matte modge podge and it will seal in that rubber for a LONG time and prevent the rubber from breaking down especially in humid environments, may be able to coat it in a semigloss to give it that wet shine that will stay even after manipulating the figure over and over.
Man, I can totally relate. You're videos are giving me inspiration and motivation to finally get into figure photography and now, knowing that you're trying to do videos when you're in a good headspace gives me another level of inspiration and motivation. I appreciate you dude, thank you!
I got one, it’s a really interesting figure and good to see mezco trying something new with it. Photographs really well and the skin is really unsettling, in a good way. But I really worry how it will hold up in a few months, and if the skin will become a dust magnet and look like an old tire.
@Tomandkylie Surely there's a light product that can be sprayed (periodically?),that can help with this & other figures?,will have to do some research,I've not checked mine out yet

@@bryanmarcia4104 I am so sorry to hear that! They need to stop using these rubber suits. Maybe one day future materials will make the seamless body work but we're not there yet.
With that interchangeable chest piece they have to make Ripley for sure, hopefully we get an interchangeable Nostromo jumpsuit and a space suit with the underwear underneath to get her 3 looks from the movie
Was very tempted to get this, but had to limit my spending. Didn't realize what a big boy he'd be! If I were going to get a Xenomorph figure, it would be this one because I love that the outfit is mostly a single piece just like the movie costume.
@@forrestpenrod2294 I agree, the neca is a big chunk of plastic so it's less likely to brake overtime or you can just fix it if anything breaks, plus is a lot cheaper and has the very same attention to detail
Neca did plenty of those It's disappointing we don't have a mainstream comic alien, the ressurection variants are decent but the legs are just too awkward and come up bent at certain portions
I know you have to be careful with some aspects of the figure due to internal design, if you got some spare time watch Strage Form’s video dissecting the figure to see how it works th-cam.com/video/IQ5Ma4adxSg/w-d-xo.html

Mezco makes good looking stuff, but a bit outta my price range. Love watching the reviews!

I'm keeping a silica bag in my display next to him. In my experience, it's the moisture that will rot that skin!

That’s a perfect background for the posing!
Just because they are new at this type of body, could you do an update in a couple weeks/months?? Just to see if it holds up?
There is one out! Name of the video is Mezco Alien Autopsy! He looks into it! This figure isn't as good as everyone thinks...

It's only a matter of time, this seamless bodies will torn like pleather stuff
If it's anything similar to the Enterbay Batman Begins figure it'll hold up fine. I've kept my Batman in bent poses for years with no issues.
Great review! I was on the fence about this, but he’ll look amazing next to my Mezco predator!
White slime could be the robot blood. Robots in Alien franchise can be deceptively human looking, but they are white blooded.
This is what I’ve been waiting for for weeks, great video as always D!
I’ve owned high end figures with these kinds of bodies. They always fall apart or rip or flake within five years.
No different with this one , mines already ripped in some places.

Thanks for another great Mezco review! I'm eagerly awaiting my Batman Gotham by Gaslight!
Love the slap to the predator at the end! Great video as always.
I'm with you on prefering the comic lore and quadrupedal xenos. I want mezco to do human characters from alien and predator

Get the NECA Big Chap figure. It’s good enough.
I’ve owned figures with suits like this and it’ll be flaking or ripping apart in a few years.

The car horn at the 2 minute mark made me think of GTAV for some reason lmao
Love the nyc sound effects 🤣
Good figuer. i am going to get it for my little brother for his Bday he loves Ailen so.
Looks great but I don't trust in rubber bodies, specially since those degrade fast overtime and once you break it's gone forever
The pics turned out great!
Love the backdrop!!!
Sweet vid, will prob grab even tho I already have the NECA ult which is pretty solid.
Does the figure have double odds single jointed elbows?
Awesome figure, glad I ordered it too.
It's really disappointing we don't have better crawler alien figures with great articulation.
Neca did plenty of those

Very good review as usual
It's not a D_amazing video with out on the signature popo 🚨🚨🚨's
Watch those thighs. The rubber can get caught up on the screws of the interior skeleton and ruin the leg articulation!
Big chap is not your favorite?!?! red flag mate.
Great review
Love it!
Surely Indians sit cross-legged too 😆
That tail is amazing. However, those legs are too human. Since this is an alien, I hoped it is more flexible with the ab crunch and leg bend.
Bro ikkkk he has death adder 😤on the side line waiting to upload the vid
Actually he have double knees. Just try harder
