    Honestly, love this trainer. She really is focused on mind, body, and soul.I really liked how she preaches about more then just vanity affects. Plus, it is long term and sustainable.

      but the fact that NOBDY corrected them about the "working off" the bad food in the gym the next day (also water weight) was a MAJOR problem and should not be the way they (especially maya) approach food

      @@lisa_vxng there's more to training people than the physical part, psychology is actually many times more important. People are not driven, they're not motivated, they mostly work on habit and repetition. Talking to your trainees about what they did right or wrong doesn't yield particularly positive results. Actually, getting them to not pass judgement on whether they did right or wrong, and instead focusing technique, showing up, and actually enjoying the process of becoming stronger tends to yield better outcomes both in terms of physical results and the creation of long term healthy habits. BTW, please understand that the Buzz Feed guys are also sometimes in character and what they say doesn't necessarily reflect their understanding or thinking about the situation but it may be more focused on entertaining the audience.

      I mean, these two men were a lot fatter than the women. They had more to lose. It's also because women hold their reserves far better than men do, because there is a possibility that they have to nurture a baby in the womb. Evolution hasn't realized yet, that people can get food really easily these days

      Men have higher muscle tone and density. Muscle burns calories just being there and increases metabolism. Men are are also (generally) heavier than women, so burn more baseline calories just existing. Hope this helps

    Bendito, when maya cried. I felt her pain. We sometimes get so consumed with losing weight we often times fail to be kind to ourselves. You're going to make mistakes and I think what's awesome is you recognized it, but didn't stay in your mistake. You got up and bounced back. This was awesome you all did a great job.

    Note: I didn’t workout everyday, sometime I would go weeks without working out but I been trying to eat more healthy and I play sports so that helps a lot. I been focusing on building muscle.

      That's how it is and for a lot of people eating that one cookie is where they give up and stop working out and go back to their old habits and diet. That one cookie feels like you lose all your progress.

      @Babe Says No they wouldn't be. They have different goals different body types and etc which means they will have different diets. If your diet is not based off your specific goals it's not an intelligent one period. Plus with different metabolisms you have to take it into consideration. Like a diet for me would be hell to create for any dietian because I loose weight extremely fast and takes me weeks to put on weight that I loose and most diets could put me in a hospital. Like these are easy facts and if she did as she said and made seperate diets for each of them you have no idea how they change per person.

      @Babe Says You can't when first they all have different metabolisms family backgrounds and health histories. Diets are a lot more complex than you assume. Honestly the best diet for anyone is one that is based on their goals and how their DNA is set up. Ance yes there are a plethora of companies in which people get that information. So technicially no diet functions the same for two different people and that's why it is unsafe for people to just jump on any diet without doing proper research. Similar to the fact every few years people should get allergy tests run because unlike DNA the results will and canchange over the years. Doo not get upset that I'm trying to provide you with valid and correct information. You don't know how she chose their diets or if she is even a certified dietitian. So why would you seek her advice instead of a doctor or rather for certain people a $35 test to figure out what would help you directly get to your goals. And they have different goals so her diets would be different for every person.

      @Babe Says No I'm saying that people trying to get fit or lose weight don't have to eat anything similar like at all. Its actually been proven. Even if someone who had the exact same goal as me ate what I eat regardless of portion sizes they will gain weight. I happen to lose 25-40 pounds a year while maybe occasionally putting on just 5 pounds and this is with eating 5x a day. I'm taking personal experience abd trying to educate you. I've lost 30 pounds in 2-3 weeks while eating normally and still more than any other person. Those is why I say you can't do the same thing for everyone

    🌸 I like this trainer, when she said I want them to think about what they put into their mouth, not losing weight and feel healthy from inside (something like that), She had my attention 😳
    I realised I do eat crappy foods from time to time, I do try to work out but not consistently
    Health is very important to me as I need to outlive my brother, he depends on me as he’s autistic and learning difficulties (from brain damage at birth)
    So this is it, chucking out my shit and buying vegetables, brown rice etc. Whipping out my Nana’s cooking book and memory of mom’s recipes
    I can do this, maybe not workout part 100% but I can start eating right 💕
    I will start small with workout and build on bits I can manage, basically what works on my body
    I will let you know what I lost in about 3months, wish me luck (Dec, Jan & Feb.....but start now in 19th Oct)

      Gail Fisher I’m 14 and I have a pretty fast metabolism and boy do I take advantage of it... i barley eat vegetables and always eat junk food. But I’ve realized that my health is super important and I need to start eating better/ working out more now before it backfires on me when I’m an adult. Good luck with your journey!

      Jenna Grande totally agree, my mom didn’t let me buy it as a kid. So I did it in secret.
      Sadly I developed a heart issue and shortness of breath, which I reversed. However it took a while.
      I’m so glad you are changing this to stay healthy 😊

      ky.babystan felt like that too, weighing 240 pounds , it wasn't easy for me to go the gym because of my anxiety , but be strong , control those voices inside of your head and go ! I lost 32 pounds in 4 months , now I weigh 208 and still need to lose more , but you can do it !

      I was that way too and worked out in my tiny room for 6+ months before even working out anywhere else. Moved on to the living room next (where my roommates might see, yikes) and then eventually to a very empty park, then after 1+ year, going to the emptiest part of the gym. It's all a process! And looking back, it was all in my head. Nowadays if I'm "looking" at someone in the gym, it's not to judge them for being a noob. It's because I think they look really good/cute, if I'm eyeing their equipment and waiting for them to finish, or if I'm zoning out and looking in their direction.

      We shed weight at similar percentage rates, but men weigh more, typically, so they lose more pounds in the same number of weeks. When I started my lifestyle changes, I lost 20 lbs in about 3 weeks, and I'm a female. (Before someone panics that I'm doing something dangerous, much of that was water, and I have settled at a medically safe and sustained 1.5 to 2 lb/week average, and am doing this with a docs supervision; I was starting at a point where I had over 100lbs to shed, so that's not super unusual to drop a bunch up front.) My week over week weightloss has decreased over time as I've approached my goal. Same happens to guys. My percentage is actually holding pretty steady. By next swimsuit season, I should be at my goal weight though.

      Same thing for me in my weight loss journey. About 25lbs in the first 30 days. Then stayed around 1.5 a week after that. I lost 120lbs.

      Hey there! Everyone's body type is different but I'm 5'7 and when I was 158lbs I was pretty in shape. (I'm 167 now but am working to get it back down.)       Yes because they were heavier than both the women. The heavier you are, the more weight you lose. If I and someone 10 kg over me does the same routine for same time, they'll lose more weight.

    I’m 15, I am 6’1 and I weigh 187 pounds. I used to weigh 208. Although I feel proud of my progress so far, I still feel insecure. I’m working hard to be more confident and love my self!

    As a naturally skinny person I don’t like to workout to be skinnier, but to feel confident and fit. When I say I want to workout people look at me all crazy and say “Why do you want to work out if you’re already skinny?!” But that makes me more insecure hearing it time after time. But above all this, working out gives you the boost of feeling confident about yourself. 💪🏼

I’m 5’1 and weigh between 93-99lbs because I have a good metabolism and I fluctuate with weight. I workout because it makes me feel better about myself and I feel more confident (which I’ve lost over the years). People think I’m younger than I am (18) because I’m naturally built small and it makes me feel like it’s not “right”.

      I think it's because fast food and junk food is cheap and is everywhere in our lives. You're not alone- most of America struggles with it :). MyFitnessPal literally helped me recognize my bad eating habits and I planned my meals a lot better :)

    After using the bathroom you have to do a set amount of squats. (At least 10 squats and you could do this for any reason that involves going into the bathroom ex: brushing teeth, makeup etc.) Please try it for a video!

    Stairs are my ultimate weakness. Even at my best (which isn't right now lol), they left me out of breath. I also dislike burpees and jumping exercises.

      You can 'walk them out' till you get comfortable and ready to jump. So you just move your arms and legs without the jumping part/at a slower speed till it starts becoming easier.

      Find a small community center or rec center and usually it’s like 30-50 for the whole year and it’s small with basic equipment and not many people go there plus you could go strange hours when it’s empty 😂

      Adriana santos at first I thought I was going to be stared at because I was so young and just barely old enough to go by myself at the gym, but now I realize that that’s not true and I started getting more confident, my whole life my family made me eat so much that I gained more weight than my body could burn so I ended up being 200 pounds at 12 years old. Now I’m working to lose at least 60 pounds. I’m tired of being stared at and bullied for my weight, My family keeps telling me I shouldn’t lose weight and that I’m fine the way I am, but I’m doing this for me, it’s my choice, and if they’re cooking something above 500 cal then I’m going to say “no” and eat something else, even if they get mad or something (unless it’s my cheat day then I might eat it...).

    Oh my god sometimes indulging into your cravings is just normal! You have to live with it and accept it! Don't feel bad if you eat shit once!
    I Love how the instructor makes the diets according to everyones preferences! This gives everybody an extra edge to keep going with Their diets! Perfect! I think she is the only one who thinks about how the participants feel which is really AWESOME but also sad in a way!

      Hey just wanted to say that 142 for being 5'8 is a perfectly healthy weight, so don't stress about losing weight. If you want to work on your body and be healthy though that's awesome!

    Getting in shape was the best thing I ever did in my life. It’s always a rough start but after you break through the mental wall, exercising becomes like meditation. You become so in tune with your own body and it’s a wonderful thing.
