Road update 1 Nov 2024: Recently visited Bangalore to Mangalore Till Sakleshpur road were pretty good. Just after Sakleshpur end, and hill starts, roads are very bad, till the hill top, and than after again the roads are good. Again the road are horrible before reaching Mangalore for some 30-45 min, due to construction. Hope in 1-2 years, every road will be repaired
😂😂😂😂 dude any day charmadi road 👍 ,if u drive at 5am from either Mangalore or Bangalore you will reach either if the places in 6 - 7 hours peacefully with the vehicle having less wear and tear
I did go but by bus. I noticed it was a little better, not it’s nowhere close to being all good, yet. I would chose the recommended going via mysore. It’s a bit longer, but it’s much nicer Road.
I drove thru shiradi, the moment you see "Toll Road Ends" at Hassan the roads end. Too many diversions /single lane driving and heavy vehicle traffic all the way to BC Rd, will be taking Charmady on the way back

When u said Charmadi ghat is narrow I thought you were taking a Multi axle 16 wheel truck. The road is wide enough for your i20 😂

Whether we need to take nelamangala toll road or to take service road?

No you will have to go through ghat section on the Mysore - Mangalore road as well. That comes after Madikeri
It's sampaje ghat and it's a very good road and less traffic
