There is secret route that is as fast as the previous mentioned and with only 100 rs toll. After nelamangala toll, at yediyur take right to tiptur, arskire, banavar, kadur, bhadra wildlife sanctuary, thirtahalli, agumbe and then Udupi. 100% you will enjoy this coz it's something different to break away from the boredom charmadi and shirady.
@kripalamannavlogs my native is Maravanthe and my standard route for the last 5-6 years has been Bangalore-Tumkur-Hiriyur amd then left Manikanive gate then Hosadurga-Ajampura-Tarikere-Bhadra Wildlife-Thirthahalli-Agumbe Ghat-Ampar-Kundapura and thisbhas been amazing. Less traffic very convenient. And also thanks for all the food suggestions... We love it.❤

Offbeat but smooth 1. Bangalore-Shimoga-Hulikal Ghat-Siddapura-Kundapura or Barkur-Udupi-Mangalore. 2. Bangalore-Shimoga-Agumbe Ghat-(avoid Hebri-Manipal road as it's currently under works)Pethri-Brahmavar-Udupi-Mangalore
Now a days best route is Mysore, Madikeri and Mangalore. Both routes are very bad now hugh traffic. If it rains in the weekend it will be horrific. We usually hear about shiradi ghat in the rainy season closed.
Bangalore to Mangalore via Shiradi ghat the time is less as the highway is widened. I just drove from Mangalore to Bangalore via Shiradi is pretty good but the roads from BC road until Nelyadi in between the roads were bad also this time we skipped entering Shaklespur town skipped as the new road got opened for Public
Always Shiradi is the route we should take to Mangalore in my opinion whatever the condition of the road is coz its some kind of ritual sort of thing, but now they have widened the roads and all the greenery has decreased, its loosing its charm, but any day, any condition, my choice is shiradi. We can try other ghats, but shiradi is my choice for mangaluru

Kripal you rightly mentioned people are in hurry and HONKING though traffic is standstill not sure how they plan to drive thru not enjoying the drive but put everyone around to think. I do love driving Charmadi Ghat that is very scenic and great. 😊👍🚙
Very nice VLOG. Your presentation is pretty good. I have driven via Shirady Ghat. It is nice ghat section and it is pleasure to see sceneries and drive. Road is bit rusty in parts. I hope road work should get completed in near future.
Good video. I used to stay in Suratkal and travelled to St Aloysius College Mangalore daily. Used to travel a lot by bus from BOM MLR and BLR MLR to and fro.
Though a tad circuitous i prefer driving thro Kudremukh ....Bajagoli....Karkala ...Belman....Padubidri and then either towards Udupi or Mangalore.Traffic is sparse.... scenic drive....
Had a bad incident happen to me near Kanyadi. To people who are reading this. Please avoid Shiradi ghat route. Go via balehonnur, charmadi or madikeri.
I went through Shiradi Ghat in FEB. it was a nightmare. Once you are done with the Shiradi ghat section, the road is on and off and its full of big trucks. the last 150km is very exhausting. I'd honestly go to Mangalore via Udupi
After Hassan till Dharmasthala cross road is not in good condition. Specially at night towards Hassan from shiradi it's very difficult to drive. No sign boards No white lines on roads.. God knows when govt will fix it
If i have to travel from Bangalore to Karwar, the best and safest route will be Bangalore - Varur(near Hubli)- Karwar. Tried Madikeri route but its too curvy and small roads...
Thanks Kripal. I had been recently on this route. You have summed up my feelings aptly. But I was not aware of Lakshmi Nivas. Missed it. Very candid views.

Kripal Dada one request from my end. Can you please make some vlogs on typical road side Udupi style South Indian delicacies like mini idli sambar chutney, crispy dosas, sambar vadas, khara bhat, filter coffee etc. etc. I love to watch videos where the vlogger visits road side eateries selling the above mentioned breakfast items early in the morning. Please do a vlog on Bengaluru road side small thelas owned by poor hard working Ammas. Please Kripal Ji. 🙏
As predicted 2 episodes earlier, all coming vlogs for the next 1 years is going to be around the Jimny 😂 New toy new job. Loving it , keep anything coming.

Shouldn’t have taken diversion below flyover just before sakleshpura.. you should have climbed sakleshpura bypass flyover which is still under construction but open.
Hi Kripal Sir Im waiting for your return trip video, Today I took the sakleshpura route to Mangalore from hosur after 250km the roads are under construction To too many many Diversion, I left 5am from hosur reached Mangalore around 1pm, it's a good root the ghats were really lush green I enjoyed the drive apart from the new roads under construction , I suggest for now please don't use this route if it rains and water stagnant you won't know we're there are patches and deep water holes it's not safe after 6pm since the roads our under construction and specially after rain , this is based on my today's experience Thank you
Hey Kripal came back from Mangalore yesterday via madkeri, Mysore expressway, while going we took Shiradi ghat route, left Bangalore at 4.45 AM & reached Mangalore by 10.20AM.Just a 10 min stop at sakhlespur. The roads are bad but my Thar automatic just sails over it. We have tried the charmudi ghat earlier also which is more picturistic. You will enjoy the Madekeri route also ,but the cameras on the mysore expressway is going to take the enjoyment since you can't cross 100kmpl
Hi Deepak, yes, if you have a good suv, the bad road bits present no problem. Both Thar and Jimny will do equally well. I haven't done the Madikeri route yet, hoping to next time. As for the speed cameras, I usually coast around 100 or so. 😎
Shiradi route is shorter but there are patchy roads as the construction is going on still.......that will waste a lot of time......... Whereas, if you opt sampaje ghat route ( via Mysore, madikeri), you will take 1.5 hours extra as it is zig zag and 2 way road. However, if you travel from charmadi ghat route (via belur, Chikmagalur), the road condition is too good. Only challenge will be zig zag and unpredictable turn. Otherwise, it's very scenic and fun to drive 😊😊
I am not sure of the Madikere route as I haven't done that yet. However, I too would normally easily pick Charmadi over Shiradi. But it's not an easy call to make anymore as there's construction happening on the former route too, as youl will see in my next motorvlog in this series.
What about Bisile Ghat Route sir? It is isolated from Kukke till we reach the Bisile Ghat view point which is a concern during night travel. Traffic is less which is both advantage and disadvantage...
I would prefer Charmudi over Shiradi for a slow peace full drive in winter. Lot of people commenting on Mysore- Madikeri route but POV is completely irrelevant with this.
Can you please create with the help of your media team I.e list of hotels and eateries on the way to the destination along with links also in and around Bangalore so that if in case anyone who is traveling through may have the benefit from your data.
Just a small suggestion.. thanks for understanding. The reason behind is when your with your family and suddenly when there is demand for food it's hard to find good eatery place.
Hi Kripal.. I’m big fan of your contents 👏👏 Today how you missed the new bypass route of Sakleshpur .After Ossoor you have to take right turn on the highway itself..you will reach near Durga Grand in 4 minutes
I wish I got to view this video 3 days ago... I came back from Mangalore via B.C road and Nelyadi - shiradi ... B.C road to Nelyadi was a hell with so much big stretch of road repair once I reached Nelyadi I was in sakaleshpur with in 1 hour 15 min...
Let me tell y’all…I’ve been driving Blore to Mlore since the 80s…before the two laning and after……still can’t recommend which one best…..so what we do is whichever road is good condition😂….this is the only way….both routes have their beauty, very difficult to choose, coz u miss one…😊
Tbh for my style of driving, I find the power quite adequate. I typically keep my speed just around the triple digit mark, although on this drive I was hitting around 120 on some stretches and the car performed adequately, power-wise.
Hi Kripal Amana....... I and our family are lovers of road journeys. I got tempted to view this vlog of yours, away from your food ones though. Need you advice on this Shiradi route to Mangaluru. You say the ghat section is not much of bother and with very less climbs, etc..... pls tell me would it be very difficult for a cyclist to do this from Mangaluru to BLR, via Shiradi with the gradiant, ... would it be difficult to pedal up ? Also I would love to know of this same info on the Charmadi ghat route, when you are on your way back to BLR. Look forward....... Thank you, Keshavdas..... Vashi, Navi Mumbai.
Hi Keshavdas, I think the Shiradi route definitely has gentler gradients than Charmadi, although with plenty more traffic. Also the highway expansion on both routes at present (before the ghats if driving from Mangalore) don't make things easier. And if you're thinking of attempting this now, the effect of rains on some stretches would present challenges too. Hope this helps.
Good afternoon dear Kripal - Just returned home after my routine Sunday lunch with Dad. Now on to your vlog . So the question is to take the Shiradi or Charmadi ghat . Oh my look at the trucks literally running into you and can’t understand the right of way . MRPL was one of my key customers in my previous assignment. Some parts of the road is terrible . Now we have come to a good stretch 👌👌 Wow you have a phenomenal memory while driving on the Shiradi route . Ha ha that too fab Kripal . Like Google maps we need to have a Kripal food maps . This is brilliant you have been able to recollect each and every restaurant on either routes 🙏🙏 First pit-stop at Durga Shri mess in Sankleshpur . The waft of the aroma pulled you inside the eatery 😀 Time for some Bisi Bisi Mutton Biryani with Khaima Unde . Yes I was wondering why the colour of the Biryani is green in colour.and you immediately explained the reason . So happy to watch you relish the MB & CF 👌👌 I agree when there are fewer dishes and good quality and especially when one is hungry elevates the wholesome experience. Now that you have loaded with some good carbs & protein good to continue to travel to your destination. I agree with you ; enjoy the journey coz we all know our eventual destination. The suspension of the Jimny is quite good 👍. The drive on Charmadi is quite scenic, however this route is also quite beautiful 👌 Great camera work 👍 Did you mount the Insta 360 on the bonnet ? Yes this route is arduous because of the infrastructure development. Much needed break at KT to have the popular layered Tea and that “Aah”’says it all 😀😀 Next is the Rim Jim coffee ☕️ Whoa you are mixing your beverages . Anyways you know your body quite well 👍 Yes this route was arduous nonetheless good that you took the route 👌 Thoroughly enjoyed this vlog . Motovlogs are always fun to watch. Love the way you keep informing us about the pros and cons as you drive on such routes . It’s certainly informative and that would be helpful to many folks who intend to drive from Bengaluru to Mangaluru. Thanks so much for investing your time to put together such a detailed vlog on a route 💯💯💯 Take care & God bless 😇 Have a wonderful Sunday 👍 Tomorrow we have our voting in Mumbai . Loads of love & respect 🤗🤗🤗❤️❤️❤️
Hi Rajesh, hope all was well on voting day in Mumbai. Happy to learn you enjoyed this drive, stay tuned for the return trip through Charmadi. Should be out Sunday if all goes to plan. Wrt your query on the camera, it was mounted on the bonnet and the top as well. have a great week. Cheers!
@@KripalAmannaVlogs Good morning dear Kripal . Thanks for your reply .,Yes the voting process was smooth . Went quite early and I was literally the first one to cast my vote in my allotted voting booth . Wow you mounted the Insta on the bonnet & the top . Brilliant views from the Insta 👌 Look forward to part 2 of the vlog . Have a wonderful week ahead 👍👍❤️❤️

Keshavdas.....
Try hasanabba s hotel in charmadi. You get excellent neer dosey, kalthappa, and best one is mouth watering Disco fish. Try it.
Will try to meet you in Vijayanagar Mysuru on 24.05.2024... :-)
