  • In this video I share about how "Building a Second Brain" has helped me manage the way I consume knowledge or any type of content online (and often times offline). I discuss how this can this benefit you as a creative, filmmaker, painter, musician, photographer, etc. There is A LOT of information on this very same topic and on how to use notes in a smart way. It even seems that from the time I made this video to a few months later that I am releasing it, there's been a wave of TH-camrs and people speaking out about the importance of knowledge management through a Second Brain.
Tiago Forte is the guy you may want to research. He has a LOT of free and incredible information in his TH-cam channel:
    / tiagoforte
There is also a lot of practical things on his blog. You can start learning about PARA as an organization system here:

A LOT of free information on Building a Second Brain on Tiago's blog:

He's actually publishing a book in just a few months. This is NOT an affiliate link:

Honestly just by searching on TH-cam and Google you'll get a TON of stuff but I'll be glad to expand on this if you guys are interested.

Hi! I do have a video where I go a bit more in-depth on my organization of notes and mention some capture methods. Should make this whole idea a lot more clear and practical -> th-cam.com/video/kINHZaOBFI0/w-d-xo.html ... I do hope to make some more videos in the future where I talk about some other tools (like read-it-later apps, or how I use readwise together with Bear and Shortcuts, etc.) but if there's anything specific you'll like to hear would love to know! Thanks!

Hi Robert I hope you don't mind a question. I can't make the Apple shortcut to be called as you have show us when you select a text via a shortcut! Any clue please? Thanks

Hi! Is it the one for Bear and Alfred? This one: afadingthought.substack.com/p/note-taking-with-bear-and-alfred . One thing that has changed since I shared that Shortcut is that users have to go into the Shortcuts app Settings menu, go to the Advanced tab and select "Allow Running Scripts." This is necessary because the Shortcut uses AppleScript to grab the name of the source app where text is selected. This is the one thing that I can think of, but if this doesn't fix it for you let me know, and if there's any error messages that'd also help.
