Sounds nice it's exhaust manifold time and I was considering going with the sandersons because of its tight hug. It's a little loud for me so maybe I'll add the original resonators back

It's too loud for me. These glasspacks were loud when I finished this exhaust and they have only gotten louder since. I added two 9" Vibrant resonators upstream of the Cherry Bombs - they helped for a bit but the system is now back to being too loud. It's fine at cruise, but anything over 25% throttle, it's too much.
I'm thinking of going with Flowmaster Super HP-2 mufflers. I think they are still rather loud, but they've got to be quieter than these cherry bombs and the HP-2 will easily fit in the space I have.

Thanks! I installed Sanderson Headers with 3-inch collectors feeding a 2.5-inch full dual exhaust with an H-crossover pipe. I put 18-inch Cherrybomb glasspacks out back.
I cut, fitted and welded the entire exhaust system myself from the collectors back using various mandrel-bent sections. It came out a little louder than I wanted but I couldn't fit much more muffler under there anyway!

Do you have a cam in it? Or is that just stock?

    • @stephenabraham6787

The only thing remaining stock in the engine is the original 390-based block, but that is bored 0.030 over. The 4.250 stroker crank puts displacement at 445 c.i. The cam is a Comp hydraulic roller with larger than stock, but still fairly tame specs - single pattern 224°duration @0.050, .563 gross lift, 110° LSA.
