Plus with the revelation of him corrupting the Great Devourer, that event caused a chain event that set all the events that’s been happening throughout the entire series. -Garmadon got bit which led to the events of the pilot episodes and Season 1. -The Great Devourer’s venom got on the Stone Army which caused the events of the second half of Season 2. Then it all happened in Seasons 3, 4, 5, 6, Day of the Departed and Season 7. -Then since the Great Devourer attacked, it led to the events of the Oni Trilogy which the snake killed Harumi’s parents leading her to be the main villain of Season 8 and to resurrect Garmadon. -Then in all the WildBrain seasons, it’s led to this.
With Dragon Rising, It looks like Ninjago Lives On, But the Overlord will probably come back once they run out of new Villians, Or Prepare to end the seires for good.
I’ve gotta admit, I appreciate the different voice that Scott McNeil gave the Overlord in “Crystalized”. The deeper voice gives him a more ominous and threatening tone (compared to the shrill voice he had in seasons two and three). On a slight tangent, I also enjoy the Overlord’s design in this saga; the resemblance to Oni heightens the danger level while the black, gold and magenta hints of the armor all blend well together.
I think it should of been a mix of the original and what we got as well as the design is one I like but I think it should of had a little ok of the golden master with crystals forming in a similar shape to the golden armor as a outline like thing also some wings from his dragon form

I like how the overlord is just the perfect villain. He was never shown with any comedy, or anything to lighten the mood. He was just existing to be the god of destruction we all wanna see.
3:15 a weird thing, but it's the only time in Ninjago when The First Spinjutzu Master is on-screen called Lloyd's grandfather, ususally they just call him FSM, Wu and Garmadon's father or just say that FSM is related to Lloyd. Althogh i can be wrong and it's not be the first time, but it's still weird that FSM rarely is reffered to as Lloyd's grandfather.
Lloyd is always seen as Garmadon’s son or Wu’s nephew. He doesn’t have Creation or Destruction so the connection to the First Spinjitzu Master never needed to be elaborated since the power wasn’t shared beyond whatever the Golden form was in S2&3

A remember a while ago I would imagine a scenerio where the ninja would be just surrounded by vengestone and they have to somehow beat the villain(s). And sure enough, here is Crystalized.
I liked the higher pitched raspy version of the overlord from season 2-3 but the new lower more abrasive voice is so much better to me Just sounds so much more imposing and brutal than the original voice I can imagine the overlord shouting and raging at his enemies or his council in the old voice without his sound like a child throwing a tantrum
I actually prefer his Crystal king form over his previous 5 forms (Possessed Garmadon, dragon, virus and Golden master) it shows much treacherous, evil, manipulative and powerful he is inside 😈✌🏻😄

Now that’s a villain we’ve been waiting for the other one was presented as the big bad, but he only showed up for two seasons. It was such a disappointment, but this this was bad ass.
Not gonna lie I’m a little split on the voice. On the one hand, I do like how he sounds like an ancient evil god-like entity. But on the other hand, the original one sounded much more iconic and had a bit of a unique villain voice compared to the new one which as cool as it is, does sound a generic villain voice. Not saying it’s bad, just saying it sounds like a regular ancient evil voice.

I've watched season 2 and season 3 as well. I've also watched Ninjago Crystallized many times on Netflix. And you're right. He looks and is way much more menacing in the 15 season than he was at season 2 or season 3.

Since the Oni Trilogy is a thing i like it that the Over Lord now represents an Oni in Crystalized, he first was a Dragon in S2, then a Computer Virus which wanted the power from the First Spinjitzu Master, he then "came back" as an Computer Virus again just to end up as an "Oni" for now (Yeah he doesn't have a true form)

The Overlord is also universal. The First Spinjutsu Master created the entire realm of Ninjago, and Ninjago has Outer Space in it. I remember him is S2 and S3. I never saw this Overlord, but he looks much more menacing here.
I've watched season 2 and season 3 as well. I've also watched Ninjago Crystallized many times on Netflix. And you're right. He looks and is way much more menacing in the 15 season than he was at season 2 or season 3.

It's wouldn't be the Omega, because he is the leader of the oni. And the oni hates humans, so it's wouldn't make any sense that the Omega teamed up with a human being.

Since the Oni Trilogy is a thing i like it that the Over Lord now represents an Oni in Crystalized, he first was a Dragon in S2, then a Computer Virus which wanted the power from the First Spinjitzu Master, he then "came back" as an Computer Virus again just to end up as an "Oni" for now

The Overlord is also universal. The First Spinjutsu Master created the entire realm of Ninjago, and Ninjago has Outer Space in it. The Overlord was already perfectly equal to the First Spinjutsu Master, and then he took that power from Lloyd to become twice as powerful. If the Crystal King really is supposed to be his ultimate form, than it's stronger than even even his Golden Master form.@@GDStriker
