If you watched the first video of rise of snakes with Hypnobrais, you would see scales with normal feet instead of tail fighting Slithra, the actual Hypnobrai general. Scales won against Slithra and became the general, changing his feet into tail. I think Pythor criticized his footwork because he had feet and wasn't ever a general until he became the last snake.
Pythor has some major 'thinks and acts like he’s a genius mastermind but is actually stupid as fuck' energy, and that’s part of the reason why he’s so iconic
His biggest flaw is he doesn't really think things all the way through. Tried to resurrect a snake god to consume everything, not realizing it would consume him as well. Teamed up with a demon lord that, according to one of the show's creators, probably would have ended poorly once he outlived his usefulness. Went after the most powerful of the ninja and take him on in a one-on-one fight
Hear me out. Python went from Revenge to Dementia to Revenge with few steps of Honor to Dementia real quick and then to a Menace and then back to Dementia. That's how you can tell that Snake has lost it long time ago in that tomb Feels more like a mood swing between Dementia, Making villainy your average Tuesday or, I dunno. Scales is literally the underrated intellect and actual smart snake to establish less aggression to Ninja and outsiders.
Such an underrated villain. Hes competent and actually completed his goals, and his motivation was genuinely solid. He wasn’t evil and bitter just because; he had to watch his once proud race literally eat itself to survive. Honestly still my favorite one from the series (Morro and Nadakhan being tied at second). Still amazes me that this extended toy commercial has such a high level of storytelling.

Same there's still something about him all these years despite how many shows and movies I have watched. I think that's why I have him in so many chapters for my crossover fic! That I'm doing even in chapters where he only has two lines because Pythor is just fun to write in general.
I’ve always adored this character, his mannerisms, etc. but something I appreciate is he was actually somewhat competent, he did have some Saturday cartoon villain moments, but for the most part he actually achieved most of his goals and what he said he was gonna do

Pythor will always be one of my favourite villains of all time and He was and may still be my favourite character in all of Ninjago. I adored pythor throughout season 1 and when he was eaten by the devourer I was a little upset as i thought we just lost an amazing character. I still remember being over the moon the first time I saw him return in season 3, that was probably one of my most energetic reactions to a tv show ever. When he returned in season 4 I was just as happy as I was in season 3 and seeing him actually Do a good deed in that season was amazing. When he returned in day of the departed I had a full smile on my face. Then he did not appear again for quite a while and I was a bit worried that the writers forgot about him or something else happened to him off screen but now he's back in crystalized and I'm just as happy as I was all the way back in season 1.
There's villains you absolutely hate, there's villains that are so entertaining that you can't hate, and there are villains you empathise with Pythor falls into the 'so entertaining that you can't hate'. I appreciate that the Serpentine as a whole have hilarious and entertaining personalities, especially the NPCs
Villains I hate: Harumi, The Iron Baron, Omega Aspheera, Vex, Vangelis the Skull Sorceror, Kaillmaar, and the Overlord (kinda falls into too epic to hate). Entertaining villains: Literally all of the skeletons, Garmadon, Pythor, Kozu (I don’t know why but I always found him funny.), Cryptor, Mini Droid, Master Chen, Clouse, and the Time Twins. (You have to admit their dynamic is really good, even if their season sucked) Villains I emphasize with: Garmadon, Morro, Nadakan, and Unagami.
You know when pythor made his return in season 2 when he took off his hood, I thought at first as a kid when he said something about "fate", I thought his voice would still sound raggedy like it did in that moment, It makes me happy hearing that same voice from season 1
This is why pythor is my favorite character he never gave up on being evil at all he wants everybody to know this is what he likes to do for a living is the cause chaos
I agree and that's why I love writing him for my fic. A crossover fic with many characters interacting especially on the villains side. I find writing the ones who are evil for the sake of it easy because they joined the main villain simply because they get to be extra evil and do a bunch of damage to many places.
