  • The new Titleist TSR3 driver is the latest driver model from Titleist that offers superb performance and adjustability to the more devoted golfer. Of note, the Titleist TSR3 driver features a SureFit Weight Track on the rear of the clubhead, which allows golfers to adjust the center of gravity by moving a weight into one of five slots.
In this video, 2nd Swing's Drew Mahowald and Thomas Campbell test the Titleist TSR3 driver and the SureFit Weight Track by hitting shots in the neutral setting, the far heel (H2) setting, and the far toe (T2) setting. How much can the SureFit Weight Track on the Titleist TSR3 driver help dial in your game?

So I have a TSR 3 and was hitting a fade on all neutral which is my normal shot shape. I went to D3 on the hosel (1.5 up and +.75 loft) and that straightened it out pretty good. I did hit the ball slightly on the toe, much like this video, and moved the weight to T1 so the weight is behind my impact point. Doing that made the impact feel much more solid and the ball took off the face and felt like I gained some yards. Unfortunately I haven’t tested in a sim so I don’t have hard data but I’m impressed with what I’ve seen the few times I’ve been out this year.

Thank you , loved the content ,I just purchased the TSR3 with an upgraded shaft , but a big but I'm an average golfer with Average swing speed, haven't hit it yet ,few injuries, not sure why I pulled the trigger on the 3 instead of the 2 but fingers crossed ill have some improvements in my numbers, it would be interesting to have some kind of head monitoring on Thomas to see what his brain action is with each setting, it may happen some day, if we could only see confidence on a screen lol, Thanks guys always great content!!

awesome video. just found this after playing my TSR3 since last September. once again, I was custom fit at your Wilmington Delaware store by Tom Hannig. because my average strike pattern was 10 mm toe side, he custom ordered my TSR3 Driver at 45.5 inches with the slider in the T1 position so it’s directly behind my average strike location.
My TSR3 3 and 5 woods were custom ordered at minus 1/2 inch and the slider to be in the T2 position. ironically, last week, I hit my 5 wood, straight or a little push with the slider weight mistakenly in the H2 position. now it has me thinking since the 3 and 5 woods are both - 1/2 inch short, my ball contact position on the face should be more centered. need to test it out at the range to confirm

I think an interesting follow up would be the see the difference between the shaft adjustment at the hosel vs the weight slider. This test was surprising how much impact the weight at the back made. Wondering the difference between neutral slider and draw hosel against neutral hosel and draw slider. Fantastic content! Thank you!

Thanks for watching. My thought would be hosel adjustment mostly but the back weight provides extra security - Thomas

    @adammiller4044 ปีที่แล้ว +3

I read that the back weight is only 8 grams, so it's impressive that it's causing that much shot shape correction. The Ping G425 weight is 24g, and that has been great for me in the heel setting.

Keep in mind it's a bias it can help a little but compared to G425 I would assume more weight being shifted will provide the greatest chance for shot correction - Thomas

I’m planning on picking up a weight kit for my TSR3. When I had a stealth I took the stock 10g weight out for a 16g and the impact felt more solid.

Hi Thomas. Bit unrelated, but do you still do the speed sticks ? Ive heard different things about people loosing all there gains, as soon as they stopped doing them etc. Im willing to try it, but not really, if i have to keep doing it 3 times a week after the first 6 week program is done, to keep the gains

Not answering for Thomas… will give you my two cents after having worked through the SuperSpeed program for over 3 years…. After the initial phases are completed, there is a maintenance portion of the program that will help retain any gains. BUT, it would be highly recommended to supplement the program with mobility and strength training. I took it pretty seriously for a couple of years and went from a baseline of 110mph to the mid / high 120’s. There was a lot of pain to achieve those gains. Nothing is guaranteed and it will vary from person to person.

@@jvelez1998 Thanks for giving some info on it :)
Ive just done the first week. Did sunday, tuesday and thursday. Then ill rest till sunday and then start again
In the other days i go to gym 3 times a week, so its not just the speed sticks
Started out with 130 on the green stick sunday, and 135 as the highest today
Driver pre sticks was 117-119 and today i had a few at 125 after the session. So a solid increase in just 1 week
      Meassured on the PRGR

Good question. Ideally once you have a base to not loose all gains at minimum I would keep doing it once per week. I don't do it as often as I should and have lost a couple mph because of not keeping up consistently. You won't need 3x a week forever - Thomas

I wish you would have changed the weight for him and not told him what settings it was on to remove any subconscious desire to influence results

This thing is incredible. Don’t get the tsr2 the TSR3 is even more forgiving. It’s an absolute cheat stick. Ball speed out of the toe or heal is the same as the middle & it’s straight. I can’t miss fairways with it

You can’t really take anything away from this type of testing video at all really. Certain tests, yes, you can get an idea of trends based on the data with only 5 shots, but when testing something like this, you have to have more of a sample size. You’d have to hit more like 10 to 15 of each setting, then go back thru the settings again with 10 or so more shots. Not trying to be a hater or anything bc I do like a lot of the videos that y’all have, but stuff like this seems a little lazy bc you have the ability to edit and put together more informative data for people. Y’all kind of even acknowledged my point in the video too which just makes the video seem like it was just thrown together for clicks instead of actually trying to educate and gain people’s confidence in y’all’s information and testing. I say this with all due respect bc y’all have alot of great content that is way better and more informative and more thought out than this.
