      It's highly persecuted for good reason. There's so much wrong that goes on in church - Paul would rebuke many churches if he were present today. He demanded order. Was this orderly? Was it genuine? Were the tongues directed toward God like 1 Corinthians 14:2, or were they "prophetic"?

    I am extremely shy and won't openly interpret Tongues. I received the gift and am so thankful I received it but idk why me. I am scared and happy at the same time. I keep searching and learning and testing if it is real because I do not want to interpret God's words in the wrong way. It comes to me like a vision or words that are hard to understand and describe.
    I interpret the same thing as the interpreter in this video, but mine is in Indonesian

    • @GodsView1
      @GodsView1 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Just make sure the interpreter/people/church don't make the mistake of calling it interpretation of tongues if the content is 'God' speaking to a person/people like above, because the Bible reveals that a person that speaks in tongues speaks to God praises 1 Cor 14:16-17, v. 2, Acts 2:7-11, it is not God that speaks to man with respect to tongues. If God is speaking it would be like a prophecy or a Word spoken by Him & importantly a prophecy would be the common language that the congregation understands 1 Cor 14:4-5, vv. 23-25, so the video seems very dubious both for the target of the tongues (which should be towards God) and for why would a purported prophecy or word be in a language that presumably most do not understand there in light of the 1 Cor 14 scriptures where prophecy is for all to understand in the common language, so that all would be edified and the unbeliever/uninformed person becomes convicted as a sinner as a result. The other "alarm" bell in the video is that, God at the end of the english, if it is God, is saying His own name God as if a person is telling Him God, whereas the entire English before this is 'God' speaking to the people. Things don't add up at all in light of Scripture 🙏

    • @deborahmontano7729
      @deborahmontano7729 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Well said! Scripture must be followed and speaking in tongues is always edifying God and speaking of God’s praises. Nothing in the interpretation gave praise to God. This was a false interpretation that was praised by the congregation when it did not follow scripture. It should have been ignored and not accepted with praise to God.

    That is so encouraging to see proper use of prophetic tongues and then a prophetic interpretation that flowed from it. If we were to ask the one who got the tongue if that was like their prayer language they would say no...and that its quite different Likewise if we were to ask the one who had the interpretation if that was something they thought of? Again they would say no, but rather it flowed from the Holy Spirit.
    I am sure some may view this as disorderly but the opposite is true, if there you would sense God's presence and have a sense of encouragement and being built up. Yes it comes out a little rough and ready (for me that is a little indication that its the Holy Spirit speaking).
    This is evidently a mature congregation that follows scripture specifically 1 Cor 12-14 and is open to God and His scriptures.

      Tongues and prophetic tongues have ceased. God’s word is complete so there is no longer the need for the gift of prophecy and tongues.

    • @joshgellock
      @joshgellock ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@yonelrodriguez2031 not all prophecy was recorded in Scripture and to say otherwise is being disingenuous with the Scriptures. I'm sure Agabus had more prophecies than the one he gave Paul - he was called a "prophet" in the Scriptures, yet we only see him deliver one prophecy recorded in Scripture. And Paul said there were prophets in the body of Christ in Ephesians. The argument that we have the Scripture and don't need prophecy, or tongues, is an argument of silence. It's also quite contemporary and isn't an argument early-church theologians made.

    • @joshgellock
      @joshgellock ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @DinoNairobi, I say these things with grace and hopefully, you will receive them. Firstly, "prophetic tongues" isn't a "thing" taught in Scripture. When someone speaks in a tongue, they're speaking to God (1 Corinthians 14:2). This is reflected in Paul's teaching, and if you look in Acts. Tongues are directed toward God, prophecy is directed toward men. They are different gifts and have different functions.
      Paul's teachings on orderly worship are not his, but the Lord's (1 Corinthians 14:37). Paul commands order - it's not suggested. And, as I've asked before, I'll ask again: if an unbeliever walked in, would they think what took place was orderly? Or would they be freaked out? Probably the latter if we're being honest. This is a disorderly service, plain and simple.
      Lastly, I have to correct you on the idea that tongues is "the Holy Spirit speaking". Paul clearly says, "If I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays" (1 Corinthians 14:14). It is not God speaking, it is your spirit speaking.

    • @yonelrodriguez2031
      @yonelrodriguez2031 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@joshgellock believing stuff like is is how false doctrines and cults have been created. God is telling one person one thing, but then telling someone one else something different?? No, we have the full revelation of God in recorded in the Bible. I’ll stick to God’s word.

    • @joshgellock
      @joshgellock ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@yonelrodriguez2031 you can believe whatever you want - it doesn't mean what you believe aligns with God's word. There were obvious prophecies and tongues and interpretation happening at Corinth and other churches, according to the Scriptures. And yet, somehow we don't have those recorded in Scripture. Every prophecy or tongues and interpretation that comes from God (the Holy Spirit) must align with the Scriptural rules, but not everything God does is always recorded in Scripture. To say otherwise is again, disingenuous.
      Cults are formed for a variety of reasons. The only cult that I've seen associated with tongues would be the Oneness Pentecostals. True they get tongues wrong, but I myself don't see droves of cults being formed by tongues. But I'm human and finite. There may be others I don't know about.
      Lastly, there's a lot of pride on this particular topic. Cessationists refuse to accept the idea that God still moves through vocal gifts and many charismatics don't operate in an orderly way. I try to reason from the Scriptures and when I examine them honestly, I don't see a reason to think vocal gifts stopped. Many churches need correction in the operation of gifts (like what happened with Corinth), but the other side of the coin forbids tongues (even though Scripture says not to do this). Differences of opinion, and false doctrines are fine lines. I take Paul's approach: let things be done in order. You can usually spot the fake because they simply don't follow order. And when you confront them on it, they rebel and say they don't need to be orderly.

      Tongues are known foreign languages. Acts 2. Pentecost. You have the biblical descriptive of what it is right there. Babel set language barriers, the gift of tongues reverses that by allowing them to speak to other peoples in THEIR OWN languages to start the Kingdom of God. This was foundational work in establishing the Kingdom. God was taking back the nations. These people needed to have the gift of speaking to people about Jesus in or from other nations who spoke different languages. It was a sign to unbelieving Israel, since they always insist on signs 🤦🏼‍♀️, that God was extending the Gospel to all nations and not just to them. It was a fulfillment of the prophecy in Isa 28:11-12. Where did all the signs happen? Whenever Jews were present.

And all this coming from a born Pentecostal (born on a different continent that is in a distant time) And u know how condensed time is nowadays - in less than 5 yrs kids went from 0.05 to 23% who claim they are affiliated with LGBTQ++.
      This is exactly what is happening in the church today, Sodom and Gomorrah on steroids! The great falling away is here. The duo is nothing but 2 wannabees trying to create an illusion of an apostolic church setting or trying to recreate some past glories. Whatever essence, if they had any, is long past and anybody with an ounce of discernment can see right through the faccade. These people need to seriously repent if they are not past the point of no return already.
      Yes indeed, God speaks one word and we can write an entire (incomplete) book on it and NOT the other way around. Never!

    Ummm, this sounds like a guy just repeating the same 7- 10 syllables for 30 seconds as a “plant” in the audience followed by some dude’s so called translation in order to try to create some validation for this weird practice. Don’t get me wrong, i believe in God too but this felt scripted like the final act in a magic show or something. I’d believe this if real Hebrew or Latin or any real language could be verified from someone who did not know that language but sha- ba-lalala is not going to do it.

      i mean this is biblical. its in the text. 1 corinthians 14. why would they need an interpreter if it was in a known language. its not a plant. i have personal friends that God has used in the gift of tongues and interpretation. i understand the concern people misuse tongues all the time. but people also misuse the bible all the time. if you discredit tongues because bad people take advantage of it maybe throw the whole baby out with the bath water and get rid of the bible as well. i think if we can just realign ourselves to scripture maybe we can see revival like the book of acts.

      Yes, the words were spoken angrily and it was gibberish. Didn't sound as intelligent as any real language. Then the "interpreter" gave a much shorter "interpretation" than what was shouted out. Plus, the pastor has the spirit of a covert narcissist, and they like to put on their magic shows. No Holy Spirit here. I do know a Bible teacher who is authentic and he has shared his speaking/praying in tongues, which he's been blessed with since he was 18. He's very humble and appropriate about sharing it. That's David Servant, on TH-cam. It can be real. It is for today, but the Holy Spirit chooses who He blesses, is my understanding. We can pray for and seek to glorify God, and ask for these blessings of being baptized in the Spirit and the gift of Praying and Speaking in Tongues.

    Acts 2:1-11
    And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, OUT OF EVERY NATION under heaven. Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them SPEAK IN HIS OWN LANGUAGE. And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans? And how hear we EVERY MAN IN OUR OWN TONGUE, WHEREIN WE WERE BORN? Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia, Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes, Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in OUR TONGUES the wonderful works of God.
    These are earthly languages. The Apostles needed to spread the gospel to all nation and did not have the time to sit down and learn languages before they set out for this undertaking. So what happened is that they spoke in their own language and the Spirit of God translated their utterances to the language of the foreigners that heard it.
    We have to read scripture instead of enaging in spiritual fraud.
    1 Corinthians 14:21
    In the law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord. Wherefore tongues are for a sign, NOT TO THEM THAT BELIEVE, BUT TO THEM THAT BELIEVE NOT: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe.
    So how is speaking gibberish going to impress an UNBELIEVER? Notice, church folks only speak in tongues around their own in defiance of scripture. Now if it is a sign to unbelievers, wouldn't it make sense to be a HUMAN language? Think about it, if a five year old English speaking girl, tells a Chinese man in perfect Cantonese that Jesus loves him and will give him eternal life to the utter shock of her mother, that will provoke faith. However if she babbles mindlessly, the man will think it is typically childish behavior. In either case, he won't be wrong.

    The person "speaking in languages" sounds angry - I don't know that I'd want to be sitting next to him. Also, how is this orderly in any way? The guy at the podium doesn't seem finished, and all of sudden, we have a "message in languages". Be honest: if an unbeliever came in and saw this, would they know what is going on? If your answer is no, then this church and its leaders should be corrected.
    There should at the very least be additional context offered to all who are present. Can the man not come up from the assembly and speak his "languages" into a mic? And before then, can someone not explain that we have a brother who feels he would like to share a prayer in languages? The Spirit of God does not author confusion and when we are moved by the Presence of God, we do not act as one overtaken. He can hold his prayer in languages until reaching a microphone. Why would God call us to order through scripture only to move us to disorder during the assembly?
    I'm sure a lot of people might say amen to this video, but how much more would they rejoice if it were done more orderly as Paul commands?

      Agreed. Seemed so out of place and odd. When I read Paul in I Corinthians, they were a messed up church and doing things wildly and unorderly. The passages where Paul corrects them, I picture an ordered and peaceful service, where communion is given, hymns are sung as a chant, someone would have a word of knowledge or real tongues and then an interpretation in a peaceful way. What's in the video just seems out of order and a unsettling.

    People need to be careful when talking about The Holy Spirit, speaking so flippantly. Ehat if youre wrong. Its blasphemy against the holy Ghost. Saying it in love. what you're saying I say it in love. Fair enough you don't believe, you have your opinion, but tread gently when talking about the things of the Holy Spirit. What if you're wrong?

    The gibberish and “interpretation” here, is a mockery of Acts 2:1-3. The Men were able to speak other ACTUAL languages, by the spirit. They didn’t just speak random, nonsensical sounds, like you hear in a Pentecostal church.
    Nor did ANYONE need one of them to stand up, and act as an interpreter.

    They weren't just making up some language it was actual language and dialects.....I'm so glad I left Christianity and follow only The Most High Yahuah his Son Yahusha and the scriptures keeping to the best of my abilities his Laws(only law we don't keep is sacrifice)statues and commandments
    Acts 2:6-11 Amplified Bible (AMP)
    And when this sound was heard, a crowd gathered, and they were bewildered because each one was hearing those in the upper room speaking in his own language or dialect. They were completely astonished, saying, “Look! Are not all of these who are speaking Galileans?
    Matthew6:7And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.
