I've been dying to hear Pageau talk to Forrest Landry about choice/decision/free will, Love vs Fear/Good vs Evil (Forrest describes love as: That which enables choice). It seems to me that a key part of creativity/creation is an expansion of our ability to choose/options available..
You blew my brain out of my head with the first part of your answer. God made us to partake into His concept of creation, to be creators of good. That makes so much sense of artists like me. Praise God.
paraphrasing another author, the same thing that gives us our free, imaginative, and creative wills also allows us to make up false realities and live as if they are true. So we sin by not worshipping the true God in spirit and truth but also by our actions while imprisoned by our own false narratives. Part of redemption is being conformed to the truth...and living like it
I tend to believe that we have no choice between good and evil. We only get to choose whether we live in a way that brings us closer to good or evil...But that is to say that I believe there is a grave danger in deciding what the fruits should be rather than simply tending faithfully to the plant.
@@vagabondcaleb8915 if we didn't choose we wouldnt be held responsible and there would be no sin for us. Like the animals for example are guiltless because they can only follow their instincts/nature. We are made in God's image which means we have the ability of free will that is dependent upon our person, personhood is something we received from God aswell.

Is the Mormon claim that in the world to come Christian’s can create universes and create out of nothing ex nihlo? I can see how we are helping to create this world NOW. But what are the limits of what we can create in the escaton? I really need clarity on this from the Orthodox Church’s perspective. Thank you.
I believe that it's the Mormon doctrine that nothing can be created truly ex nihilo, neither at the beginning or the next life. Matter and intelligence would be eternal according to them
@@LadderOfDescent A) I'm not Orthodox so I'm not going to speak for the church, but B) I imagine it's pretty speculative either way. I haven't read much from Orthodox or non-orthodox sources that are very confident about the mode of life in the age to come, other than that we will be with God, there will be no sin, and we can trust that the plans God has for us are better than anything we can dream I'm curious, is there a reason this particular issue is vexxing you?
@LadderOfDescent No, we don't believe we will create universes out of nothing. There is no verse to support this. To us, this seems like what the Snake was saying about becoming gods after eating the fruit. Also I think that Mormons believe God was like a man before he became God somewhere if I am not mistaken. They also belive that Jesus is angel Michael and the brother of Satan. Crazy stuff.
