Thanks for your post on the Cambridge Pitt Minion Bible. I have a Pitt Minion Bible with a Black Morocco leather binding. I purchased it in June 1963. Within two years it travelled with me from Illinois to Texas, then west to San Diego, Ca. I flew from San Diego to Honolulu, to Wake Is an on to Guam. While based in Guam we patrolled the Marianas Is, Bonin Islands including Iwo Jima then to Yokohama Japan. After returning to Guam we cruised south to the Caroline Is from Palau to Truk Atoll. Later we sailed to Sydney Australia, then to Pago Samoa and back to Pearl Harbor. From Pearl Harbor we were deployed to Vietnam where we spent the better part of a year cruising from the DMZ then south along the coast of Vietnam into the Gulf of Thailand to Phu Quoc Island just south of Cambodia. I have continued to use this bible in 2023 and it remains in great condition with no signs of wear.
Great review. I just got 2 Goatskin pitt minions in both ESV and NASB translations. I spent days trying to choose between the pitt minion and the clarion but in the end I think the portability and the fact that small, slimline bibles are easier on my small hands and easier to read/hold while reading in bed will serve me well, I have no problems reading even 5 point font so the 6.75 of the pitt minion is perfect. Once I get serious in my studies I'll pick up a wide margin.
What a great review! Don't recall ever seeing a video of how an expensive Bible held up after a year or two of heavy use! Probably because many "Christians" don't put them through much use.
Have been following you on here for quite some time. I appreciate your reviews and love your sermons. Your review of the Pitt Minion convinced me to buy one and I must say, Wow, what an awesome Bible! Thanks for all you do and letting the Lord lead you
I love the look of this Bible. My only concern is that I am dependent on reader glasses for the most part, now, when reading. I'm scared it's going to be difficult for me to read this Bible, but I also don't want to miss out, incase it is doable for me.
I am Not an Arminian but taking a verse which literally is talking about 1 person and applying it to every person is bad theology. Jhn 12:32 - And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. God. CAlls all people but not all are saved. So clearly people have to decide. Not to mention verses like Act 7:51 - Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye. Irresistible grace of tulip doesn’t quiet work with a verse where people resist???
Very cool to see. I love to see worn Bibles. It's good to know that a paste down binding will hold up after 2 years of heavy use, even folding it in half! You don't see a lot of videos of worn out premium Bibles, probably because a lot of us keep changing Bibles so much lol. The longest I've used a single Bible before switching was 6 months. The first time was my Allan NCR. But then I switched to the ESV Quentel for the better reading experience. As of the 16th of August it will also be 6 months of daily use with my ESV Quentel, and I hope I continue and don't switch to another. By the way, I see you're a Presbyterian pastor. Are you part of PCA? I'm a member of a PCA church.
That verse reads she already worshipped the Lord. He opened her heart in regards to ministering to things related to what Paul was doing. It’s not saying he changed her heart to receive the gospel.
@@brettsinyard1810 if you believe that then you should read the verse in context instead of cherry picking the verses to make them adhere to your doctrine.
Thank you for this video. I’ve been worried about taking my Pitt Minion anywhere other than Church. Thanks to your video, I now see that I can really use my Pitt Minion without fear! 😊😊😊 P.s Do you have any recommendations for highlighting in this Bible? My main Bible is full of highlights, now that I see how durable this Bible is I really want to highlight key verses.
pastor matt , if you had a choice between a pitt minion, cameo, tbs compact Westminster or a church bible publishers cameo version , which would you choose for everyday use to carry around and read. I have a wide margin concord i keep all my notes in
great video! nice re-review, lol. I was wondering if you could review the heirloom single column legacy. plus, heres the video for how it's made: www.crossway.org/blog/2016/04/how-an-esv-bible-is-made/

Seeing how worn and well used this bible is made me smile. God bless 😊

Nice to see a Bible review of a non-brand new one.

Thank you for the great review, nice looking Bible! That’s what us Arminians call Prevenient Grace 😉

I find that the paper in the calfsplit seems to be a higher weight than the goatskin. Is that possible?

Love your Calvinistic plug. Good stuff, man.
what version?
❤️ this video. What a treasure. Nice plug for Calv!
I cringed when you folded it back like that.

Nice Bible review. But you won’t convince me of Calvinism with that verse :) Peace
