Hey, So I have a Chevy Malibu 2016 and had my mass air flow sensor and air filter replaced yesterday but my check engine light is still on along with code P1101... What should I do now?
Ash-Lo Thanks for watching & we hope the video helped. We recommend disconnecting your black NEGATIVE cable from your battery & letting it sit in the disconnected configuration for 15 minutes. This will allow your system to reset. After 15 minutes, reconnect black negative cable to battery. Next...start engine & drive vehicle to a point where you can exceed 15 mph. At this point all systems and sensors will be communicating to the onboard computer & if all systems and sensors are properly configured, your check engine light should turn off. If check engine light does not turn off, you may need to visit your local AutoZone and have them reset your check engine light with their OBD scanner. AutoZone does this for 100% free.
