  • @tabithablalock

    I just started using the square app for my craft fairs for credit cards. It was easy to set up and use, but my only question, is there a way to put my raw cost in each item? That way, after an item sells, I can see how much I made off of it?

    Okay so I am really bad at this pleasr don't judge 😅 In Indiana sales tax is 7 percent. The thing I am selling is 10 dollars so what would I want to charge?

    • @PrettyFabulousDesigns
      @PrettyFabulousDesigns  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Wow - this looks like a math problem which is literally my worst subject - you should check with a sales tax expert or use Taxjar. Good luck XO Lisa

      @@PrettyFabulousDesigns 7% of $10 is $.70. So they would charge $10.70 or round up to $11.00.

      @@Sewlady718 do we charge taxes based on the state, or city we are selling in? I'm just starting my business but I am so confused on the sales tax portion

    • @Sewlady718
      @Sewlady718 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Adriana Gavilan Aguilera Both. Your state has a sales tax and usually there is a county and city tax. Your state should have a website for taxes which usually includes income taxes, sales taxes and any other applicable taxes. In New York it is the New York Franchise Tax website. I file my taxes online yearly. How often you file is based on your annual sales whether it’s monthly, quarterly or yearly. Let me know if you have any other questions.

    • @katiarici3622
      @katiarici3622 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      First we want to find what is 7% of $10, and to do that we convert 7% to a decimal which makes it .07 and we multiply it by the $10.
      $10 x .07 = .7
      .7 is 7% of $10.
      Finally add .7 to the $10
      $10 + .7 = $10.7
      You would charge $10.7.
