I just looped green ridge two days ago, what an insane view for 9 miles...I would recommend the very north section/start of the green ridge trail, it's the prettiest section and totally doable on a rigid bike.

Did a road ride today with the club-our numbers weren’t as impressive as yours: 47.85 miles, 2 hours 44 minutes rolling time, and 1,184 feet of elevation-it’s pretty flat around here…….
Dude. I’m glad I’m not the only one having issues with the katadyn be free flow rate! Mine recently just slowed way down. Still, faster than my old sawyer but slower than it was for the fire ten or so liters. I havnt even filtered dirty water, always very clean creek water
I got my back up to high flow rate. Back washing it at home with the sink water as fast as it will go, and fill the bag with some water shake the living hell out of it. THese 2 tricks should help!
@@EverythingsBeenDone Mine has failed me twice when I was counting on it for big rides... I think it clogs from hard water evaporating during storage. I've read to run distilled water through it before storage to prevent calcification. Or wet storage: What I do is leave it in a mason jar filled with distilled water and a half capfull of bleach. Just pull it out, rinse it off and run a bag of water through it before my trip, then plop it back into the mason jar after I'm home. So far so 👌
That looks like an absolutely awesome ride. What a way to end it with the cold water, beer and then a warm shower. Dig it. Oh, and the Coconut Chocolate for the win. Woop! Nice job, DK.

Dustin, used the BeFree for 14 days straight on the CO Trail in 2020. The only way to really get the flow back is to fill it half way and shake the shit out of it for about a minute.
With the Katadyn, have you given the filter filaments a go swish and shake through clean water? You can't really backflush them, but the swishing is the supposed way to clean the filaments.
Nice ride, can you give us your thoughts on the Pirelli tyres and maybe a Moustache based series hosted by Ron - general tips on moustache growing and maintenance? Thanks DK always from an Englishman in England.
Exposed roots, baby heads, death cookies, fire trails that will rattle your fillings loose. This ain't your father's gravel ride. Thirty-plus years ago, my first MTB was a steel-frame Trek with no suspension. It does my old heart good to see people riding single-track (or no-track) like this.
I forget sometimes that when forests burn in other places all the trees die. I’m used to Australia where unless it’s a really bad fire the trees don’t die. Great video as always.
@@falcoperegrinus82 yeah. Other thing here is the trees stay standing even if they die so you get like silver dead trees and undergrowth. It would be extremely unusual for the trees to be gone like that after a fire.
