    I have the icon stage 7 with total chaos race front lower control arms standard length. 1 1/4 wheel spacers bmc and milestar 34 inch MT tires. It works great. But you're absolutely right about heim joints making a lot of noise. Sometimes it sounds like something is wrong. But they just make noise.

      Thanks for watching and sharing! Sounds like an awesome lift setup you got there. And yes, heim joints do offer more travel but indeed have the probability of becoming squeaky! There are almost always trade offs when it comes to aftermarket mods.

    I made the bad mistake on putting on a pro comp 6 inch lift that was recommended by a local so call expert shop in my area. all though no issues with the lift, I have to have custom skid plates made because of the cross member up front. Stick with the basic 3 inch lift if your pockets are not deep. Great video by the way.

    I was off-road driving in sedans tell we got an FJ. I can put a 4 door 2 wheel drive car down a bad road. I have hit bottom with my truck once. I was going around a rubicon to aid it and slipped off a rock. I had to drop a few rocks in the hole and we helped that Jeep. I’m factory. I drive with 2 shovels, 2 8 tun chain winches, 2 lift jacks, and water and food

    Awesome video. Lots of information that will help me with my future build down the road. I am currently running a 3.75 inch Sonoran Steel lift kit that has parts from different companies. Its been a great addition to my FJ for 7 years now with zero issues even while running 35s after i got the body mount chop. Its my daily driver and i take it off-roading twice a month however I am looking into upgrading to a smoother suspension at some point since I plan on using it more for overlanding which is gonna add that much more weight to the vehicle. Great content in the video.

    Your videos are excellent. I recently changed my factory shock absorbers to RANCHO brand shock absorbers that have adjusters to make the suspension from soft to very hard and they raised the height about 2 inches as well. I have the problem that one side of my Fj is 1 inch higher than the other, what should I do to level it?

    Hi there Hayden and everyone, amazing videos man very helpful and entertaining. I recently became the proud owner of an 07 FJ 6spd 4x4 TRD came with Bilstein struts and shocks. After watching your vids I want to replace the coils in front and rear and I’ll keep. The Bilstein shocks front and rear. I’m trying to accomplish the 3 inch lift, what coils should I get to best complement the Bilstein shocks in my Fj? Thanks

    Awesome video, I wish I saw this a year ago lol. I have the 3" ARB OME with stock UCAs and 285/75/17s. Those are 33.9" and I want to go to a clean 35." Your video helped me understand more. I have the 1.25" spidertrax spacers because my tire chains rubbed on my UCAs but since, I have to do 2 BMCs, pound pinch welds, cut plastic and it is still rubbing. Maybe new UCAs will solve, not sure. I am also going to adjust the camber.

    Very informative thank you, I drive a 2013 with a 2” Fox coil over and with 285/70/17 tires and really love the ride. With all the added weight (front and back bumpers and the heavy roof rack) I fell that I need a bIgger brakes, what is your opinion. Thank you,

    • @FJX2000_Productions
      @FJX2000_Productions  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah with more weight you could probably use better brakes so you get your stopping power back and closer to stock. They do sell front big brake kits for the FJ but I've never looked too much into doing ot for myself.

      @@FJX2000_Productions Other than travel and being more robust, it would be great to know what difference can be felt in normal offroading. I wish to take my dog off roading with me but he gets shaken around so much it adds alot of stress. Is there something that would reduce the general bumpyness when not on obstacles, just going over small bumps, rocks ETC.

    • @FJX2000_Productions
      @FJX2000_Productions  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@kalebmorrison9317 sounds like the actual shocks would make the biggest difference for this. Perhaps having 2.5" reservoir shocks with adjustable dampening would help? Not totally sure but it could make a difference.

      Old Man Emu is a classic setup but I prefer an adjustable lift so something from ToyTec is good as it won’t break the bank but gets the job done. But if you want to spend more money for higher quality lifts there are plenty out there

    As a warning, on road IFS without a anti-roll (sway) bar can be very dangerous. Off road it can be to at high speed, but most people who remove them do it for crawling. Just keep safety in mind when doing suspension mods.

      Any 2-3" leveling kit should work on a 4x2 FJ just as it would a 4x4 FJ. And that should allow you to clear 33s like a 285/70R17 tire.
