I do not want children. Love them. Have no desire to have one. If I ever change my mind I will adopt. In the mean time I want to travel and help children that are already on the planet that need help. No need to have more when there are so many who need help.

I just hope society would normalize women who don't want children. I have always known that motherhood is not for me and even at 24 I cannot picture myself with a child. Stop glorifying motherhood and giving birth is not the ultimate aim of a woman's life.

Ma Parvati had said that without being a mother a woman's life isn't completed and if it comes on glorifying motherhood yes we will gloryify not only motherhood but also parenthood cause God and parents are the same and infact lord Shiva wished to have a mother also so today's modern so called "culture" is saying that we should not gloryify motherhood and parenthood without those parents you wouldn't be here.

I don’t have an issue with glorification of Mother’s but I don’t think a women who is childfree should be shamed. I’m childfree and I’m happy I made That choice. Once you have a child you can’t give the child back. I would not want my child to be adopted or put into foster-care.

@Plamen Stoev The thing is it doesn't matter where people are being born - they'll still be included in the 8 billion people on the planet who have to survive on it and impact it. Which country the people come from is not as relevant as how many people there are in total. A lot of people use this argument but it's closed-minded. What we do affects us all, not just the borders or culture we live within. And the idea that we need to replace ourselves (2 children to replace 2 parents) and sustain the current population isn't really necessary. We don't need to replace a population of 8 billion people.

However you too will come to know what is running in their mind, directly or in directly. Catch hold of it and analyze . How ever if they agree or not , you have to make your own decision and first of all you have to be independent financially, physically, emotionally and mentally . Till that you have to wait, some how or just drag the days. To be ready to stay independent , life long also. If they didn't agree. Ultimately it all depends on our past kamma / merits. Sincerely putting effort in any matter , which is right according to you - is okay. At the same time, it must be in the right path. Every one thinking, behaving differs . Due to their past track records. Every one is born due to their own kamma. Now it has to be nullified by doing good deeds. For that, time, energy, patience is needed. No one in this whole universe, can give time for us . We have to make time for it .Parents are only mediators to come to this world according to our past life kamma. Just you go through buddha's teachings ( natures law ) , once. I wanted to listen to this as I am Indian and married for 6 years now. We both don't want child but the society and people can't accept the fact. Few days back one sanyasi who is our relative called us and said if my husband doesn't have a child then he is not paying "pitririn". And said if my husband is not capable of being a father then he should appoint someone from his family to do the task with me. What a shame!!!In 2022 when there are so many ways to get a child how can some sadhu say this???
Thanks for the speech, I needed to hear this. As when most of the people continuously say the same thing, at one point it makes me think that I am not doing the right thing 🙏

Our parents must listen to this and respect and accept our decision to not to have a Child. Me and my husband decided long back that we don’t want children. Our parents they just keep pushing and they can’t accept that this is a choice. I love Mother Earth and the way humans are handling it, soon mother nature will show her way to recover from the damage we as human beings are doing . We should become conscious about our planet and at least try to save our home before it’s too late.

It doesn't matter if a species is endangered or not - they all suffer in life in one way or the other if they are born into it - all life should be discouraged from procreating.

I do wish we had a separate one aha, but our award for now is the lack of stress, lack of lack of sleep, ability to pursue interests at most given times, to be more financially and emotionally secure, freedom to travel and for plenty other things, spontaneous trips, etc etc etc.
      :))))

This man is speaking some amazing words, he is so wise
we are overpupulated as is and driving other animals to extinction. prices getting higher everything is rising becasue it is getting hard to supply everyone.
people who wanan be childfree must be awarded and people who adopt should be awarded even more

@Shapyra While I don't have children myself, I do agree that, sometimes, adoption is better than procreating.

One can NOT only mother/father a child, we have to learn to be a mother/father to projects, siblings, friends , pets , projects, stop feeling like the earth is our mother and that it needs to take care of us, imagine what will happen if we treat the world like our little baby 🥺😍🤗

I go one step further and dare to say that we are the parent/creator of every single sentence and deed, every day of our lives, those sentences and deeds have ripple effects and impact other lives.
