thanks zane. the back hoe attachment is handy its also infuriating to run. doesn't have joysticks each function is on its own leaver and having to get off and get in the skid steer every time you have to reposition is annoying. im pretty sure one of those Chinese auction mini excavators would out dig it. but at the same time its easier to haul a attachment with you than a entirely separate machine that's the back hoe attachments only saving grace otherwise i would have sold that pile of sheet a long time ago...lol.
Thank you. Yeah I think it was about 280 tons I had hauled in and a lot of it is barely thick enough to just keep it from getting greasy when it rains. The ground holds weight well. There is a lot of rock and gravel in the clay just gets a bit greasy when wet. I'll be adding more gravel in the future
Yes plans include a cabin build. That's probably a couple years out though I'll be putting in a camper that will stay there as the temporary cabin until then it's going to go on the opposite side of the foot bridge but the cabin build will end up being in a completely different part of the property most likely
i love it there. i lived in the bowling green area for a while when i was younger and my brother still lives down that way. this video and the camera really doesn't do the area justice.
heavy rains are fine iv got all the water directed where it needs to go. the bigger problem is the water table is really low when i tried to dig in a septic tank for my camper down there i hit water within a few feet everywhere i tried to burry it. iv got another camper now that's going to stay down there im going to cut another road into the other side of my walking bridge and put that camper on a bit higher ground over there. but i think the eventual cabin build is going to go in a completely different area of the property. but this is still a really nice spot and you can get vehicles in and out of the property before that there was no where on the property that was accessible besides on foot or 4 wheeler.
it held up find when the hurricane hit the region this summer. granted it lost some steam before it hit my property but still was a very strong storm with lots of rain.
Do you know of a good place that stocks culvert pipes down there at a reasonable price? I could use a few more but don't really want to haul them down with me again
@@Ezrider359 menards (near Louisville) and there's a few places up around Cincinnati depending on the size. I can call around, I've got a buddy that does dirt work and see who he gets em from and if there's any price breaks
You may want to try and stay as high as you can, those little streams might swell bad during a down pour. Looks like a cool off grid location👍, might come in handy 🙂.
The pad is several feet above the stream bed and it's mostly spring fed. It does collect some runoff but flows are not extreme in heavy rains. The bigger issue it the water table in that spot is very high the eventual cabin build will end up being in a different location on the property
Nice job, Ezra 😎👍 Didn't know you had the backhoe attachment for your skid steer. That ALWAYS comes in handy. Great looking RV spot my friend

Awesome
Looking forward to this series too.
Ezra, that's a beautiful piece of land. Can't wait to see more videos . That's a lot of gravel.

I live in Ky, you look like you'll fit in. This increases the chances of you running into me and buying me a steak and a beer. JK
Excellent job Ezra, Well Done
Your east Tennessee neighbors welcome you!
Well, that’s cool, neat video. Nothing like a getaway in the woods.
I agree, nothing beats the peace and quiet of the woods.
Looking good, it will be a nice getaway!
Nicely done! Tidied up nicely! Full steam ahead! Cheers!;-)!1
Wow what a butifull still place you got there EZ , you going to love it great video ...
Cool project 😎 i bet it's really beautiful in the spring and summer months
It is. I should have included some summer time pictures at the end
Great video!
Might not look like it, but that's a lot of work! Are you planning on building a cabin on that land in the future?

As a Kentuckian I'd like to say welcome to the state, you'll not find a prettier place to live or visit.👍🏻

Besides working on the equipment my next favorite thing to do
Liking the new videos
Bit of a drive from ND to KY but KY has some beautiful country. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.
sometimes having a place far away from north dakota is a good thing
nice land enjoy
😎👍
Great spot
It has a lot of potential.
Only problem I see is that you probably want to be on higher ground, there's going to be a lot of water coming at you during heavy rains trust me.
