      @@co7366 instead of kicking to make a good hit I don't understand why he didn't just take a foul and move the cueball over so shane can't leave him on the point. Literally nothing good could come out of the shot (kicking at the object ball). If he took a foul another ball would spot up (2 then on the spot) which forces the other player to either take a foul or split the balls up on the spot. There is no 3 foul rule in bank pool (one pocket has an optional 3f rule)

      True, i think he tried to leave the cue ball against the rail and make the object ball. Misjudged it i guess concentration fell. He was getting very frustrated too

    I like the eclipse analogy,,I play a lot of bank pool that is an excellent way to explain cue ball coverage of an object ball.

      Inside English which is the right side of the cue ball in this case shortens the angle and so does hitting it hard. Meaning he can overcut the 5 ball and the English and speed compensate for it.

    • @ShinyhunterKeck
      @ShinyhunterKeck 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Yes, but you can never let go of the cue, for example lay it out on the table with no hands involved. This results in a foul.

    I watched this because I'm an SVB fan, but I find it rather interesting how Morra breaks right handed but plays the rest of the table left handed

    • @davidbehrens4760
      @davidbehrens4760 ปีที่แล้ว

      John Morra is right-handed and used to play right-handed, but switched to playing left-handed a few years ago because of chronic neck/shoulder issues on his right side. He still breaks right-handed because he needs the extra power.

      Similar to 10, 9 ball once you hit object ball something has to hit a rail.
      if you accidentally pocket a ball it gets spotted.
      first to bank 5 balls in wins.

    Shane is a great player, but like so many of today's pros, he is tediously methodic and usually boring to watch. I prefer to watch truly exciting players such as Earl Strickland, despite his occasional temper tantrums, as well as Francisco Bustamante, Efren Reyes, Alex Pagulayan and former greats like Mike Siegel, Keith McCready and even hustlers like
    Rudolph Wanderone, aka Minnesota Fats. One of my favorite memories was watching Alex Pagulayan flip a coin for $5,000 after he had just won that amount playing the ghost one late night after the regular tournament ended. By the way, he lost the flip and shrugged it off. If you are not a gambler, you have no business in a pool room.
