If you're ever in Denver, come to the poolhall downtown. I can show you in person how to make these and more technical banks. Ellerman and Thorpe aren't great bankers as that isn't thier best game.
Go DJ you clearly don’t follow pool much, Billy is one of the best bankers in the world and consistently finishes high at Derby City. Mitch plays real strong as well and finished high this year as well. If you don’t think either of these guys play great banks I’d love to stake either one of them against you in bank pool any day
You play too many video games. This is called "bank pool" and it's not a game mode. And you mean "I will try it next time." You forgot not just 'I' but the period LOL. You may not want to try that 'game mode' and stick to the video games at your house.
The money is there however the competition isn't. Welm, do you got what it takes to come get you some or you going to donate? I will not leave Northeast Ohio for no amount of money due to obligations however I'll repeat come get you some, but don't come empty-handed cuz we're not fools around here
@@sheilamclaughlin963 well it is hurting his game. I live in the Philippines with a lot of good players. Many really really good at banking and kicking. They don't hit the ball nearly as hard as Ellerman does. The guy that beat him in this video did not consistently hit the ball so hard. Sometimes hitting the ball hard is needed to shorten an angle, but this guy missed far too many shots because of hitting almost every shot too hard.
@@jamesdavis8731 Maybe it's not hurting his game, it's just that you don't know enough about bank pool. I live in America where THE best players are and all the Filipinos come to play the best (Why do you think Efren, Jose Parica, and many others Philipino players had to play in America? The money and best players). One thing is Efren (& Busty) have the WORSE unorthodox stroke, as any licensed pool instructor would tell you, and if he they both had to relearn the right way they would basically start from scratch again learning pool. The same way Efren and Bustamante shoot wrong but still win is how shooting hard banks can NOT hurt your game, but rather enhance it. (i know this has gone way over your head and intellect at this point James) What you don't understand about bank pool is the trajectory of the ball is greatly influenced by the speed. You hit the ball harder it tights, softer it goes long. Maybe Ellerman learned how to bank hard, or his shots were going long so he tightened them without changing where he is actually hitting the ball. I bank hard and make shots with as much or higher % than Billy Thorpe, but I also make more technical and harder banks that Billy could never see because banks isn't his game. As someone said not just the old bankers hit them hard (like the most famous Eddie Taylor, regarded as THE best banker of his time and possibly today).
@@godjhaka7376 LOL. You are honestly clueless. Not every bank needs to be hit super hard - that is obvious. And don't tell me about Filipino players. I was around them EVERY day for 16 years. Some of the best bankers I ever saw did NOT hit every bank super hard. And you actually made my point for me!! Some banks need to be hit softer to widen the angle, some need to be hit harder to narrow the angle - they don't ALL have to be hit hard! Comprende? Thanks for making my point or me. LOL.
😄 I know right! I play banks and the person who thought me everything I know told me that it is simply common courtesy. I said ok, but to me it makes no difference, I guess we all like to know if we can still make the 9 on the break 😁.
@@MrElPoderozo1 that's just how bad some people's brains are wired, and it separates the best from the peasants. As someone who wants to get to the pro level of pool, this was a great watch!

Fire the scorekeeper. They're about 30 seconds behind all the time. 😒
I like this game mode
Will try it next time

Billy has a chance to go to all 3 HOFs one day like Varner and Taylor
All you talking about the break
have no clue. The break is just as important as in 9 ball. You
want the first shot and control
of the table.
Well this isn't 9ball, this is BANK POOL Charles. You don't even know what you are watching LOL!
You don’t want to draw either one of these guys in a tournament
I would love to challenge and I just might be there next year. Retired nothing else to do. Prepping my weapon sticks now

Ah, your woman won't let you because you been a bad little boy? LOL @No Bull
I hate hearing myself doing commentary lol yall probably hate it too 😭
Ellerman is good at banking but he would be a lot better if he didn't hit almost every shot like he was trying to kill someone. Jesus.
All the old bankers did that

What is the point of racking as if they are playing nine ball?
Just an old habit.
Short rackbanks and maybe habit
