Merhaba dear Turkish food lover friends :)www.turkishfoodtravel.com/2020/12/14/how-to-make-lahmacun/ In the end of the Ramadan month i am sharing lahmacun recipe you wanted as a gift for Eid ul Fitr :) It is really a popular great Turkish street food of all time. I hope you make and enjoy it. Share you photos from my instagram @turkishfoodtravel , Ramadan Mubarak!
@al-Haifawi jazakAllah khayr for your answer, yes I am not sure it will cook through as I always precook meat on pizza, samosa, etc. Never tried this way. I ll look up the dish you said :)
Wow I have not had these in 20 yrs since I left California Where Middle Eastern food is easy to find... Made these tonight for dinner topped with sliced onions and tomatoes, they were beyond delicious! My whole family was delighted and impressed! I love this recipe, will make again... Thank you so much for sharing ❤
Very useful for those who do not have an oven. By the way, I have tried this and I find it always very tasteful and very fresh. You can add cucumbers as a topping as well. It also goes great with a salad on the side and a very cold lemonade
I love lamacun. I actually ate it today from my local restaurant and thought why not check how to make it at home. I came across this channel and it seems pretty straight forward to make. You have yourself a subscriber, ey mashaAllah!
This recipe is amazing. Any time I am at a Turkish restaurant this is my go to dish and I have even tried to make it myself at home but it has never been great. Following this reminded me of Istanbul so much. The dough is nice and crisp and the beef topping just spoons on perfectly. Thank you.
My husband always go to the Turkish store close to our home to get Lahmacun. It's a routine for us because we both love it so much!! I'll try to recreate your recipe
Lezzetli tariflerinizi severek takip ediyorum :)
Ma shaa Allah, looks delicious, i always wait to go back to Lebanon to eat it at my dad's restaurant as am not good at all in making a dough but now i can make it at home. Teşekkür ederim
Merhaba Aysenur, this is Susanne from Germany. I've been watching your videos all day. They are lovely to watch and your calm voice helps me to get through a cold and grey day trapped in the house due to the corona shutdown. I would love to try your Lahmacun recipe as my son loves it very much. In Germany we mostly eat them with zaziki on top. Don't you do that? And how would you make it? Thank you very much for inviting us to your kitchen. Take good care of yourself, Susanne
Nope we don't do that simplest is parsley and lemon and may be other salads, I think it will be nice though (we already drink ayran with it, so yoghurt will be nice with it) I think you need to keep the yogurt warm so that the oil in the lahmacun doesn't freeze. We also almost never put cacik (or tzatziki or zaziki) or the other sauces you put in doner in our doner sandwiches (it will be a fancy one if someplace serves it that way in Turkey). I was very surprised that doner was served like that in Germany, UK etc. In Istanbul they put fries etc. in it, but in most of Anatolia they would just put some greens or onion in your doner sandwich that is all.
I'm in Seattle but I love Turkish food. Due to the coronavirus, my husband is in charge of grocery shopping and he has bought so much ground beef. I've already made tons of dumplings, potsticker, quesadilla and we still have tons of ground beef left. Can you believe that? Anyway I suddenly remembered Lahmacun and it makes me so happy to have found your channel. Thank you for sharing your recipe and presenting them in English. I also really love your episode on walk with me in Istanbul, it really took me to a different place, like I am actually traveling! Please stay safe and best wishes for you and your family.
Shukran for sharing your recipes.I made lahmacun for lunch.I didnt use yeast but a teaspoon of baking powder.Slow fried it in a cast iron pan.Tasted great. The lahmacun i rolled out very thin.I added a onion and tomato sambal. Will definitely add it to my quick lunch recipes.Your videos are clear and easy to follow.May Allah bless you with good health Ameen.from i love turkey Cape Town
Yuuuuuum, yuuuuum!!!!!! We have a Lebanese restaurant next to our home so we often have dinner there. I tried this....special " pizza" some years ago. I 've made it myself too but, I've just seen the original !!!!!!! Now, I know!!!! As I've already said, Turkish food is absolutely great!!!! Thanks, thanks, thanks!!!! Love and hugs from Romania🤗
I tried your recipe for the first time today and wow! My Lahmacun turned our sooo well! Thank you Aysenur for uploading so many traditional Turkish recipes that are easy to follow and taste amazing! ❤❤
I have a Turkish wife and I love to surprise her with authentic Turkish food. About 2 years after we were married I joined the military and another two years after that I we were stationed in turkey for about three years. This is one of the best tasting lahmacun and best presentation of its preparation I have ever found. My wife will be happy tonight.
I tried b4...it turned okayla..but still hv the delicious texture into it which hv bread taste tht alright...only filling not that kick like u did...i will try again coz if i can to hv turkish dish everyday on my table😍
My grandmother used to make lahmajun by hand. I don't remember her ever using a food processor. Either way, it's a lot of work, and whomever makes this must really love the people who eat it. Great video, and I love the suggestion of adding tomatoes and parsley as garnishes. I typically just used lemon juice, but now I can upgrade!
We lived in Gaziantep. We are in America now and none of the Turkish restaurants sell lahmacun anymore. My kids consider it their favorite, so I want to try to make it.

A lot of Turks here in Belgium, Turkish bakers always have lahmacun & i freaking love them! I'm here cause i'm trying to spend less, so i'm here to learn so i can make lahmacun on my own! :D

Eid Mubarak! MashaAllah this looks lovely. Is it.ok to precook the meat mixture in a pan before adding it to the bread?
@al-Haifawi jazakAllah khayr for your answer, yes I am not sure it will cook through as I always precook meat on pizza, samosa, etc. Never tried this way. I ll look up the dish you said :)
I live in a community in London with many Turkish & I am from Caribbean descent & I love Turkish cuisine

Lol that's one way of ensuring you won't get a reply, saying tzatziki instead of cacık to a Turkish person ;)
Meistens tut man in der Türkei einfach nur etwas Salat und einen Spritzer Zitronensaft in den Lahmacun.
Nope we don't do that simplest is parsley and lemon and may be other salads, I think it will be nice though (we already drink ayran with it, so yoghurt will be nice with it) I think you need to keep the yogurt warm so that the oil in the lahmacun doesn't freeze.
