  • In this video I install 8" Hertz SV200L Midbass Drivers into my Harley Bags using SPL Bagger Audio Speaker Rings.
    I know that the back of the bags is a better spot for these speakers but the amps were there before the speakers, so... ya just have to work with what you have. Thanks for watching.

    Loved your vid great job. Still you shoulda put a real sub in. Your gonna be pushing that woffer for all its worth and with a sub you can turn it down to desired bass level

    was loving the SPL rings but that price was way out of line for a plastic ring and mesh,that also in the end you were trimming

    What silicone spray do you recommend to apply to the speaker?

    • @i.b.lancer
      @i.b.lancer  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, thanks for watching. You want to get a silicon waterproofing spray. The kind of stuff you spray on rain jackets and such. Keep in mind that speaker companies will tell you that this is not a recommended treatment but I've been putting this kind of spray on speakers for decades and have never had an issue. Do so at your own risk.. just say'n.

    Shoulda jumped into a sub. If you wanted real sound. Throw 6.5 ct sound subs in .

    • @i.b.lancer
      @i.b.lancer  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No depth for those kind of subs in Harley bags. You’re pretty much stuck with shallow subs.

    • @RadarLove84
      @RadarLove84 ปีที่แล้ว

      @gabe giguere
      Subs take a lot more work, bracing, sealing and porting bags...depending on the Subs you will also have to fiberglass the inside of the bags to reinforce them....

    @I.B. Nice and clean work bud!! What blade and saw did you use to cut the whole for the bag??

    • @i.b.lancer
      @i.b.lancer  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I used a body panel saw with a fine blade. This is the one I bought... amzn.to/42QgFdh It's pretty much the only saw type that I'd make this cut with.

      Black silicone. You can find it at your auto parts store. Window sealant will do the trick as well.

    How were you able to stop the vibration noises in the bags? If you have any.

    • @i.b.lancer
      @i.b.lancer  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m not hearing any serious vibration noises coming from the bags. You have to remember that these aren’t subs.

    • @jmaxx73
      @jmaxx73 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@i.b.lancer yes I know. Subs wouldn't work in bags anyways. I have 8" GZ yellow baskets but even playing down to 55hz is low and bags rattle a little.

    • @i.b.lancer
      @i.b.lancer  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      For the power I used Anderson type plugs.. amzn.to/2MS8StF

      drilling Holes isn't as effiencent as properly cutting out the entire hole for more movement of the speaker

    • @marcmo7138
      @marcmo7138 ปีที่แล้ว

      The kit offers you a template for drilling multiple holes if you choose.
