Appreciate your channel. I bought a 23 rg st last October and have followed your lead several upgrade like RWD front and rear. I installed the hertz 6.5 inch front speakers before my first ride. Last week I basically ordered the same kit as you minus the head unit. Keep up the great videos on only high end great quality products.
Man I've searched your channel and I can't find the lid cut out kit for earlier than '14 Models.. 2010 street glide cvo.. thank you for your service and thanks in advance 🫡
Love the videos my guy, but i have a question. I am doing an audio upgrade on my 22 Road Glide, but how do those bag liners fit post audio upgrade? Does the liner mess with the wiring at all?
Thank You! I definitely appreciate the support. The liners do not interfere at all with the wiring. They hide them real well, and keeps things from snagging on them
Love your videos... thank you for helping me spend my money!!! I don't know if this is the BEST audio for Harley, but in my opinion, it's a LOT better than the Rockford stuff that you installed 2 years ago on your red RoadGlide. I bought and installed the Rockford system on my 2022 RoadGlide after watching your video. I've since replaced the amp and all 6 speakers with these Hertz ones from Volunteer Audio, and I'm pretty happy with them, but I DO wish they were just a little louder... I'm always looking to get a little louder! (I gotta start looking into some subwoofers maybe.)
I saw one dude up here at an HD dealership near Seattle, he put 10K into speakers, amps and subs on his RG, loudest and clearest system I ever heard. I asked him if he wins audio competitions with that bike, he said "every time I enter, yes"
Volunteer Audio is known for Under Powered Systems. Hertz sp4.900 barely powers the 6x9s when Bridged. On a 4 speaker System with 6.5 and 6x9s I would do SounDigital 400.4 Bridged for 6.5 and 800.4 Bridged for 6x9s. For 6 Speaker System I would do SounDigital 1200.2 (4 Ohm) for the 4 6.5 giving about 250-300w each and 800.4 Bridged for 6x9s.
Great video as usual. I purchased the same kit for my SGS, minus the Soundstream. I’ve installed the uppers and lowers and it sounds amazing. Now I’m watching videos of you and Jay to build my confidence to tackle this cut kit. Keep making great videos and enjoy the new system.
That’s awesome! Once you cut into your saddlebags one time, you find that it’s probably the easiest mods you can ever do. Thank You for watching the channel, and for the continued support 🤘🏽
Last week I ordered close to same system for my 2018 Road Glide from Volunteer Audio. Hertz stage 4 with saddlebag 6x9s, SP4. 900 amp, and Soundstream Reserve V2. The Soundstream V2 is still on pre-order so I won't get everything till April sometime, can't wait!
Yeah Soundstream should be shipping to Volunteer Audio the end of April and then they have to configure everything before they can ship so I'm thinking it'll be sometime the first half of May. That's perfect for me because here in Minnesota riding season is just getting started then.
I did a stereo install on a 2013 street glide It amazes me that Harley changed absolutely nothing with how the tank mounts or anything else I bet I could do a 2024 model with 1 eye closed I’m also running 44amp hr worth of lithium battery bank Full volume bike off for 3 hours. Totally fine
@RadarLove84 200-300w would be alot even in a car setup. Typically even if a speaker is rated to something like 150-175rms you still are only going to be driving the at 75-100rms and maybe hitting a 125 peak all of this of course assuming you have 4 or 5 channels running off the same amp unit. Rule of thumb I usually go by is 2/3. 4 2-way speakers rated at 150wrms, on a amp rated for 600wrms distrubuted as 100rms/channel×4
Have the SPL show speakers and SP 900 amp, something went wrong and it blew a 60 amp in line fuse to the amp. It powers up with the green light but no output now. It's being replaced under warranty. I ride with I pretty loud so we shall see what the 2nd amp does
Swift… not so silent… deadly lol. awesome bike brother! Fellow Marine here. Love the channel, good content the filming and editing is nothing short of professional… wish you the best!
How's it sound at highway speeds? I can hear my stock going 70-80mph just enough to sing the song in my head. I'd like to be able to cruise and jam out. But, I'm also on the fence, a system or headset on my full face.
It sounds loud and clear! You can definitely jam out with these. Never liked the music in my helmet, It makes me feel disconnected from the ride itself.
Because I have a police flhtp it didn’t come with anything and I will be getting the sound stream with the hertz speakers. How much room do you loose in your bags with the speakers in the lids?
I’ve been wondering if the Magic dongle works with the Soundstream radios so glad to see this vid. How is the stability so far? Any problems disconnecting? I’m running the HDHU14 but assume it will work if the SI accepts it. Thx!
I can tell you right now that amp isn’t putting out 1000 watts and a motorcycle battery doesn’t have the amperage or charging system strong enough to run a true 1k amplifier. This amp is fused at 50amps so you will be lucky to get 500 watts max out of it bridged down.
Ok dippy. Maybe should watch the testing videos on the amp. It actually puts out more than advertised. Ok now back to entertainment watching your mom slurp and gulp.
@@derfskittlers6125 geeee I only do car audio. What do I know. Lol 😂 let me know when you’re dumping 15,000 dollars on builds. I can tell you right now a 350cca battery and a 60 amp stator is NOT supplying proper voltage to a true 1k amp.
But Robert Simmons said that Soundz was the best! So confusing. I guess whoever sponsors is the best. I love Jay but let’s be real here. Sponsors show up and honest reviews are out the window.
Any video I put out, sponsored or not, my name is on it. Most videos are all opinion based anyway. What sounds good to me, might sound different to someone else. Well I’m no influencer and can tell you I am thrilled with my system from Volunteer Audio. HDHU14 head unit, Precision Power speakers and Hertz 600W amp. It kicks ass over stock. Anything over about 35 on the volume slider makes the ears bleed. Totally satisfied here.
@RAIDERWORLD I would only recommend Hertz to people in Canada 🇨🇦 Electromedia parent company of Hertz started smoking the good stuff when they raised the prices 1 yr after SPL line was introduced.. They aren't worth $445/pr for 6.5 or $550/pr for 6x9 in the US. They need to go back to intro prices. They cant compete with other lines at their price point like Euphoria Xpert, Beyma, Diamond MSNeo, Ground Zero, Cicada, or PRV. GZ 6.5 Neo and GZCF 69 SPL are same price and handle 3x power. PRV Carbon is cheaper and Handles twice the Power.. Lot better options.. Not an opinion, just facts based on stats, graphs and RTA comparisons.

How big of a difference did you notice with the rear 6x9? I've got the same kit minus the rears and have been going back and forth on buying them.
It’s a noticeable difference, but even more so for the passenger
It's a noticeable difference when powered correctly. I put about 200-300w to 6.5s and 300-400 to 6x9s. I would power your system with SD Amps.

I can feel and hear the surround sound in every speaker. I’ve done a test where I unplugged the rear speakers, just to know the difference
I have front and lid speakers. The lid speakers are definitely hard to hear at highway speeds but they offer that fill that is needed.
