    How’s the AIO holding up in box without the spec’d ventilation space? Not a criticism as I have my AIO hanging off the roller box handle on hooks but want to put it in a box like yours with a breaker box so I can have more than 1 circuit. I use mine 24/7 though, is that how you use yours?

    • @i.b.lancer
      @i.b.lancer 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Not sure what you're talking about. I don't have an AIO in this build. This past summer I was living in a camper trailer for about a month and used it every night for lights, computer, toaster oven and coffee machine every morning and did not have one problem with overheating. The fans would go hard but it never overheated. On a couple of really stupid hot nights I would open the lid to take the pressure off the fans but for the most part everything was rock solid. I think the highest temperature I saw in the box was 38c. Not even close to dangerously hot.

I lived there before these a holes moved in They were annoying, constantly bother my wife and I. Always had to say hi or talk too us. We ended up selling and moving to a more rural area. We now have more land and space. No neighbors at all. Best move we ever made. We aren't anti social but I do not need to be around ppl 7 days a week. We prefer not to be around anyone else or have neighbors, not necessary. We would rather have the peace and quiet and not have to worry about a holes.

    As with electric vehicles, the battery technology is simply not where it needs to be for many (most?) users. You have a fairly small driveway, and the two batteries barely finished the job. When the wet spring snows come, I do not think you will be able to clear 14" from your driveway. Spare batteries for this Ryobi machine are $259 each, and an extra charger is $89. Thus, to get two spare batteries and a charger, you will easily spend more than $600. This brings the total cost to about $2,000, which is a lot of money for a small (22") machine. My gas blower finally died after 23 years, and I was really hoping to replace it with electric. For me, the main appeal is the quietness. Unfortunately, the available electric machines cannot handle my needs in the mountains, so I will buy another gas machine.

    New subscriber here. Your “moving video” popped up in my feed and I watched it and can relate to the annoying karaoke!! I don’t mind dogs barking because I have two little ones myself, but we keep them under control. I’m from British Columbia, lived here all my life, and I’m at the age where I want to start spending more time on life than work. As much as I enjoy my career, my wife and I are now looking to get out of the Fraser Valley and move somewhere either to the West Kootenay’s or up near your neck of the woods. All those little towns strung along the Yellowhead Highway (Hwy 5) have charm and potential for affordable acreage. I’m looking forward to watching your other videos and new ones that you will be producing. Thanks so much!

      Hey you're welcome. Born and raised in the lower mainland myself. I looked around the west kootenays as well but ultimately settled in Clearwater, almost solely because of the shops on this property. If you're going to look up the Yellowhead keep in mind that the railroad runs up and down this valley. They don't really bother me that much but I can still hear them. If you want to come this way, I would really look along Hwy 24 between Little Fort and 100 mile. No trains, no logging trucks and lots of lakes. It's very peaceful over there. Thanks for watching.

    • @i.b.lancer
      @i.b.lancer 22 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I believe the 8-24in bulbs is a good number to cut down on shadowing and bouncing. I just think that the wattage is a little high for the 6" distance that I have in my box. You don't want to go down any further with the bulbs (because of said bouncing). I just think the lower watt bulbs may have been a better choice for my box. But this all has to be experimented with and tested to know for sure. At the end of it all, all I'm saying is that I think my time is a little fast. But with that said, I'm getting use to it.

    I envy you. You are doing what most people like me can only dream of, but never being able to do. God bless you, you found the peace and quiet you deserve.

    Good evening Sir, would love a class on how to do the electrical and wiring. This is mind blowing and for a single father of 3 that prints to supplement my main job this would be phenomenal to make. Specially for here in Florida. Would truly appreciate if you can teach someone like me that has zero knowledge of any of those electronics how to do it.

    It’s so sad neighbors can’t simply respect their neighbors anymore. I’m so thankful to live in a neighbor hood with older people. They are quiet so I match that energy. Hopefully you find peace again

    Brother, this video speaks to me. I went through all the same stuff as you a few years ago. I now commute 45 minutes each way, everyday, and pay twice the mortgage. But!...I have 99 good days for every bad day. Where as before, I had 99 bad days for every one good day. Cheers! Glad to see it worked out for you! I wish people were raised to behave better and stay in their allotted bubble.

    I can change out electrical switches, outlets and change light fixtures, can’t or won’t do anything with a breaker box. I’m a 72 year old woman and had rentals. I knew usually where the problem was, you have to learn or you get cheated! Ha. You seem happy with all your projects planned. There is always something to do.👍🏻 NW Oregon sub🇺🇸

    Logging is the only reason that California hasn't burned all the way to the ground. Your governer blowing federal land management money on illegal aliens is why so much of the state burns in summer. Oregon has the exact same issue. Southern California is the only part of the state that actually manages land with their federal funds and wildfires there are a rare event.

    "Garbage heap island" family moved in next door to me about six years ago. It's been a struggle ever since. The previous neighbors all had their quirks, but nothing like these degenerates. Burning barrel in the front yard burning all types of illegal substances, loud music all weekend, loud engine noise at 11pm, 20 people living in one house, 8-10 cars in the driveway looks like a junk yard, lots and lots of LOUD yelling from everyone at all times. I'm not trying to stereotype, but I've had "garbage heap island" neighbors before and it was literally a mirror image of what I'm going through now. I'm guessing we'll be moving at some point, but with the housing market, inflation, and interest rates the way they are now, we're stuck. Can't wait for this market to open up, hopefully soon. After watching what you were going through at your old house, I definitely would've called the police to complain about noise ordinance violations every time it happened, and called animal control about that barker. Then after watching the end of your video, the silence you hear at your new property is what my present property was like when we moved in, but when you live within earshot of other people, there's always a high potential for bad neighbors to move in and ruin it all.
