    As a DIY guy myself....a clean install is of importance. If the next guy have to work (or even yourself) or troubleshoot behind the install, they can and will see exactly the flow of the install. Thank you for both videos, strip, twist, solder, shrink, added disconnects, and cable management.....dude you rock and I greatly appreciate your dedication to detail.

    Great install. My ONLY critique is, please please PLEASE, when your "wedging" a wire in somewhere, use a plastic wedge tool so you don't take a chance in nicking a wire. Other than that, your more than welcome to come on down to Florida and help me 🌴👍... LOL

    Awesome video.. do you have a video about your lower set up ? I've been looking at different pods what do you have going on with speakers, amp and pod?

    • @i.b.lancer
      @i.b.lancer  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t have a video dedicated to just the lowers. The pods are custom made so I can’t recommend those. I do know that Hog Tunes makes a pair that look deep enough to except a decent sized magnet speaker. My speakers are ground zero, the new yellow basket 6.5 coaxials. The amp running the lowers and the tour pack speakers is a Rockford Fosgate TM400X4AD. It’s a bit under powered compared to the other stuff on the bike but it still sounds good. And the signal to the amp is coming from a Rockford DSR1 DSP. That’s really the heart of the system in my opinion. The whole system is 10 speakers, 4 amps and it would be a nightmare to control without a DSP. Thanks for watching.

    Great detailed vid! I have a similar setup with mmats 6x9s in my lids and the hertz 200s in the bags. What crosovers are you using? For the lids and the mid bass in the bags??

    • @i.b.lancer
      @i.b.lancer  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      A Rockford DSP is handling the frequencies to the Hertz 200's and the 6x9's have their own crossovers that are made by Kicker but I am really unhappy with them and was looking at the DS18 2-way passive crossovers. I'm open to any input anyone has on 2 way crossovers. They have to be good for at least 300W.

  • @Smoothnf

    I have dual hertz Sv 200.1 8 inch in saddlebag facing wheel. Should I run them on the subwoofer output or rear speaker output…

    • @i.b.lancer
      @i.b.lancer  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tough question without knowing what else is in the mix…If you don’t have tour pack speakers then run them off of the rear channel, if you have tour pack speakers, run the 8 inch off of the sub channel and set the crossover “All-pass”. Or don’t.. personal choice.

    • @Smoothnf
      @Smoothnf 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @i.b.lancer

    • @i.b.lancer
      @i.b.lancer  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Strip off equal amounts of casing on each wire then push them straight on with each other and give them a little twist, then solder and heat shrink. It really helps to have a set of clamps to hold the wires while you solder them. Like these... amzn.to/3ckaeYW
