Love the videos and you’ve really got me in to detailing my new car . Could you do a video on exterior plastic trim protectors / restorers. I’ve not got faded ones yet but want to protect them first . Maybe compare some brands TIA -Paul
I don't mind the basic stripes but sometimes I see people go OTT with them! It's nice for a customer but I don't really do it on my own car, as it is more of a show thing 👍
once I've cleaned my matts I usually dampen them down with some carpet cleaner, brush the matt all one way and then spin it round 180 and pull one down in the centre and two or three either side
Another fantastic and informative video Dave I hate all them stripes and design in fabrics good old smack against the wall and hoover for the floor mats mate.
I'm with you, too much can look tacky.... With that being said though, a few subtle lines on the mats might just get the customer thinking...that's a nice looking touch! Like you said in the video, that might just be their deciding point on whether or not they come back. When I detail a customers car I always ask if they'd like an air freshener or not. Some people do and some don't, I would probably use the same approach with lines in the carpet. That's just me though.
Nice mat finish , shame I have rubber ones. Also have a question ref prewash spraying. After application and subsequent jet wash I have streaks . Is that lack of product or dwell time . Comes off after snow foam and had wash Thanks
Hiya Dave Ive messaged about getting plastic coated chrome back to shiny after been weathered/oxidised. Is it even possible can you recommend anything? Or a video would be great
Hi please help as I am prepare for winter !! Do you know which is best to use soft 99 hydro gloss was water repellent 150 g car wax or water block super splash light 300g ! Thanks for another great video cheers BRIAN
I don't mind the stripes if I'm in a rush I don't have time for lines I'm in there trying to make dimes. It's all about the money there is no time for all that fancy Miss unless I got a client that I always do the lines for
stripes? why lol. glad that wasnt a thing when i used to show my cosworth. surly is wont last long as soon as you put your foot on it lol. thanks for the video and as always very informative.
Drawing bloody lines on a carpet has never been so entertaining.
Mint vid again👏
Love stripes...on carpets and grass :) superb video!
Thank you

Thank you for the video Dave. I don't have the patience for doing stripes but some people love them so thank you for the useful tips.
I've applied the same method on my lounge carpet using my trusty old Henry vacuum cleaner. (Other vacuum cleaners are available). Dad 😂👍🍺
Priceless Dad,
I hope the family appreciate it 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Don't mind either way, a change every now and then is nice tho
Definitely less is more
I normally leave carpets alone but ill try this out. Great video, keep up the good work!
Stripes for me but only on the mats. Good tips.
Another fantastic and informative video Dave

Nice video and I love the content, question is could you do a video on completely restoring a scratched wind screen
love that 100% up for that
Your videos are fantastic. Thanks. I don't suppose you have one about pricing. What to charge for what, for newbies starting out?
Hello Tony as a Matt of fact I do 🙏
I come across your video and channel. New sub. I’m from 🇺🇸🤙🏼 Great content. Been Detailing for 19 years.
Nice mat finish , shame I have rubber ones.
Also have a question ref prewash spraying. After application and subsequent jet wash I have streaks . Is that lack of product or dwell time .

Stripes yes. They’re awesome
Definitely simple stripes, but you're right, you have the have quality mats!
Great video:) thank you for showing up this
I’m not that bothered really both ways looks good.
Thank you
Can you just spray a little water? Or should it be watered down interior detailer?
@YumCars new video to copy
We'll have to wait and see 😬
fabric softner also works
if it was for a friend etc i was doing the car for then maybe Id do it . Something to try at work on Vauxhall mats if we are quiet enough
Stripes are nice, like you said Dave you have to have quality mats, but I like the Stripes using the pet hair brush 👍👍
Are you responsible for them crop circles in Surrey? On your every day car not arsed , top sports car owners would appreciate the detail me thinks.
Deff stripes
Think diagonal look a bit less weekend warrior, and more classy myself but each to there own.

is there anything you don't use those floor tiles on lol
I use the stripes as a reference. When stripes are no longer visible it's time to get hoover out.
They’re not for me, but each to their own!
I use strips just a bit of attention to detail ,
I think if you’re paying 300 plus for detailing they should do the extra little details but at home clean is clean I don’t need stripes
Stripes stress me out. They’re just going to get messed up. Fluffy and clean is all I go for.
Personally I don’t really care for them, I’ve tried them when detailing my own car, I think they look a little tacky, however each to their own.
Great video and not a FAN of stripes across the pond. They look cheap and not very professional in my opinion.
Leave it alone
Fair play, definitely not surprised how many people hate carpet stripes on here lol. I'm ok with them but don't necessarily love them
Not a lover tbh
Hater🤬🤬🤬🤬
To me it looks awful.
@valetnova stripes are the best ❤
