    Here's the best price I can find for Premier Protein Shakes: amzn.to/3S6xEUB
    This is an affiliate link. Feel free to use it or don't. There's no extra cost to you. It simply helps me purchase more product to review for the channel.
    Also, it's important to mention, an affiliate link is NOT a sponsored link. I paid for this product 100% with my own money and reviewed it independently. I have never received any financial compensation from manufacturers for reviews. Companies never know that I'm reviewing their products before a video gets published.
    It makes no difference to me whether I love or hate the product, I simply tell you my candid opinion.
    So while I can receive commissions for referring sales to products, if you end up being disappointed with my recommendation and don’t come back to the channel, I lose my audience trust. This is why I always set a very high standard for my review process, and constantly strive to provide the best, most honest, and most helpful information.

    These are shelf stable. They only need to be refrigerated once opened. Now, the flavor may be improved by refrigerating, but it’s not required (unless you purchase some that’s already been in the fridge).

    • @feast_good
      @feast_good  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      You're correct, Chelsee. In my opinion, though, they don’t taste nearly as good at room temperature (though they are still technically consumable), so I found it important to have some ready in the fridge. AFter opening, yes, they need to go in the fridge whether you like it or not.

    Glad I finally discovered a product that works well with my schedule. I drink one of these with each of my meal which makes it really easy to hit my 1 gram of protein per pound of lean body weight when I pair it with other protein rich foods throughout the day. They taste great and although the protein percentage is fairly low compared to other products on the market, the taste and convenience outweigh that downside.

    For anyone looking at this video and going to the gym (or doing whatever) for gains, here's what I have to say: This protein shake *DOES* work.
    Don't entirely rely on it for muscle gains though, like this guy said, 75% of calories is the protein but that's only a fair amount, you'd have to take several more of these a day to get real gains alongside other foods but you CAN work with this shake for gains and I can attest to that.
    I've made a blended protein drink with creatine and some added sugar with Premier protein and it works well. You can also just have them on the go after or before meals and gym workouts to get that extra bit of protein in for the day. So if you workout and were wondering if this drink works, yes it does; just make sure you work with it correctly and efficiently.
    Good luck and thanks to anybody who has read this. 💪

    Why not just drink 7 of these per day? That’s 1120 calories, 210 grams of protein, 8 grams of sugar, 24 grams of fat, and 1260 mg of sodium (based off of the one I have which shows 180mg per serving)..so while this may sound crazy, it puts you at over 200 grams of protein, an exTREMELY low intake of fat and sugar, very low calorie total, and under the average recommended sodium intake per day.
    So why not just drink 6-8 of these a day and eat one meal of solid food. Your calories would still be 2200 calories or less depending on that meal with insane protein? Tell Me why this wouldn’t work.

    • @feast_good
      @feast_good  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Give it a go and let me know how it goes. Genuinely curious about how you perform and feel.
      However, you could probably be a bit more precise with your caloric intake and macronutrient distribution to optimize whatever your goal is.
      Who knows if 2200 calories is enough or not. Who knows if 210 grams of protein will get you toward your goal. Maybe it's actually too much protein based on your current bodyweight and goals. There's a lot to consider here.
      One thing is for sure though, you're probably not going to get all the micronutrients (vitamins and minerals) you need from simply drinking these shakes -- you need different whole foods for that. Premier also uses some combination of synthetic vitamins. If you want to learn what that means and why it matters then I encourage you to read our article: feastgood.com/premier-protein-shakes-reviews/.
      Further, you'd probably just get really bored of drinking shakes. After a while, you'd probably not enjoy it.
      (It should be stated that nobody from FeastGood, including myself, are not doctors, so talk to your doctor before beginning a nutritional, and/or supplement routine)

    Costco has it cheaper 18 pack and sometimes on sale for like $27 regular $35
    The taste is ok to me compared to other brands, i use the coffee flavor and put in my coffee ☕️ in the morning. Not sure about the refrigerated because in costco it’s sitting on a palette in a room temperature here in Hawaii , but after opening sure must be refrigerated also taste better refrigerated.
    I wasn’t fan of premade protein shakes but getting 200g of protein is hard so I use 2-3 a day with my meals . I have different brands to change flavors and if I use powder protein i put in blender frozen fruit, avocado sometimes peanut butter and oats . Sometimes water sometimes milk or almond, coconut macadamia nut milk . I get bloated from dairy 🥛 so I try not to drink regular milk. But this protein doesn’t seem to upset my stomach so Ive been drinking it over 2 years now.

    • @feast_good
      @feast_good  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ya, there's definitely price fluctuations now with it going on sale and being offered in places like Costco.
      About the refrigeration, that's what I meant and I should have been more clear. It needs to be refrigerated after opening, but it 100% tastes better if its refrigerated regardless.
      Nice to hear it doesn't bloat you. I know other people have said it does. But it's totally individual.

    Good stuff. A few questions. Any thoughts comparing Premier Protein versus Pure Protein brands? If 75% of the calories of this product come from protein, can you suggest a brand or two at the excellent 85% plus level? Oh, and one more. What small, inexpensive, convenient food item(s) might I add to this to make it a legit and full meal replacement shake? Blend it with a piece of fruit maybe, like blueberries or prunes or a banana, or something else? You mentioned some almonds on the side, would that do it, or other? Thanks. I've been thinking about using Slimfast's High Protein Meal Replacement shakes, but those include soy protein (Whey and soy), and soy is not as high quality and complete a protein, while Premier, and apparently Pure, have Whey and Casein, both high quality and part of milk protein, whey for quick absorption, casein for more sustained absorption, and I like this combination a lot more. But Slim promotes itself as a full meal replacement shake, where Premier and Pure do not, so I go round and round unsure.

    • @feast_good
      @feast_good  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I've definitely thought I need to do some Premier Protein versus their competitors. It's on the list of videos. I think it's going to be hard pressed to find an RTD shake that is 85%+ in terms of protein percent of calories. At that point, you should really be looking at a whey protein. If you want to turn Premier into a meal replacement, a handful of almonds and a piece of fruit would suffice.

      Carrageenan subjected to harsh acid hydrolysis is what could cause health issues if consumed. Colon Cancer like you said is one of those potential outcomes. Now from what I’ve researched it seems like the majority of studies show our human stomachs not being acidic enough to make this conversion. However there are some groups who believe otherwise. Ask your doctor/nutritionist if you’re concerned as always. There are many other food items that contain Carrageenan such as chocolate milk, ice cream, soy milk, sliced turkey, microwaveable meals and frozen pizzas just to name a handful. While I appreciate the OP’s intent to spread awareness of the potential health risk, it’s severely lacking in information and a little misleading.

    Thank you for sharing this!! How about the VEGA Vegan Protein Powders? That is the one I use.

    • @feast_good
      @feast_good  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We haven't published a full review of Vega yet, although personally, I don't like the gritty texture of Vega. Vega has a few different product lines. This one (amzn.to/3ZK1G3t - affiliate link) we've mentioned a few times as a good plant-based option since it is considered a "complete protein", which not all plant-based proteins can say. It's also fairly low carb (4-6g) depending on the flavor, which again, not all plant-based proteins can say. If you're not looking for a plant-based protein specifically though, I don't think the price is justified. Vega costs between $1.98-$3.23 per serving depending on the size and specific product. The average cost of whey protein across all brands is $1.34. So A LOT more expensive if you're consuming it on a regular basis.
      With that said, premier protein shakes are considered a 'Ready to Drink' protein, so it's not a powder like Vega. It's a totally different product and use case.

      Most powders tell you either 1 or 2 scoops make up the nutritional serving on the label. Most of the time its usually 1 scoop per 8oz (give or take) of liquid, and you can add more powder or more liquid depending on how thick or strong you want the flavor.
