    Again, great vids, awesome to see the real versions you show of missed reloads and extra shots. Really can feel the internal pressure you put on yourself with driving the speed. I think it speaks to the fact that one needs to push in practice, your skill level is fun to watch man.

      I appreciate the recognition of the process my friend. It's always a difficult journey to the top that ends with your own resolve. I love this journey. I hope my videos help others with theirs.

    Interesting... back to the sport after a decade break to shoot CO. I though it was just me that REALLY missed having the mag well! Thanks for sharing!

      Try dry firing at half speed to instill consistent orientation of your magazine and your magwell. Build up to normal speed and even pushing to your limits. The goal is not to let your technique get sloppy as you practice though.

    Love you pulling back the curtain and letting take a look at your practice session.
    Can you explain the initial grip on your gun, are you driving the web into the grip/beaver tail or are you
    Doing a scoop and wrapping the webbing of your hand into beaver tail? Your draw is ridiculous!!!!
    Thanks for the content.

      First of all thank you for the compliments. As far as my draw, I do a snatch type draw. To explain it in detail would probably take a little bit so I'll probably do a video on it soon. Honestly, it's nothing special I just simplify what I do as best as I can.

      I think your draw, is the Foundation that ties in the video you made on your grip. Appreciate your vids bro.

      Speed is the last part of the drill. getting your hits one for one on the steel and nailing the reload is more important. The speed is a byproduct of mastering fundamentals.

      @@isaaclockwood1839 got it. Thank you for identifying the priority. Get the hits. Smooth the reload. Then rinse and repeat to reduce time😁💪💪

      @@isaaclockwood1839 so would you say that you're gripping much with your strong hand? Also, are you trigger slapping, riding the reset or the whole racing your slide back to the wall thing?

    • @isaaclockwood1839
      @isaaclockwood1839  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not alot of grip pressure in either hand really. I never ride the reset, ever. I slap and prep press only.

    These transitions are amazing! I still would love a "how u draw" video. :D I have the same gun, same holster, silicone carbide grip, but i have problems getting a consistent grip. If i miss it a few milimeters, the hand sticks there. :(

    Nice drill Isaac. What distance are you using ?

    • @isaaclockwood1839
      @isaaclockwood1839  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      These targets were only about 7 to 9 yards. This is a closer than normal drill that I use to push speed and my limits. Still I don't want to get too carried away with speed and sacrifice visual patience and accuracy. It's a balance between the two.

      @@isaaclockwood1839 Thanks for the quick reply, I tend to practice my full size IPSC targets at 8 to 10 yards when working on speed but figured when trying this drill I was definitely going to bring it in closer. Looks like an excellent drill. We're indoors this time of year but figure I can use mini poppers instead of steel plate. When I give this a try Wednesday my time to beat will probable more in the 6 sec range.
