I just went through two boxes and they were once in a lifetime. Found three Barbers 1904 O 1911 S and 1913S on a ender. Two 2009 90 percent proofs. Four Walkers Six Benjamin Franklin. Three 1964 Kennedy. Thirty two 40 percent and a 1986 Ellis Island commerative. 9:50
While it is environmental damage I don’t think it’s metal detecting. The reason is quantity you have vs their circulation status since the 70s. They just weren’t used that much to have that many. Could it be a dump? Maybe. But I still don’t think someone would find that many in the ground over decades. Maybe I’m off my rocker. Welcome back. Glad you are!
Nope, that’s a great question. I take the other coins back to my bank and they dump them into a coin counter, then they give me new boxes of halves. Just a big cycle of coins
I would have to rewatch this video but I think I found 8 silvers in this box. I touched on it a little in the video but all the coins look the same, which means the same person dumped them all at the bank. Each of the 40% halves I find in these videos are going to be greenish from tarnish and since 1967 and 1968 are the most common 40% half dollars, you are going to see what looks like the same coin a TON. I end up finding over 125 silvers in these three boxes. SPOILER 😁

Yeah very true! Just look really rough. Especially the non silver coins.
Silly question, what do you do with all the non silver coins?

Is it just me or did 1 of those coin keep popping up in every roll?
