I have the DJI v2 goggels and vistas I've been heavily considering swapping to walksnail, would you say walksnail is better than the old DJI V2 box goggles and vistas? Mainly want to get away from DJI as they don't really give 2 craps about the fpv community and what we want. Also afraid vistas / links are going to stop being produced when the new "04" DJI system comes out.
My best results with walksnail came from changing all of my antennas on quad and goggles. I use trurc on my goggles and vista rush cherry on my quad. I like it and performs good where I fly is pretty noisy. Awesome flying!
Just went from analog to Walksnail. I will never fly analog again. I too have been very happy with the Walksnail system. I have the Pro camera that I love. Baldman you are the BOMB. Fantastic flying as always. I know that I can trust your opinion.
I'm still rocking the V2's and I needed this video to give me confidence to switch to a better ecosystem with a cheaper vtx. Thank you I'm all in for WS.
The beauty of walksnail is the flexibility it brings... from building a Tinywoop, Toothpick or a Beast quad... walksnail has you covered with all the sizes, 03 and Vista do not offer you this.
While I have neither of these systems, I enjoy the ride. I got like 30+ tiny whoops (more 65 than 75) and some a lil bigger. I recently evolved into flying ACRO mode, coming from Angle/Horizon. Your videos inspire....❤
2,7k 4:3 100fps best Latency feeling with G2, and Ham file Mod needed for all the power. 120fps is like a doubled 60fps mode, feels the same as selected 60fps in G2, thats why you felt it at beginning. Nice comparisson!!
I’m building my first walksnail quad this week with a Flylens 85 frame. Plan is to strip down a Walksnail Avatar pro v2 and run that since the penetration is supposed to be solid. Got the Walksnail Avatar X goggles to use it with. I use the DJI Goggles 2 right now and they’re really good.
@@LehtusBphree2flyFPV yeah a bit building a chaser now and we like dudes like this who fly for fun and talk about what they’re flying non bias.. Spence flies more than I do .. we don’t have a external camera at the moment suitable for edits .. 😆
120FPS mode on Goggles 2 sets 30fps you see in the Goggles because the Goggles 2 have only 100fps screens! 100FPS is the lowest latency mode with Goggles 2. Awesome flying tho bro!
glad to hear you are happy with those goggles, as someone not as skilled as you but coming back into the hobby from 2014, I just couldnt afford th 03 air unit with as many drones as I wil be flying, economically alone for myself it just isnt worth it to drop big money on the DJI Goggles 2 when they are already hiunting at the next generation of DJI coming, and if they are true to form, none of the older goggles wil be able to run next generation....at least with the Walksnail they have stated that their goggles will be upgradable into next generation of walksnail....eventually walksnail will catch up, or another company will rise from the ashes and spank both AND listen to FPV community base. Long story short, Im with you on going Walksnail line
🔥🔥😎 I hate a lot about DJI but it's hard to beat that sharp image!!! Also 03 footage! You're getting clear fpv and 4k footage for the price of the action2 or less than GoPro.
Why the swap to Walksnail again? I personally chose WS from the beginning but you can’t deny DJI has a better image. I am happy to see more people coming over to WS though. Makes me feel like I may have chosen the right one from the beginning.
@@kavorka8855 when was this? or which vid? also was it misinformation or accident? @@kavorka8855 congrats to u buddy, but also if you're afraid of crashing then dont even get into fpv, especially if its freestyle/racing, youre gonna spend a majority of your time crashing into things, if not breaking them then scratching things up, so theres that, also u can always go for the sim until youre comfortable enough to go to the real thing, and when u do just go to some open spot so the risk of u hitting something thats not the ground is lower, and ofc have fun, no point in joining fpv if u arent having fun either
Fantastic Flying, brother... The beauty of walksnail is the flexibility it brings... from building a Tinywoop, a Toothpick or a Beast quad... walksnail has you covered with all the sizes, 03 and Vista do not offer you this.
I left DJI for walksnail ans havent looked back. WS is just a better over all experience. Quality is better than the vistas, range is the same as the vistas. Waaaaay more options than DJI for builds. I just enjoy WS more and have yet to find myself missing DJI. Still own the V2 DJI goggles and one 03 quad. Never use it. WS gets too much hate. When in reality it sits between the vista and 03 but you have the ability to whoop or long range.
Technically the range is very different. For fixed wing long range, DJI isn't an option. With the Vista's hard limit being 13km, I can go more than double that on WS!
@wattage2007 I'm talking about freestyle specifically when comparing it to the vista/v2 I used to fly. I'm aware of DJIs hard limit. But also a valid point for walksnail
Newbie here. I want a great experience at a value, not free. I want to build custom drones for fun with my kids and friends. I am considering investing in the radiomaster boxer and getting my sim hours in. Does radiomaster work well with walk. What walk goggles should it I use. Or is there still value in old school analogue?
nice freestyle mate, not sure if anyone mentioned it but the patches should be on top of the walksnail goggles as one of the connecters is rx, probably the difference would be minimal but I thought it was worth mentioning. But now I think about it for freestyle is you fly behind yourself and dont turn towards the drone like when you do long range I guess the stubbies are better on top. I fly these with the true rc patches on top and the stubbies on the bottom and I tested them against DJI and the difference is super small if you compare penetration. I have a test on my channel if you would be interested
Nice ripe dude, O3 has a better penetration.... but I still love the features from Walksnail.... give it a little time and let us see, what next firmeware updates brings
I just can't fly DJI, the latency just makes me sick, but i can fly Walksnail cuz its more locked in but i can still feel the latency, so i still mostly fly analog due to the latency, the image never bothered me when ripping... But i bought walksnail cuz it is nice not needing to carry a thumb camera on my micros! Plus a 2.5w vtx is hard to beat with good antennas...
Dji makes me feel nauseous as well. Rocked hdzero all last summer until I tried walksnail. Mostly fly walksnail now, unless I'm feeling in a rut. That's when I switch back to hdzero for a while. When range isn't an issue, hdzero is the king of confidence. I still have a couple of analog quads, but the vtxs are getting harder to get, and hdzero has about the same range.
V2 goggles have lower latency and higher frame rate than goggles 2. Goggles 2 give you more resolution and OLED, but i still prefer V2. Ive done alot of side by side testing with V2 vs G2 and the V2 also gets more range and penetration wit stock antennas and has 4 options for antenna upgrades instead of 2
@@BaldmanFPV I Def feel that going between Vista and 03. With the Vista feed stuttering a bit l at close range. Like the frame rate is less consistent and hiccups occasionally, but seemed to be resolved on 03.
Nice flying, but I don't get why people use a hero session (If I saw that right) instead of just the o3 footage. If you really want the best of the best, okay use a hero 12 but just for a vid about flying - the o3 footage would be way enough.
So I’ve never flown DJI, but I’m really happy with the WalkSnail system after flying analog for a few years.

Breathtaking flying! Walksnail is amazing for the money and it's great that there's proper digital HD competition for DJI now.
