Goggles were sent out for repair late April, delivered May 10th, was told repair process is 2-3 weeks after receipt of the item, June 29th, still no info. Definitely enjoying my Goggles X that I was able to use 3 times. Glad I have mostly analog and HDZ stuff installed.

@@elxero2189 yeah seems like people who buy HDZ lately are committed to it. I have batch 1 and 2 goggles and have not had issues with either set. Only had issues with analog once which was resolved with firmware updates. They seem quick to respond to issues when they come up as well. I have 3 backup freestyle V2s that I was expecting to need to use but haven’t needed to replace anything. I have a TanQ frame running HDZ that I took out in a blizzard and it still works flawlessly.

I think the real reason is because they only have a market share of 10% or maybe less, there's just not a lot of people who own them so there's not many for sale used. Plus, they are so expensive ... way, Way more than any other goggle, that once people finally saved up to buy them they didn't want to take a loss by selling them used... And they took so long to actual get them in hand!
It's simply too bad the penetration and flying distance you can get "close to the ground" is so damn poor! It's maybe 30m before the snow starts to overwhelm them. Especially with any objects in-between you and the drone.
Good ole Analog2! ... So close to the performance of "top quality" Analog, but typically over $900+ to get up and flying. 😢😮🤷
Definitely THE WORST VALUE in the history of FPV! Where else do you spend soooo much and just get a tiny little improvement over plain old Analog FPV performance! 💯🤦

But no overheating issues, I run it for hours at a time in the Sim and it's been holding up flying in 100 degree heat. Caddx as a company are a bit frustrating for sure, I used to have a tarsier camera and I had to just stop using it because the software quit working. The software itself was half baked and from a third party. They need to work on their software side of things.

Yeah... My second set, the first was replaced for near constant black screens in January with a set with the heat sink improvements that arrived mid February, over the last couple weeks has been getting worse and worse to the point where if I plug them in before the aircraft, they will overheat and show a black screen before I plug in the craft and go fly. On top of that there's been no firmware in months with any fixes, new features, nothing. We haven't even seen anything for the moonlight that would make it dramatically better like any color modes that it already has as an available feature... with 1 option.
To me, it feels like they are putting 100% into whatever this new RF board they said was coming when they announced the Goggles X, probably giving all of us with current "beta" hardware the middle finger to buy the "improved" version.

They said they could give me a discount on a new unit, so I bought a new unit with a discount. I feel like I wasted $450 buying these. I have gotten 2 flights on my goggles X since I bought them 6 months ago. Had overheating issues from the get go, and would only boot up 1 out of 10 times. Contacted support, was instructed to order the updated heat sink. I ordered it, got it a month later. Finally got it installed (which btw is probably not something that a newer fpv pilot should be getting into. Just my opinion.. Easy to damage the ribbon cable or one of the 5 ufl's)
Installed the new heat sink per the Walksnail Wiki. I am on the newest stable firmware, 37.42.5 iirc. Image looks good from an Avatar unit, but within 5-10 min my image in the goggles are solid pink again.
I ended up buying used Avatar V1 goggles so I could still fly walksnail while getting my goggles X sorted out. I really want this to work, so I can fly micros, and so I am not stuck flying only DJI. At this pace, the goggles X have soured me. I would have preferred to just get a replacement set, or send them in to have the work done. I feel like I shouldn't have to be elbow deep in new goggles.😅

Bummer Bro! I fly my 60g 85mm whoop, similar to a Pavo Pico with a naked Vista in it, and it flies great. I also built a 75mm whoop that's 35g, but the sweet spot seems to be 2" props minimum. The 75mm is too fragile. But, micros are possible with DJI and they fly really nice too! Best thing is they have the reliability and durability of DJI. Unsurpassed in quality and performance, FOR SURE!!!
People need to not lean on the manufacturers to build low weight, but durable micros for DJI. NONE of the BNF's are even close to the low weight you can build yourself! The manufacturers just don't get how to build to low weight, but still make it durable.
Easy to build with a Vista/ Link, with just 4 wires. A hot, a ground, and an in and out for a Uart! Easy peasy! Love it, and no bullshit like with Walksnail and no super expensive HDZero with it's piss poor performance and penetration!

Would be really nice to support a competitor of DJI, to prevent monopoly. But sorry, just for the sake of not buying DJI, all the hassle? Yes, O3 OSD is a bit shitty, especially for Arduplane Pilots. But still better than that. No overheating, crystal clear image, 20km range with two mid sized patch Antennas.

Get a Walksnail HD Pro package and then take the heat sync off the VTX (as it comes with the Nano). I did this after seeing Chris Rosser mention it…
You'll only be able to record 1080p60fps with the DVR instead of 4k, but it's $150 instead of almost $300 for a naked o3. You need to shave every gram of weight when you do small digital builds…
Also, the Walksnail pro HD camera is FAR better in low light, which helps for a drone you could potentially fly inside.
      I'm not a fanboy, so don't think that-I build my 5" with DJI o3, but it's a heavy VTX…
If you want to do o3, Flywoo sells a naked o3 unit.

03, but if you don't care about 4k video from a small craft like that, just get a Vista/Link and lighten it up for even better flight performance. They're easy to make naked, which lowers the weight even more! I have an 85mm whoop I built with the best Vista and it weighs only 60 grams! Way, WAY less than any Pavo you've seen reviewed or for sale. Easy install too! Just a few minutes...💯😎🤘

It's nice that there is competition.
Unfortunately Caddx isn't really coming out with even near finished products, it seems more like, give them something new, they will buy it anyway.
They should be ashamed about the Google X
And that cable to connect the parts of the moonlight VTX sorry that's poor product design and being to cheap to change it to be perfect, or even be good.
    I'm disappointed
Only thing which keeps me with walksnail is the 1S VTX cause it's light and unfortunately DJI won't come with something like that.
HDZero was also fine but to expensive to keep it.
I hope there will be someday a better solution

For me, the main issue is the lack of updates for their VTX Moonlight, which has numerous problems (automatic white balance that just doesn't work, no log options, bugs, and poor range and penetration)
The majority of these problems are easy to fix, but they just haven't been fix which prevents these products from being used on professional shoots for me

Signal issues still suck and aren’t flyable. I tried to send these back to caddex and it’s gunna cost me money to do so because they don’t send any shipping labels or QR codes in that process so the customer has to eat the cost of shipping. Caddex said try sending through different carriers even though I did that. So now I’m out of 450$ and Id have to spend another 200$+ for shipping to send them back to China from America. Trash product and trash customer service from my experience.

You shouldn't have to send them back to China! They should have some dealer here that can take the return for them. Did you buy them from China? If so, I highly suggest that you never do that and ALWAYS buy from a reputable USA dealer for this exact reason. With the dollar being so much stronger than years ago, I used to buy from Banggood because they saved us quite a bit over USA dealers, but now a days USA dealers are cheaper than China. Plus, they stand behind their products they sell so you don't have to send stuff to China.
Have you checked on the exact shipping cost? Because that's a very small box that goggles come in and I've never shipped to China before because I don't buy high ticket or known unreliable products, like Walksnail goggles, from China, but I'd think with the box being so small and the weight being so little it wouldn't cost all that much to ship them to China.
      BEWARE:
If you use USPS and they lose them or damage them THEY WILL NEVER, EVER PAY FOR THEM when you file a claim! Even if you buy the Best insurance from them, THEY WILL NOT PAY!
I know...I have been shipping products for around 2 decades and ALL - EVERY SINGLE ONE - of my dealers and wholesalers REFUSE to ship via USPS because they've been burned every single time by USPS from them not covering claims. They're the ones that warned me to never ship ANYTHING of any value with USPS. If you do, and they lose or damage the item, you're out for sure. Great for trinkets and low cost stuff, but anything of value - DON'T EVER USE USPS.
This is a fact and I am not exaggerating!
Those wholesalers, etc. have never had a single claim paid ever! They've argued with them and tried and tried and never got paid. Just don't do it. Even when shipping somewhere in the USA, like the dealers and wholesalers do, don't use USPS except for very low value, hard to damage items. They told me the ONLY thing they'll ship with USPS is the gravel for the bottom of aquariums! Low cost and impossible to break! Lol
USPS has always been a flaming shi% show! A terribly run company!!!
Just use Fedex and UPS, even if they want 4 times the shipped charge. Do it! At least they are a reputable company and will pay their claims when they damaged or lost a package. Buy insurance, of course. But you are safe with those two.
Hope this helps. Figure out the size and weight and get an actual real quote... It'll be expensive but at least it won't be a complete loss.
      Good luck.
Buy DJI from a USA dealer and never have a single problem. Seriously... Bardwell himself has said many times he can't remember hearing about any issues at all from DJI products. Literally ultra reliable and durable. I agree. I've never had a single problem, even minor.
Myself, I've heard enough, that I'll never, ever buy a Walksnail product no matter how good the future products are said to be. Just too flaky and unfinished when you buy it.

Between the overheating, fogging lenses, failing and needing repairs, and promised features still not seeing the light of day, etc, etc, etc. These Walksnail X goggles barely, if at all, seem ready to be marketed as a complete and solid product! Even 8 Months After Release!!! Same thing happened with the original model of goggles Fatshark had their version of.
Such a shame Caddx is in such a hurry to release literally incomplete products FOR US CONSUMERS TO TROUBLE SHOOT FOR THEM!
